I downloaded XtreamTV and deleted XtreamTV after a week. It’s useless! First of all, you have to be connected to your “home” WiFi to see your recorded shows . Secondly, XtreamTV shows you a list of various shows that are “available” but when you click on a show or movie NOTHING happens even when you are connected to your home WiFi. I literally see all of the episodes available for viewing but can’t get them to play. Then there are those that I can see listed BUT I have to have Prime Video to watch . Umm , there is a Prime Video app so if I wanted to watch a Prime show why would I even need the Extreme app. They should trash XtreamTV and start over because it is useless .

Works fine once you get it working but spend most time trying to connect and reconnect to system. Also, it will not let me stream while away from at home. They need to make significant improvements to the functionality.

Tried to stream a program today. It does have a selection to view on iPhone, but clicking it doesn’t do anything.

The help and troubleshooting buttons under More - settings just take you to a generic help page on Mediacom’s website. Totally useless.

XtreamTV is garbage. Apparently you cannot watch live TV on it according to Mediacom unless you are on the same network as your router. What the hell is the point in that? Needless to say I was told that I could watch TV on XtreamTV anywhere when they signed me up just like the dish anywhere app! I’m upset with Mediacom‘s mediocre service!

Constant error
There was a problem logging in, only option is try again. No way out of the loop.
When you can get it to log in you cannot watch on the iPad it claims it is not on the home network even though it is. This is one that needs negative stars.

XtreamTV never works, unlike other cable companies apps XtreamTV never wants to open a program, plus you can’t even use it when you are not at home. Why even bother with having XtreamTV if it’s not going to work, wait, just like your cable which is out again, now I get it.......

Tried to access my shows from my phone while away from my house but apparently that feature isn’t available. We have a top tier mediacom package yet I can only access shows through XtreamTV if I’m on my home network. Ridiculous and basically false advertising.

Mediacom advertises that you can use XtreamTV to watch live TV record shows and play them back but it doesn’t work 90% of the time every time I go to playback a show I get a message error saying I’m not allowed to watch TV outside of my home when I’m inside my home

XtreamTV does not work. Will not log in and locks out the account.
Uses email account to log in instead of the Mediacom account that you use to pay your bill.
Wish we had a different cable provider in Santa Rosa county but Mediacom bought off the county commission and are the sole provider with slow internet and spotty telephone service.

What I am writing is probably nothing new to anyone that has downloaded and tried to watch something with XtreamTV. No wonder its ratings average 1.6 out of 5. Anyway here it goes. Even most - if not all - the open air channels are not allowed on XtreamTV.

Only reason I rated 1 star is because I couldn’t give it zero. XtreamTV worked once. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times. If you’re lucky enough to get past a loading screen to an actual sign on attempt it says no content available in every category. The channel guide doesn’t even load.

I’m a brand new customer as of 3 weeks ago (no other choices) and have tried downloading and setting up as a NEW USER. The good news is, XtreamTV downloaded correctly from the Apple App Store. The BAD news is I can’t sign on as a NEW USER. I’ve deleted and downloaded again, no luck. Oh, my first BILL was incorrect also and I spent 1 hour talking with a customer service rep IN THE PHILLIPINES. News for you Medicom...there’s plenty of AMERICANS who need a job. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH XtreamTV OR COMPANY. STAY AWAY. Makes me realize how reliable Comcast/Xfinity really is.

Literally the most pointless app. It doesn’t work unless you are connected to your home wifi. The whole reason I wanted it was so that I could watch my shows when I was away from home. I asked mediacom customer service why anyone would even want this if they have to be at home to watch it anyway so you could just go watch your shows on tv? Stupid. It won’t even play my shows when I’m connected to my wifi.

I used to love being able to watch my recordings from anywhere in the house, but XtreamTV stopped working on my iPad and iPhone (both with up to date iOS). There’s no in app reporting so I’m trying here. Error is “problem with streaming device,” says running start up might fix it. Running start up results in “setup problem. There was a problem connecting to your streaming device.”

Very unhappy both with this issue and with lack of in app reporting.

Had trouble with it at first when trying to use my iPhone on my home network to watch TV. However once I connected to my home network and worked with it a bit - it worked. I choose browse for a tv listing of shows, then select “get show”, then watch now once it starts recording I select “watch now”. Not sure how well iphone will work on the road but will test out soon.

PC access to tv works on the road when connected to another network and log into Mediacom using Mediacom ID and Password.

I was told that I could stream remotely from my iPad using XtreamTV like I was able to with my prior ISP Spectrum. However, nothing works on XtreamTV. I called customer service and they actually recommended using other methods such as utube tv to stream!! Why would I pay twice for the same service…I couldn’t get her to understand why this be ridiculous. Admittedly, once you read the description on XtreamTV itself, it does say within your home….again, pretty much useless. The second that our small town has another ISP, I will change over. I sure miss Spectrum!

Basically doesn’t work, at all. Bad enough that you can’t watch anything away from home or even sign in but what’s worse is that it thinks I’m not home when I am and trying to use AT HOME. No options to use my location etc. Appears app hasn’t updated in awhile, is anyone monitoring it? Help get XtreamTV working again please.

I spend more time trying to connect or reconnect my connection to my home system. It’s not worth my time. Plus, I was told I would be able to stream anywhere, it will only allow me if I’m at home. Why would I want to stream on my phone if I have my TV available?

When it works, it’s great! But I’ve discovered that about daily I have to close XtreamTV (slide window off screen on iPad) and then reopen from the original icon (not the one on most recent line). I hope you can get this fixed soon. Haven’t tried this away from home so I’ll see how that goes...

Took a moment to connect but boom! I’m scheduling my shows from the road and taking them with me to watch on my flight. Love that I can live stream to my tablet and watch the game when I’m grilling out.

I downloaded XtreamTV. It wouldn’t let me log in, reset my password, or get any help from technical support. After an hour of messing with it, I realized I will never get that hour back and they have once again fooled me into thinking I paid for a good thing!

Things work ok, getting it setup has some issues.
I had a private network connected to their Modem. The modem was set up with WiFi disabled. And the TiVo box on my private network. App worked fine, but wasn’t able to stream to my iPad even though they were on the same network. Kept getting an error that I couldn’t do it because my iPad wasn’t on the same network, but all other features worked.
I bit the bullet moved everything to the modem, and had the WiFi router enabled. Now my private router is unplugged, and all works.
I am not happy with having to do this just to be able to stream to my iPad. I haven’t tried streaming from an outside place, but I have an idea that that won’t work.
The TVeverywhere isn’t a real feature, it is more like only on Mediacom internal network.

Also when using the guide you can tap on the day and time, you get a pop up to select an different date and time, but it is ignored, and you return to where it was before. Partially implemented, but the feature is currently a waste. I would give it another star if that really worked.
