Here are some helpful workarounds that should work whenever BackUp app keeps crashing or doesn't work as expected on your iPhone 14, 13,12,10,8,7,6, SE,XS,XR.

How to fix BackUp app crashes or not working on Iphone (iOS):

Close and restart the BackUp app on iPhone
Update BackUp app to the Latest Version for iOS
Uninstall and reinstall BackUp iPhone app
Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version

Fix BackUp on iPhone unable to connect to server/internet connection issues::

To resolve BackUp network issues, Reset phone network settings:
1. On iphone, Goto "Settings" » "General" » "Reset" » "Reset Network Settings".
2. Enter your device passcode. Then confirm "Reset Network Settings".

Turn off your VPN:
1. Goto "Settings" » "General" » "VPN".

BackUp Android App Issues and Solutions

Fix BackUp not working on Android, crashes, errors or is unresponsive:

Follow these steps to resolve intermittent BackUp app issues:

Force Stop the BackUp App
1. On android, goto "Settings" » click BackUp app. » click "Force Stop".

Update BackUp to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear BackUp App Cache and Data:
1. On your device, goto "Settings" » click "Apps" » select "BackUp app" » click "Storage" » click "Clear Data" option. This Clears both data and cache.
2. Relaunch BackUp.

Fix BackUp unable to contact server/ BackUp internet connection errors on Android:

This issue is usually caused by your network. Here is how to fix:

On android, goto "Settings" » "Apps" or "Manage Apps" tab.
Click BackUp » "Force Stop".
Next, goto "Storage" » "Clear Data".
Again, got BackUp » "Mobile Data" » "Allow Background Data Usage".
Go back to "Settings" » "Connections" » "Mobile Network" » "Network Mode".
Now, put your network on 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Relaunch BackUp on android.
