No Customer Support for Order Issues

The user experience for ordering food is great on TenderGreens, but if you have an issue with your delivery (which is just Postmates delivering your order), there is zero customer support through TenderGreens . We ordered dinner via TenderGreens over the weekend. The postmate who delivered it took a long time and gave us someone else’s order. We had to call the store to ask for a refund; they ended up taking down my email incorrectly so I never got confirmation of my refund and had to call back, and we never got our food. Our order basically never got picked up and they couldn’t arrange for another driver to get it to us- the people at the restaurant told us we’d have to place the order all over again. By then, we had already been waiting over an hour and a half and it’d be a gamble that our order would even make it to us the second time around. I’m going to stick to DoorDash going forward because that app lets you give feedback on your order and they credit you right away.

Just use Postmates

They make it seem pretty cool and good, oooh avoid the fees. Yeah, too bad 3/5 times I've used it the store has just not included an item and you have to physically call the store. Well this time they decided to dispatch the order through DoorDash, not me, TG. The manager calls me back and says I have to submit my problem to DoorDash. Except I ordered through TenderGreens. He says I ordered through DoorDash, hung up on me. Anyway, now my bank is investigating them as the transaction was solely TG. Use a different app with designated customer service or you have to deal with a 19 year old manager who thinks they know the secrets to the universe while simultaneously being unable to determine how a purchase was completed. Absolutely pathetic. Seriously, just pay the fees for a different service.

None of the employees know how to use the app

Submitted my order through TenderGreens and was told that the order was successful. After getting to the store, employees told me that the order never went through and that none of them know how to use TenderGreens . Probably better to order directly from door Dash or one of the free delivery places and pick up yourself. Employees also did not know how to scan the rewards for points which is and I think the only benefit for TenderGreens? So overall, app has issues communicating with the stores and even employees have no knowledge on how TenderGreens or its rewards work.

THE WORST delivery service

Do not ever order delivery. They outsource this to Über Direct (or Postmates) and there is no way to resolve issues with your order. We placed an order on TenderGreens which said it would be ~35 minutes for delivery and now we are 90 minutes later still waiting with no way to contact anyone. It’s the absolute worst customer experience I’ve ever had. No one is responsible for anything because the executives at Tender Greens don’t care about the customer’s experience only the cheapest, easiest to manage delivery service they can get

A Scam hiding as an app

Tender Greens likes you to use their app so they can track your preferences. Unlike other similar apps, like “Thanx”, they offer a minimal reward after spending thousands of dollars.

Just as I was about to reach “friend” level (meaning spending $800) they reset the rewards so one must now spend $3,000 to get a free salad.

The intermediate rewards (free sides) saves you fifty cents, because the rest of your meal gets charged a la carte. And the stores often don’t have the rewards available.

The preordering isn’t available at lunchtime because they are too busy.

Avoid using TenderGreens , just be a normal customer. Foods okay although pricey.

App resets / refreshes

Warning for all looking to redeem awards be aware that with the new iOS if your phone locks after you activate / open a reward or you have to switch apps before using the TG app will reset / refresh. Once that happens the award is lost and you cannot activate another one.

Never had this issue previously, so very disappointed that I lost a 10% coupon and the store location employee / cashier could care less despite me showing him I have >2,600 TG points!

Do you like rewards? Too bad they NEVER work.

“That promotion is not eligible for this order “ is all I ever see. No need for an app or points if they NEVER work.

Worthless app. Just order from their website and you get the same food buy without anyone grabbing and selling your data...

Why do I have to update my information whenever I select Rewards?

Having to reconfirm my information each time I use TenderGreens is ridiculous! Optional information that IS entered HAS to be re-entered each time in order for me to access my rewards. And if I don’t hit Redeem fast enough, the ding-dang screen pops up AGAIN!!!! This is utterly redundant!!!!!

Cheats you a little bit

What I don't like about TenderGreens is if you redeem a reward (say a free drink or soup), you earn no points on the rest of the meal, no matter how large the rest of your order. So if you want to redeem a reward, order the rest of your meal on a separate ticket to earn the points.

Neglect

Tender Greens’ app feels the same as their food lately — great idea worn down by neglect.

The most annoying bug? The “cancel” button hides under the iPhone’s battery bar. You can see it, but good luck trying to tap it.

It works. It’s fine. It’s just a shame.

Rewards expire too soon. Good food

As other Customers have written, we enjoy the food at tender greens. Too bad the rewards expire too soon for us to use them. Otherwise we would be going a lot more often

Not quite there yet

TenderGreens doesn’t show the specials that are available in person at the restaurant. Also, TenderGreens doesn’t allow payment by Apple Pay but forces you to manually enter a credit card - cumbersome and less secure.

The developers should have a look at Starbucks to see how e-commerce is done right.

The cancel button is in a bad location

The cancel button is too high in portrait mode. It’s right next to the Apple icons like the WiFi icon on the top right. It needs to be moved down so that I could actually use the cancel button without switching to landscape mode. Did no know test this on a iPhone 16 pro max?

Good food, Rewards/App needs work

We enjoy the food and go often so we signed up for the rewards program/App. Often we find the rewards we earn expire too soon or don’t work when we try to use them in the restaurant. Scanning or having the attendant try the codes don’t seem to work. Wish Tender Greens would have the rewards last for a longer duration and work on getting the rewards to work for their patrons.

Scan to get rewards?!

UPDATE: took an hour to update rewards total but it happened. Was impatient using app for first time.

Why is it necessary to scan my receipt or show barcode at register to get rewards? I bought the meal using my account. It shows as completed. Update my rewards points automatically.

FOOD STILL GREAT

Great food, issues with app

I downloaded the TG app because I love their food and eat there A LOT. A few issues: daily specials and soups are not avail on TenderGreens , and if I have food delivered thru Postmates (since TG doesn’t deliver) I can’t get credited for my purchase. Hmmm

Apple Pay?

Just downloaded & used TenderGreens for the first time. Seems to work great, but I wish you’d add Apple Pay as a payment method, rather than storing my credit card.

I Love Tender Greens

I love the restaurant and I love TenderGreens . One suggestion - you have to open TenderGreens to see if there are any free offers. It would be better if TenderGreens showed a notification each time a new available item is offered.

Best Outdoor Dining

My husband and I love coming here for the great food and being able to eat outdoors

So good

Chipotle, chicken salad my absolutely favorite salad! It’s always so delicious, and the customer service has always been amazing.
