When reading through reviews this looks like an long existing issue for PackrTravelPackingList . If the feature doesn’t work it ought to be removed and colors or other types of labels used to quickly separate trips visually on the main screen. Most other options seem to work reliably. I do like the pre-loaded lists based upon activity. It’s this feature that drew me to this category of apps (otherwise a simple list in the notes app would work). For an upcoming family trip I’ll try out the sharing features. To see if this works as well as other list apps (for shopping we use Anylist)

I really liked UPackIt and thought this was similar…before I started using it. I would like to Edit a line item without having to delete it and add a retyped version. Haven’t figured out how. Are there instructions someplace? And then when editing items, I’m in a list view for my specific trip and when I try to delete an item for that trip, it asks if I want to delete it for all future trips. What? No, I just want to delete it for this one trip.

This is a great app for organizing for trips. I’m able to break down my packing lists into individual check off lists like camping, air travel, sundries etc…

The only problem I’ve encountered is that the items on my lists keep rearranging on their own. So if I, for example, organize clothes by type (dress shirts, running shirts, polos, then jeans, slacks, shorts, etc…) PackrTravelPackingList will, at random, mix up my list to where shirts are mixed within longs socks and dress pants and shoes—just scattered all over the place. It’s not only frustrating, but counterproductive as well.
*Note—I’ve reached out to them about this problem. Hopefully it’s fixed soon because I do, overall, like and want to keep PackrTravelPackingList.

Just starting to use this ‘app’ & realize it needs to be online to work. I understand some features like weather require this but it’d be nice for PackrTravelPackingList to work in airplane mode w/o an internet connection. Other travel apps I’ve used integrates travel info, packing lists & will work on & offline plus backup to iCloud. Multiple destination planning requires the $2 pro upgrade. Great looking, easy to use & add/edit lists but online requirement may be a problem.

I really like the ease of PackrTravelPackingList , the way you can select accommodations/activities etc to make your list. But I am finding it hard to work with the categories/activities that you have. There is no food list to use (which would go along with several of the accommodations including camping). I also need to pack for a child - clothes, toys, bedding etc and I'm ending up trying to mash up the adult and the baby to make it work. If I were to go premium could I add my own categories and have them be able to be used later in other lists? Is there a future thought to adding more categories and items? Thank you

I really like this, but when i go to make new categories and such, sometimes it can be a bit glitchy. More specifically when i go to create a category, it will add to my list, then if I decide to delete it I go back and the list is still there... i try to go into reselecting the categories and it wont be there anymore but i wont be able to delete it from my list anymore. It just gets stuck there. Im having to just delete the whole trip and start over whenever that happens because of it. I don't mind making my own lists and categories... in fact i prefer it but the process can be long and detailed and as I go along eventually PackrTravelPackingList just gets glitchy as i go back and forth so much.

Also i wish there were more icons for the categories. I couldnt really find a good icon for a makeup or beauty category... seems pretty limited.

I appreciate the bulk of PackrTravelPackingList. It works well as a travel checklist and looks clean. But I cannot for the life of me figure out what the notifications are for. As I have approached my trip, each day it has thrown up a number (badge) indicating some sort of notification is ready. I open PackrTravelPackingList and the item is no where to be found. It’s like a little attempt to just get you to open PackrTravelPackingList I guess. So I turned off the notifications. So much for a potentially useful feature.

The other thing I dislike is how this syncs. You have to email the other device so it “syncs”. There is no automated syncing.

5/3/21 Edit: I’m still using Packr and I’m still happy, however there’s one thing Packr does that I wish would change - Packr deletes old lists, so users have to redo any lists for trips that you go the same place and same time of year... and there’s no archive for those old trips. It’s a minor point, but it’s happened a couple times... I hate repeating work I’ve already done.

Original post: always have to take the time to make a list of what my minimum needs are for the weekend, take the chance I will omit something from my list and then I misplace the paper list. That won’t happen with Packr. It’s on my phone and accessible. I skip through what I don’t need, get what I need - and I’m on my way, confident and free of worry I have forgotten something. knowing. I have been using this packing app for quite a few trips. Love the fact I can customize-big bonus for owning the full app.

I purchased the premium app on my iPad & downloaded PackrTravelPackingList on my phone. Just couldn’t get my phone app to acknowledged that I had purchased it. Quick email to the creators & they responded quickly with an easy explanation of how to solve my problem. Thank you.

Now ready to work from either iPhone or iPad.

I use PackrTravelPackingList all the time! It’s user-friendly...it pretty much creates my lists for me. The weather updates within PackrTravelPackingList , so I don’t have to take the time to go look it up on my own. Everything I need is right there in PackrTravelPackingList ! I’m also able to share my lists with others. I can’t think of anything that PackrTravelPackingList lacks related to making a packing list for travel. I highly recommend this!!

While I believe this is a 5 Star app I also believe the developer should be called out for scamming marketing tactics. When you first go to setting in PackrTravelPackingList you’ll see it counting down 24 hours setting you can get the premium app for half off at $1.99.

However if you look the developer already sells a paid up front version of the premium app for $1.99 and it makes no mention of being half off for a limited time.

I’m a big list maker and PackrTravelPackingList is great. My only issue is that if I manually change the quantity of something it switches back to the suggested amount within a day or two. It would be amazing if there was an “access to laundry” option or “pack lightly” to limit the volume of your packing. I’d also love to be able to “assign a bag” even if it was just through color coding. All said even as is, PackrTravelPackingList is pretty near perfect.

Love PackrTravelPackingList! I used a previous app for packing and really liked it but it wasn’t available on iOS 10. I found this one and since it was free, I decided to try it. PackrTravelPackingList comes with a packing list already set up (I had to create one on previous app). You can edit the list and add items to it. You can organize it any way you want. PackrTravelPackingList also shows the current weather conditions and future forecasts for your travel destination. Very pleased with it! It’s a must have!

You can upload your trip with dates and location, then it tells you the weather and even things to see.
You are offered well-thought out options categorized lists of packing items.
These are quickly and simply customizable, can even be duplicated to next trip.

The whole app is very simple and intuitive. Highly recommended. Clearly the developer had customers in mind when creating PackrTravelPackingList. Thank you!

It’s so perfect! All you have to do is say where and when you’re going and your gender and it makes the most perfect and accurate checklist for you along with the weather for your place of travel at that time. It even gives you a reminder of when your plane is leaving and when you should leave if you’re driving. It’s so awesome. And if you don’t need something on the checklist or you think you need something else you can add and delete things. PackrTravelPackingList is perfect and I 100% recommend it!

I am probably one of the most disorganized people you’ve ever met. My friend always had to come over to help me pack because I could never figure out what to bring and always got distracted and ended up with 18 pairs of wool socks and no shirts for a 10-day beach trip. Enter Packr. It makes me a list without a lot of effort: I just tell it where and when I’m going and it does the rest! My friend has had a vacation from group packing and I show up places with things I need (mostly). Seriously the best.

I was looking for an organizer I could use on my phone. I was creating my packing list in excel and it was good but not always practical and sometimes I missed items. I initially tried the free version and found it easy to use and I like the weather report for the destination too. After my first trip I upgraded to the paid version. The initial packing items it’s comes with pretty complete but I like being able to customize my list including activities packing list. Wish list it would be nice to rearrange items on my list.

I first downloaded the free app, but since I had a multi-destination trip, I upgraded to the paid one. The feature that gives tips on things that I needed to check before going on vacation was quite handy. I liked the ability to modify the items and their numbers so I could keep track of what I had with me. I did not access PackrTravelPackingList much while I was on vacation, but I did use it for about a week before my trip to help me get organized without making a bunch of notes here and there.

I love PackrTravelPackingList, easy to use fairly easy to edit in the pro version. I would however agree with one of the other reviews. It would be nice for duplicate entries such as sunglasses, etc. to be checked off in multiple categories, this will enhance the flexibility and ease-of-use to the level. My workaround for the moment is to create a list of things I always take, essentials, which goes on every trip.

Another nice feature would be for lists for each family member contained in a single app. Just an idea.

I suggest the pro version, Customizable create your own lists etc.

Easy to Use & Best App to keep up with the stuff I am packing. I like all the details you can add to make it even more easier to keep up with what you need or don’t need. I have always been the person who packs so much stuff that it takes away so much time from my vacation. We would always be late getting to our destination bc we have to go back through my stuff packed & taken things out of my bags so it would fit in our vehicle which is a SUV. I always want to make sure I have everything I need & my family needs for any & every situation or event that may come up. Using PackrTravelPackingList has kept me from overpacking!! I love it!

I really would like to like PackrTravelPackingList. It is founded on a good concept and some of the functionality is fine. But there are so many glitches, mostly in editing capabilities. Type in an item and then try to edit it. You can’t. You have to delete the item and then re-enter it. Create an activity/list and then try to edit or delete it. You can’t. When I wrote the developer, he sent instructions that did not work. Really people—if you want a class app, then fix the basics. Seems like you threw an app out there and then walked away from it.

PackrTravelPackingList is amazing! Whether you use the free version or pay for it. I used the free version for over a year and finally upgraded because I can’t live without it. I travel a lot for work and it makes packing so quick and easy. I was the person that always forgot something for a trip but haven’t since I started using Packr. It’s the most used app on my phone.
