APP IS BROKEN or has a VIRUS

I love the station BUT I have to download it 5x a day! IT ALWAYS SAYS ERROR after each use. PLEASE FIX THIS BUG IT IS OBNOXIOUS

APP is Dysfunctional

I should have read the signs before downloading WHYYListen. A few reviews stated the same or similar issues of dysfunction. They were also posted reviews from at least 1 or 2 years ago, too.

The issue for me is having news feeds appear, disappear, then reappear, just to disappear again, just to reappear, and on and on. I am deleting WHYYListen. WHYY is a great station, with excellent staff. It is perplexing to experience their app being antithetical to their actual local station.

Lots of problems

-Audio issues all the time.
- From the FM schedule page, none of the links work to individual program pages work

Annoying

Every time I listen after a few minutes app stops streaming. Only way to get it to work again is to shut down phone and restart. Super frustrating.

Glitchy live stream

WHYYListen ’s live stream seems to reload itself every few minutes. It cuts out and then restarts meaning you end up missing part of the content

Drained Battery

I noticed my new phone was holding a charge about as long as my old one and checked the battery settings. WHYYListen was running 6-plus hours a day on background.

Needs a couple fixes

Play back stops for no reason about every 10 minutes. Also all of the headings and summaries of the suggested articles are cut off so you can read them

Annoying

Why does it always say I have a notification?

Drops out, can’t Chromecast

The streaming audio for WHYYListen seems to drop out a lot more frequently than other streaming audio apps. Only way to fix it that I’ve found is to close and restart WHYYListen .

I also really wish WHYYListen had chromecast so I could listen on a real speaker while I run around in the morning instead of having to stuff my phone in my sports bra.

Very glitchy.

I like it, but needs landscape iPad support

Can you add iPad support to WHYYListen ? It won’t rotate to landscape view or support split view etc. Thanks!

Smooth & Fast

For quick live listening WHYYListen is the best! I love that my station is just two taps away! One to open WHYYListen one to press play! I have not had the issue others had with the audio stopping. WHYYListen is a great escape from the tap trap other apps will get you sucked into.

CarPlay compatible.

How awesome is it to see the whyy app show up as I scrolled through my carplay apps today. Hopefully wxpn and WRTI will follow soon.
