So, I’m a female that downloaded this game, as I am panromatic and demi- to a-sexual. This game advertises itself as a LGBT community, but I found it very unwelcoming. There is more to the community that gay men, and I know that it is called this app, but it also specifically says LGBT in its description. I would have liked more options than gay stereotypes.
Speaking of stereotypes, just about everything in this game made me cringe. The plots were romance cliches and the characters were all two dimensional caricatures of fetishized gay stereotypes. The strong silent type, the buff and boisterous gym dude, the quiet office minion sidekick. I felt like this game was a parody of what it could have been.
That’s not even getting into the gameplay. Let’s start with the fact that everything lagged, and I do mean EVERYTHING. The UI was unfriendly and unhelpful most of the time as well. And the gameplay itself was boring, unimaginative, and definitely not entertaining. Everything was down to luck, even if it seemed like you were guaranteed to win each level. Not to mention the there is no real point to having your own persona. You cannot interact with the characters beyond the ‘touch’ menu, in fact they don’t even know your character exists.
Overall, boring, offensive, and difficult to play, among many other complaints.
This game is fun. It’s a pleasant mix of fashion challenges and action. It can be pretty risqué, which I love as it comes really close to being a full on adult game. It’s fun but...
It is very clearly set up for those who pay to keep winning the bigger items in challenges. And it isn’t cleverly concealed or anything, it’s blatant. There are challenges every other week and you earn tokens to redeem prizes. You get 7 days to earn tokens by doing the fashion week challenges. If you buy or earn specific outfits, you also get tokens. And then, depending on the challenge, you get some starter tokens and then daily login tokens. Doing all these can get you to around 2000 tokens seems like a lot BUT the most desirable prizes are 4000+ tokens. To get there you HAVE to spend money as there are no other ways to earn tokens.
It also seems as if the game is on its last legs. The user photo gallery has not been updated in a while when it usually gets updated weekly. And other reward sets have remained the same since I started the game back when it initially launched. So for all of its fun, it is a sadly weighed down by other factors.
Played for about 2 weeks and so confused what’s the point? The “story” makes no sense, there is not actual game play when it come to combat it’s TOTALLY RANDOM, the tutorial made no sense and I’m still in process of trying to figure out what I’m suppose to do. Example- why the hell do I need to be fashionable to proceed the combat story??? The fashion part should just be removed or made into a optional thing. Who cares what one person wears if I don’t effect the story. The characters are flat, and just bland stereotypes not to mention does your actual character have a purpose in the story? Overall I would say the game has great....good....decent...ok some potential if the game didn’t try to do so much at once right from the start or have such a throw you to the wolves vibe then I could see rating more. And what’s with the load times recently. For the first week it was fine loads within seconds now it’s like 10 minutes just to start the game. Most likely gonna delete unless there is like major overhauls done.
To be fair, I didn’t really have a clue what kinda game this was. None of the many ads they put out described what it is, other than gay.
Combat in it doesn’t make much sense. There aren’t any risks when playing, seeing as you always win and it goes on autopilot. The dress up game is also very simple/easy to win. On a positive note, there are a lot of fun clothing options in this part of the game.
I’ve gotten through the first story and partway through the second one, and they’re not good. A lot of translation/formatting errors, which I can ignore, but the writing just isn’t good at all. The characters are forgettable and generic gay stereotypes. And sexual assault happens way more often as a “plot device” then it should, and isn’t taken seriously. It just feels.... gross.
The only really neat part of the game is how well done all the art is. But that’s not enough to keep the game downloaded to my phone.
So I got this to give it a shot because you don’t see a lot of gay games out there with this kind of set up. I tried to play it, and it won’t even get past the first loading bar showing up before it boots me out Gaydorado . The thing runs for like 45 seconds tops and that’s if you just installed it and are setting up the notifications through pop up windows.
I love the idea, and it seems like a less risky way to meet fellow gays without your face being up there, so as a trans guy this is an upside because I don’t have to explain my situation right out the door in order to have people not Lynch me for my face. I just wanted to try the game aspects and maybe make some internet pals but it won’t load.
Until it’s fixed I’ll just leave it here but I’ll post another review once I actually get to playing the game.
I wish I could actually play this game and leave a better review, but so far, all this game has caused me is frustration. I am able to get past the first loading screen, but as soon as I try to start to actually play the game, it starts to load, but freezes at 71% or, very rarely, 57%. I would close out the game and wait five minutes, and it’d still be there, wait anywhere past 10, and it loads all the way, gives me a glimpse of what I hope to see, but takes me back to the home screen, and I have to start all over. I hope that the developers fix this bug soon, cause I’d really love to play this! The art is so beautiful, and it’s music sounds so sweet! But I can’t actually play the game because of this issue.
Beautiful and fun app, but likely Asian-made, because it only caters to white people and Asians, apparently that’s all that matters (which, in all honesty, might be for the best, considering when “desi/brown/black” characters ever do show up in anime, for example, their depictions are more often than not racist as hell...) There’s a “black” option thrown in for “character customizing” but it’s clearly an afterthought with zero black hair options, and no medium brown “Latin” color skins. Just white, light-Asian, and dark. And of course ALL the men are white or Asian, I get Asian if this app (Latin-much?) is based in Asia, but then white??? Anyway, it’s mildly entertaining, if not a little confusing, but the art is absolutely gorgeous (but again, just white and Asian men.)
First the good; I love that this game is not pay to win. The concept is interesting. There is plenty of content to keep playing after your stamina is expended. Characters are semi-customizable meaning you choose between six avatars and then you can customize their clothes.
Then the bad; The game crashes in particular instances. The story lines are nonsensical, but that doesn’t ruin the game at all. Although there is a tutorial, when new features open up there is no explanation.
Overall, I like this game for now, but I am a game hopper.
Really enjoying the game so far. Installed it a few days ago and I’m already past lvl 30. Leveling is rather steady, not to fast but not to slow. Gonna need to grind into the later levels, but If you have the patience, you won’t need to spend cash on the gems for energy and can save them for outfits and fragments. Doesn’t seem incredibly P2W since the competitiveness of the game isn’t so hardcore. The stories, albeit rather poorly translated, are endearing and humorous. The combat system is the real issue for me. The AI will sometimes do some strange targeting things and you’re left to just hoping the enemies don’t kill off one of your dudes first. If it had a mechanic in place to allow you to target specific enemies first, that would help a bit. All in all, the games is fun if you have some free time to waste, and all the events and little side gigs add a lot to the overall feel of the game.
This is a very fun game and I love all the outfits the stories are ok but I think you should make more. I also think you should add some more clothes to buy and tailor because I get a lot of money sometimes and really want new outfits for my avatar. You should also make the bartender a buddy because honestly he is attractive I would love to see him as a buddy maybe a two star or one star would be best for him. You should consider giving the main character a voice also it would be cool to have the characters move more and actually go to the places where the dates take place. And maybe tap on curtain things to interact with it on a date. Lastly it would be cool to see the room and inter act with stuff in the main characters apartment.
It’s an addicting game, and quite enjoyable. However the touch option to fondle a buddy, is not reloading or having a reload timer. I can’t get past episode 1 like that. I know the game is fairly new and might have problems. So I’ll gladly give it time to improve and see what great things come from it. Honestly even though I can’t get past episode 1, or level up my character, and do the story I’m finding myself having plenty of fun with all the other features. It’s like they reward you for enjoying yourself. This is a great game, with great things to come. I hope that all the little bugs and glitches, the few that are there, work themselves out soon.
This is a cool little game. It’s nice to finally have a game geared to our community. The art is gorgeous and the game play is fast and entertaining. Highly recommend it and congratulations on being a pioneer in this area.
Just a couple of suggestions to the developers:
1) It would be nice to have more avatar options to accommodate different racial and ethnic options. (Some of us are Latino)
2) It would be great to get more avatar options to accommodate different ages and body types. (Some of us are older and bigger)
3) Would be great to be able to turn Facebook photos on and off when you don’t want other players to see your real face.
4) the translations on some portions of the game play need a lot of work.
5) Possibly include a portion of the “city” that lesbians or trans people can call their own. and have a club or park or chat where everyone can meet up and play together.
6) Teaming up to play with other players would be great.
7) A night time look / day time look to the city would be awesome.
Just some ideas...and thanks
This is an Otome game that I can properly play. Once you get past the confusing UI that is, however there is a rhythm to it. The game and characters themselves are well drawn, but again just every aspect of this game needs a little more refining.
It needs help with translations, story telling, character development, and a few other minor things.
Don’t let those things from stopping you to play, the artwork is sometime quirky, sometimes hot, but always pleasant to look at. The clothing system is fairly in depth and I like the fashion challenges. Leveling up is fairly easy albeit odd. There’s several ways it seems to level the characters but you’re given more than enough currency in game to do so!
The events could also use some more work, I’m not talking about the log in events but the egg crack event, as it’s not really explained too well, in fact none of it really is despite the tutorial. Again just comes down to refining.
I don’t mind the stereotypes too much because it gives me a slight giggle. But this game has no obvious malicious intent with them, so i let it slide.
All in all I rate this 4 stars because it’s kept my attention with prizes, artwork, and positive energy. The game just needs to be worked on more thoroughly and I’ll gladly change this to a 5 star rating.
P.S. to developers, it’s okay to have longer dialogues, I feel like they don’t last long enough and there’s never a true idea of what’s happening.
The game is amazing and the community it great. You do have your random people going on and asking/prompting sex; typical skezzy hook-up app tactics but its minimal at most. But for some strange reason after the last maintenance I have this FOREVER LOAD. When I want to check someone profile/character stats, after a arena fight and even when I login I get stuck with the loading screen. The only way around the last one is the lock and unlock my phone. For everything else I don’t get the arena results and I can’t check view basic stats on anything. So please from an addict of the game/app; PLEASE FIX THIS BUG!!!
Ps: yea I uninstalled and reinstalled and I have a iPhone 7.
I feel like that review from before was just wanting to be triggered for the sake of being triggered. The game play does lag a bit and is to be expected from a new game and the storyline is corny, and cute. I’ve played multiple games like this the only difference is that this one is with male characters which is a nice change giving I usually end up having to get my fix of these kinds of games from ones that over exploit the female figure instead of a male one. Over all I’m eager to see the progression of this game and I wish you all luck! (Also female here Incase people think my opinion would be different due to some gender thing)
I just got the game last night and I absolutely loved it. But sadly I tried playing it today but can’t seem to connect to any servers. I’ve tried to connect to them several times but it just says “Connection timed out”. I hope this gets fixed soon. 😢
EDIT: Thank you for fixing it! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
ANOTHER EDIT: The game keeps crashing every minute or so. It’s nearly impossible for me to play. Also it would probably be a good idea to add a bug report option to the game, unless I’ve completely missed where the option is.
This is a compelling game & I enjoy the use of adult situations however there is a problem I encounter most times when Im playing. When I initially begin to load the game, it will not complete the loading process and gets stuck at 71%, or at 99% and NOTHING I do works to resolve this issue. They really have some patch work to put in place, so when you start playing pray that this doesn't happen to you. Also dont suggest buying the in-game stuff as this will only serve to waste your money and sanity. Now that you’re briefed on the frustrations of the game, give it a try.
This game has been very fun. I have been playing for about three days now and the only issue I have would be the stamina recovery. I wish it would recover faster. I'm not sure how long it takes to recover one stamina point but the fact that it takes more than 5 minutes is a bit obscene. Only other problem I have with it is that the translations are sometimes messed up, but I see you guys are working on that. I love that this game gives lots of free diamonds to buy things with so it's not incredibly p2w. Thank you for making a great game and I hope to see more soon ^_^
I’ve played this game to level 60 and this is just my opinions.
Story 5/10
Story lacks an overall plot. It’s a series of different stories about cliche gay men living in City of this app. They’re barely related except for some characters.
Characters 8/10
A lot of different stereotypes about gay men. But I don’t see it as negative thing. Gives players what they like.
Gameplay 7/10
Not P2W as some people said. It’s ‘Pay for Progress’. Reason is you can earn up to 1k diamonds daily. Save up enough will give you a chance at hitting eggs. One tip for new players: don’t spend all your diamonds at bar and use them for hitting eggs.
Community 10/10
Love the people playing this game.
PVP 7/10
Different team combinations is intriguing. There’s no best team. You can choose hard hitting team that focuses on killing weak characters or choose AoE team that hits all. Teams based around healing is also OP.
In the end, it’s up to you what you consider fun but there’s more to this game than just PVP. You can choose to collect cool fashion or be the most sociable person on the server. What keeps me playing is I can get free diamonds daily and the rewards are sustainable enough that I still get to have fun and catch up to those who wants to support the game.
So I have been playing this game for what I would remember as a couple of months now. I tried to log in today and was abruptly stopped in my tracks with the new user log in. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting my account which I linked up to my Facebook account. Still nothing. Then when I went in to just try making my character again name is taken... well duh it is my name.
I have spent many hours on this game and within a flash it is all gone. I am hoping this is just a glitch in the newest update of the game but I still want my game back.
Edit: Problem has been solved within the same day. I appreciate how fast the developing team works to make the experience of the players as enjoyable as it can be. Thank you for solving the issue.
