So IslandsRestaurants has worked fine for years, with the exception of trying pay at the table. Ever since iOS 15.1 was released IslandsRestaurants crashes immediately after opening. This is on my iPhone 13 ProMax. It still opens fine in my iPad Pro. I have been told by Islands’ corporate office that they are aware of these issues and a completely new app will be coming out after the first of the new year. Meanwhile you can still use the website interface.

Visited the Fullerton Islands and was beyond disappointed with the service. We sat at a table in the bar were completely ignored. Ordered an appetizer and our diner came out before the appetizer and then the appetizer never showed up. Couldn’t get anyone to refill our drinks. After our meal we placed a take out order and that was brought out quickly but then we couldn’t get our check to close out. Food was good but the service was so bad it ruined our meal.

It’s been over 1 year since I left a review for IslandsRestaurants. It still stinks. I am not sure what bugs you claim are being fixed with your app improvements, but I have some bean stalk beans for sale. I have repeatedly attempted to reset my password to no avail. I also called Islands Corporate who told me IslandsRestaurants developer is aware of the bugs and was supposed to fix it. Well, it has not been fixed so I think the developer is full of s#%*. I love Islands, but I think they got ripped off by an app developer who got paid and didn’t deliver. Also, I was told I am not the only person with this problem.

I ordered 2 burgers online. But there is no option to have a burger with veggie patty !! So I called the location to switch the patty to veggie patty. They confirmed over the phone that they will make sure those would be veggie burgers. When I reached the location and was taking the package it had MEAT BURGERS !! Turns out the person on phone never modified the order or told the kitchen. And I had to wait up another 20 minutes for the correct order !! Very disappointing experience. ☹️😡

When they first opened in West LA they were terrific far outdistancing Red Robin et al but they have been passed -

They don’t have a senior burger aka the Red Robin Double Tavern and IslandsRestaurants is useless unless you live in the San Diego area - my wife has fined in the Palm Desert
Islands four times since she’s had IslandsRestaurants and not once was there anyway to record your visits to earn a free burger. - that isn’t s problem at Red Robin- like their burgers but lack of accommodation for seniors and an app that is useless makes for a bad experience-

Previous orders can be saved but we you try to add it to cart, it states that certain items are not available, but items are available. You have to add those items back 1 at a time. No point in saving previous orders.

20 characters for special instructions is not enough. This is a big issue when you have food allergy and providing special instructions.

IslandsRestaurants makes it easy to order and pick up etc. but there is NO phone contact on any of the locations via IslandsRestaurants . Why is this ?
So to actually pick up your order curbside after ordering directly on IslandsRestaurants , you have to use a google browser and look up the location phone number. That’s simply ridiculous.

IslandsRestaurants doesn’t let you place the order with credit card every time I try it just says problem placing the order but when I select to pay for it in the restaurant it works. So I’m going to give this three stars because this can easily be fixed.

Been going to Islands for over 30 years. Now with all the QR codes and the high prices due to Biden’s inflation, and Islands computers not working and the new Islands account we set up not honoring freebies, we pay through the nose for what we normally got for far less and with far less effort. Not to mention we have to work too hard to try to figure out what they’re wanting us to do with all the F’n QR codes. Not a happy camper, honeymoon‘s over, will consider Islands perhaps sometime in the future but no more on a regular basis.

We enjoyed our meals, as usual. Unfortunately, although the service was good up until we were served, it was difficult to get a box and our check once we were ready to go. We had to ask a couple times and it still took forever.

I go to Islands a lot. I sit on the patio because I bring my dog. The service on the patio is ok but not as good as on in door service. Sometimes there is waiting for service and to get food. Today I decided to take a break from Islands. Yesterday I had to wait to get someone to bring me a napkin. I had to call the front desk. They work hard don’t think patio is assigned to anyone. Seem to be rushing to service the patio. Adios Islands!

I wanted to express my happiness with Kristen and my service and my smiles and everything I get from her when I’m in your Islands Restaurant on Palomar Airport Road. i’ve been going there for years just due to her and Kelly. There’s a lot of us locals that go to this restaurant and come backEvery time I walk in the door.

We were disappointed to hear that we are no longer able to order just the flat wings. That is the number one reason we come to Islands on a weekly basis. Your combination of wing sauce and teriyaki sauce is amazing. Hopefully in the near future that may change.

I love the sweet potato fries and like to grab pick up sometimes after a long work day. Always quick and consistently good service. I wish I knew all of their names. They are all always friendly and proactively helpful. Thanks for everything!

So we ate at islands tonight. Our server was Anna. She was very polite and very attentive. Our glasses were never empty. Fries were very hot and came before our burgers. Order was accurate and the food was fantastic. All in all we had a great experience. Next time we will ask for Anna again. She’s a great server. We will definitely be back

I’ve been coming to islands for years... the customer service and management is A+!! They check on us several times throughout our meal and make sure we have everything we need!! Terry is a fantastic manager and the staff provide service with a smile!! Thank you islands for making every visit great!! See you again soon!!

Visited the Vista location and the service was really good and the food was excellent. I had the cheeseburger and fries and my wife had tacos. Both meals were served quickly and the fries were nice and hot. Really like the decor at this restaurant and the bar is large with lots of booth seating. We look forward to our next visit.

We have been dining and lunching at the Manhattan Beach Islands for decades. It’s like a second home. We love the food and the managers and other staff. Everyone is friendly polite, not stuffy polite, efficient, conscientious, hygienic, careful, just wonderful every time. We sorely missed going inside during the pandemic but could always get great service at the curbside. Soooo delicious!!! Many thanks for hanging in there!!! Liss and Bill

Great food and prices! The Sherman Oaks location needs to hire more people so you don't have to wait for a table since half the restaurant in empty!!!!! We had a great server, Matthew, who was very enthusiastic and attentive. Hire more Matthews! The manager stands around and watches football and doesn't manage the restaurant very well. The floors are dirty under the tables and aren't cleared off throughout the restaurant. Need more bussers! Islands has a great concept but they need better management and more servers! Scanners should be issued to the servers for the gift cards to make it more efficient. Also, enable IslandsRestaurants to load a gift card. Hire me to consult in improving Islands!

Jonathan helped us today and he was great. The food was also good. First time trying fish tacos - didn’t disappoint.
I want to thank Jonathan for his honesty- when I asked about a certain appetizer, I asked for his input on taste, said it was good BUT he didn’t think the cost was worth the portion. I thanked him for his honesty. Ordered our usual chips and guacamole- which he also let me know would be free by signing up on the new Islands app. Overall experience- great /. Server- excellent- looking out for customer’s best interest, THANK YOU 👍

Love both but Simi just has that something extra we love. My name is Darlene, my husband Dean and I have been coming to Islands after our adventures in Chatsworth for several years and looking forward to continuing the adventure here, cheers!! Thank you to servers Jason and Mikey in PR (soon to be actors/stars extraordinaire for their personal attention), they made us want to keep coming back no matter how dirty and worn out we were from our rides/hikes .

We ordered the Double stack and it came with fries. For $1.99 we got endless iced tea..

Great burgers and better service. Our server was also the bartender and she was awesome..

Today we stopped at Islands in Vista ca for lunch. Once again, we got a flawless and delicious meal. We love bringing the family and they have something for everyone. Adult beverages… yum!! Great service and very attentive. The food was delicious. Had another great meal at the Mission Valley location today. We had a large group and “Makela” our server was wonderful and attentive. The food was hot and wonderful as usual. You can’t beat the ambiance and all things exit your mind when you walk into a tropical setting like this. Can’t wait to go back..

We forgot that they have modified business hours and we were the last ones there !! We felt bad afterwards but we had a great time and nobody kicked us out. The food was excellent as always!! The customer service is great too!!

All the staff are friendly & helpful more than most places. The drinks and food are tasty & good portions. The chicken wings are exceptionally moist and flavorful compared to anywhere EVER!!. We could go on but we’ll review again. Glad that Islands came to SANTA BARBARA, even though it did replace one of our favorite restaurants.

MyHusband and I go to Islands in West Covina almost weekly. We have never had a bad experience and the food has always been great even when we use IslandsRestaurants to order. We like the fact that we hear about specials on a weekly basis and we use IslandsRestaurants for rewards.

I ordered on IslandsRestaurants , arrived to the location and called to notify them I was there. My order was taken to my car and everything was complete exactly as I ordered it! Excellent friendly service!

I dine at Islands almost every other week. What makes this place so special? It’s their staff. We usually sit in the bar and lunch it. Their team is efficient, always takes the time to come and welcome us back. Love the oriental salad and items on the appetizer menu. It’s one of my go to places!
