Elation is trying to be a user-friendly and modern portal for correspondence between patients and our doctors. That’s great.
Unfortunately, the app has one astonishingly terrible limitation: you can’t be connected to more than one practices! That means if you have, say, two or three separate offices (ex: your pcp, your ob/gyn, your ENT doctor) that ALL use passport, the app will allow you access to one of those offices, but none of the others. There is no way to add another.
In the online portal, you can simply choose which medical group you are looking for and it will switch you to seeing communications from and with them. You can add as many as you want.
I’m astonished at this limitation. It seems uniquely stupid and like something they should have considered as soon as they created it, if they are trying to become a revolutionary communication tool for the medical industry as a whole. When I corresponded with Elation support, they said this is something they are aware of and plan to adjust eventually, but have no specific date or timeline for it.

I only use this because my doctor does and I’d rate lower than 1 star if possible. App is slow, clunky, and unintuitive. Extremely limited in options like log in choices, customization. Twice now it has crashed safari when changing appointments and lost all tabs in the process. The app is poor quality and doesn’t run well. If the forward facing part of their business is this bad doubtful they are safeguarding my information in any meaningful way. I hope my doctor doesn’t pay for this garbage

From the doctor’s perspective, the app is close to useless. It only allows messaging with the patients, but cannot access the schedule, cannot prescribe, cannot look up labs.
In addition, the EMR itself is very limited, must make your own templates. Some of the issues I’ve been having for a year keep “being addressed, but NOT resolved. ; I am also having a lot of difficulty getting “credentialed “ by the EMR for controlled substance prescribing! Also, the “zoom telehealth “ does NOT work. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS EMR.
