KWQC First Alert Weather Reviews

There are way too many ads and with the white cloud background under the white text, it is impossible to read. I will be using the Weather Channel app until you can get your act together and come up with a product that addresses these frustrating issues.

KWQCFirstAlertWeather is so delayed. It’ll claim there is a terrible storm coming even though it had already blown through. Not to mention the radar is update only every 10-15 minutes when it used to be even 3-5 minutes

Very seldomly does KWQCFirstAlertWeather work properly. It auto closes and hangs up as ads keep loading and videos auto play. It’s disappointing becuase this is my favorite local news station and I feel KWQCFirstAlertWeather doesn’t reflect the quality of news they cover and discuss on television.

I’ve used KWQCFirstAlertWeather for years and really liked it, but recently it started eating up all of my data, like more than ten times what it used to use. Hopefully this gets fixed!

Tired of pop-up adds and App updates that don’t work. Just noticed that the radar portion was recently changed with additions of numerous new confusing radar screen options and I can no longer activate past/future precipitation scroll. So, deleted KWQCFirstAlertWeather .

Overall KWQCFirstAlertWeather is good but the white cloud background makes it very challenging to see the white and yellow print. Poor choices.

Difficult to read white print on white clouds. Also not timely updates. Sometimes video report is several hours old. Works ok if only looking at same day.

Some very good features, too many ads and too many notifications.

The clouds in the background of the hourly/daily forcast make it impossible to read some of the hours/days. If you cannot fixthis simple request I will need to go elsewhere. Such a great site, except fot that major issue which is a minor fix. .

Cannot read white font on white background. Simple fix that was requested a year ago.

KWQCFirstAlertWeather was good until the update (feb. 2018). This new version is sending me alerts for things I do not need. The alert settings are off, but I still get them. Very annoying. I can live with the ads, I don’t mind them.

I moved about 800 miles south of the QC over a year ago, & still only use this. I just hate getting the alerts that only are relevant to the QC, but otherwise it tells me when lightning, or heavy precipitation is in my area :). Still love it overall!

My go-to weather app

I look at the different options featured on my weather app daily. Hourly, daily and I really enjoy checking the up to date radar map.

KWQCFirstAlertWeather does everything as advertised. I use it daily.

Only just downloaded it. Though it's interface is easy to use and fairly cool looking.

Would like road conditions as part of the updates

I’d love your weather reports etc but I have a question pertaining to people who r evacuated from Afghanistan where r all of them going to other than ones coming or belonging here in the USA thxs

KWQC has done an incredible amount of work in making this weather tool an easy and pleasant way to keep aware of the weather here in Iowa as well as around the country!!

This used to work fine but now the ad pop ups are out of control. The second I close a full screen ad it shows up again. Please fix this.

It doesn’t work right and it shuts down while you are using it and it’s slow loading. I may go to tv 8 weather. It was fine before the update. I give this update a 0

Just ridiculous how many times the same pop-up ad comes up when trying to read a special weather statement. Over and over! Deleting KWQCFirstAlertWeather, this is overkill.

Getting severe weather alert and can't read it due to pop up ads. Not helpful during dangerous weather

I liked using it. But all the pop up ads seemed to really slow it down. Took forever to load radar and short weather videos. I got rid of it.

With the most recent update. Just to load the current weather takes a good minute or more.

The temps aren’t readable with clouds in the background.
Don’t use KWQCFirstAlertWeather very often because of that.

The app is ok, I do have an issue with channel 6 forecasts which are often not even close to what happens. Yesterday was a first alert day! Not a drop of rain all day, no storms. Perhaps they should stop crying wolf.
