I understand Homeis is made for only immigrants and expats but as a person who generally just wants to get to know people from other countries and learn about their culture and language I can’t help but feel excluded from Homeis. I believe would be great for Americans who were born here and I suppose didn’t have the “immigration experience” but want to get to know people from around the world. In their community, I hope this makes sense. Thank you!!! It’s a great app but to my understanding not made for me.

I am trying to use Homeis, however, on the second registration screen, it is impossible to enter the “where you live now” city because it is behind the “next” button, and you can not move to next page until you write in where you currently live. I hope this not some intentional bug to force you to register via FB....

It’s like knowing what’s happening in the desi scene in America, finding whatever you need from the Indian community and I’ve made some great new friends. The chat feature is good too. Wish Homeis existed 9 years ago when I first moved!

this app is Homeis I’ve been waiting for as an expat in Nyc. Awesome directory, info, contacts and groups! You can find people of your culture in your neighborhood and it’s a great way to meet people offline. Love it.

I got excessive advertising about Homeis the whole week. Doesn’t give a preview of what Homeis does. Need to sign in first. I don’t mind signing in, but there is no way to see what data you collect, as your terms and conditions and privacy links are down. It’s against AppStore rules, if your privacy and terms and conditions links don’t work. Look it up.

Hello. I am definitely with the idea of having an immigrant community and allowing people to know each other. But Homeis has literally become a new Indian tinder. There are so many men who DM you every day. I have deleted messages and kept my profile as fairly simple as I can, but I received over 300 DM’s and this is just way too frustrating. I hope admins can look into this issue.

Unfortunately somehow this has become a platform for unwanted messages from random men. Within 2 days of activating it I had like 5 messages from people who I’ve never seen met or heard of. The typical “Hi...” “how r u”. I know I can block them but still makes the platform unattractive

It makes sense to consolidate the subcontinent but then just call it something generic like desi otherwise it’s weird repeatedly having Homeis talk about how I must feel having come from India when I didn’t?

I guess this is a idea where you start clustering ppl for coming from one nation or locality, which shouldn’t be the case and u need to think of doing it based on taste and remove the region thing in your questionaries.

No option to delete account and activity from Homeis is automatically posted to google. Very shady..

There’s no option to delete pic or profile if you don’t like app, so once you’re up there it’s been there. You can’t modify it.
