I have mutual likes with certain (supposed) women in the app, but none of the matches are being shown. As part of this, I am unable to send messages to any of those I have technically matched with, and I cannot even respond to messages I have been sent. If the point of this is to push people to purchase the premium version of the app, you might as well put a price on the app since it seems nothing can actually be done for free like with other dating apps. If I am ever able to connect with others for free, I will update my review. Until then, I will remain convinced that this app deserves one-star reviews by everyone and that all of the five-star reviews are therefore fake. In response to the developer’s response, I do not know how the developer can persist in being so dishonest. Even those who purchased the premium version have had issues with this app. Considering the facts I have gathered, it is clear that the positive reviews are fake, and I deleted the app and will never return to it due to my lack of an ability to trust the developer’s words. Fortunately, there are multiple other dating apps that do function properly and give people using them freely a chance to have success.

The first thing I noticed was how far superior the quality of the profiles were compared to Tinder. This is one of those slow moving apps, meaning you have to take your time and think about if you really want to try connecting with a person before selecting them. If you're looking for something that could lead to long-term, then that's definitely a positive aspect about this app in general. I got so sick of endlessly swiping right on guys who looked interesting on Tinder just to have them not respond or unmatch immediately. I'm still new to this and haven't met with anyone yet but so far I like it. I think it helps me to control myself too so that I take it slow and actually think about the person I'm spending beans on. The interface is easy to use and setting up a profile is extremely easy. It makes ignoring guys who refuse to fill out any information easier to avoid. The only thing is that if you are open to dating outside of your race, you're going to have to actually select those races or else you're going to be disappointed with your bagel options. This apps seems ideal for people with a busy lifestyle. Just don't forget to check everyday at noon!

I have tried several apps including Tinder, Bumble, OKCupid, Hinge, and the Inner Circle over the past few years. This year, after a break from dating, my friend recommend Siren. I decided to give it a try because the other apps were either geared towards hookups or the guys wouldn’t make the first move/hold a conversation. There is something about having a limited amount of “matches” and “bagels” that help keep the app intended for its true purpose: dating and not just swiping. I matched with one of my bagels two weeks after getting the app and while I ignored his first message, he reached out again a week later. The conversation was about to expire so he really had to step up his game to get my number. A couple weeks later and we were official. A lot of people around us were surprised at how well matched we were (including myself!). My friends know I’ve done the dating apps for a while so they always ask me for recommendations. I think everyone has an app that suits them but I tell them: if you want genuine connections and guys who aren’t just into the “swiping game”, then Siren would be the app for you.
