I installed GTW , defined a new snippet to test out the feature and now GTW crashes as soon as I click on it. This new snippet used the default text and filename, nothing was modified.

i purchased GTW specifically because it's suppose to work with onedrive directly without the need to download the file. but i can't even sign in to onedrive. after entering my email adreess to sign in to onedrive and tapping "next" (presumably to enter my password), the sign in process crashes and brings me back to the "manage remotes" screen. just wasted my money.

i was able to link my google drive. but even there, the results were disappointing. i attempted to open a text file and it wouldn't even open that, throwing an error message.

Does not open any format but plain text. Why doesn’t it say so!?

This is close to being a very nice app, but there are a few problems making it virtually unusable for me.

1. Can’t adjust line-wrap column. This is fine for Markdown with no line breaks, but if you get Markdown already having line breaks at say, column 80, it looks terrible.

2. There are some GUI bugs where text or buttons will fall slightly off-screen on my iPad, or move on top of other GUI elements.

It’s worth noting GoCoEdit by the same developer doesn’t have these problems and is now my primary Markdown & text editor. It doesn’t have a nice simple view with text centered on the screen and wide margins the way this app does, but it’s far more usable.

OneDrive remote files sync does not work.

I just purchased and started using GTW, and am very pleased with it. I needed a way to work with .md files on Google Drive, and this app does it well so far.

Great app with good combination of features. Though a little pricy for a simple app, there aren’t others that provide this ability to simply open and view/edit text over the network. Besides, I love that there is no in app purchase or subscription or ads.

Needs dark mode.

Let’s me quickly edit files directly on remote drive, manually save them or exit them without saving if I want (other editors that I’ve tried, except GoCoEdit also by this dev, aren’t easy to manually save and all seem to auto save on exit with no option to disable). Thanks for fixing the problem with Google Drive.

So many years, lost in the file sync wilderness of iOS. So many Markdown editors, assuming the only cloud storage systems worth supporting are iCloud and Dropbox. So much frustration, trying in vain to make OneDrive work with apps like iA Writer and Pretext via the Files app. So many documents inexplicably duplicated. So much progress lost when Files fails to sync at all.

At last, I have stumbled upon this app, and it just works. My OneDrive folder is synced, my markdown files in tow, my edits instantly reflected across iPhone, iPad, and PC.

I am a simple man. I do not want for fancy things like direct Wordpress publishing, writing goals, or exhaustive outlines. All I ask is that when I write in Markdown on one device, that writing is available on my other devices. And to my astonishment, this app delivers. It makes my sole nitpicks with GTW—no apparent way to sort a folder by date modified, uninspiring fonts—seem incredibly minor.

The first markdown editor app I’ve found that actually plays very well with Google Drive natively in GTW . Great design, easy to use. Such a life-saver!

This is one of the few text editing apps that actually works with Google Drive and the developer is responsive to feedback. Refreshing.

Setup was a breeze. Started updating and creating notes within 5 minutes. Interface is clean and simple, not a lot of bells and whistles but GTW gets the job done.

Love that it both integrates with OneDrive and offers Orgmode syntax highlighting. Fits my use case perfectly.
