I love shopping at family dollar but the location I went to today always has the worst customer service ever the employees are always on their personal phones talking about their personal situations no one is ever working doing whatever they want. I went in and had some coupons which the worker said he applied to my purchases when I loaded up my car and looked at the receipt I noticed he did not so I went back in to talk to the guy and he had no clue what I was talking about there was another employee who was super nice trying to explain to him on how to do everything and he paid no mind and didn’t care and told the manager to come take a look the manager did not care he was standing to the side on his cell phone talking about personal business and just told the guy I had to go get everything from my car and return it because they couldn’t give me the discount from the coupons and walked away continuing his conversation on the phone I told them to return my items and I was no longer interested in giving them my business or money anymore. I work in retail as well and know we have to do anything it takes to resolve a issue and not be on personal calls during working hours especially as a manager. This is the worst experience I’ve had anywhere

AT FIRST, I had given FamilyDollar 5 stars. However, now I am noticing issues for example I scanned every arm and hammer liquid detergent the store had to see if it would match my coupon and it said t wasn’t compatible. I tried every size and scent and IT WOULD NOT WORK. I double checked everything looked through all fine print and it wouldn’t work. The store is often misleading about what it has on coupon sale. It says this week we could get gain dryer sheets for a final price of 95 cents with app coupon so I go and look and there is no coupon for that but it’s advertised in the flyer for this week. I may just have to go back to Walmart if this keeps up. I loved FamilyDollar but if I’m not saving money anymore there is no point. Sorry Family Dollar, DO BETTER PLEASE!!!!

OLD REVIEW This is a great app but prices in the store are so high it basically just makes the items the same prices as other stores. Sometimes they’re still more but it’s convenient if you don’t want to enter Walmart. I have never had any problems with FamilyDollar as far as it working. There is even a scan button to make sure a certain coupon will work in the store. Super easy to use FamilyDollar .

One day the store manager didn’t know how to work FamilyDollar in a iPhone. Lost the clipping and told me she couldn’t do anything about it. She stated the customers are never right. She stated she didn’t care who I called she wasn’t going to honor the mistake she made. So with that being said. I have to drive additional 25 mins to go to the store I have always went to since I was 4. I’m very disappointed in the store in Opelika Alabama. The manager name is Fre. She also called her “General Manager” Stacy (I think) that was locates in church to verify that customers are not right and family dollar or any can’t correct the issue. I’ve been in customer service since I were 15 and never have I told an customer their wrong. I was saddened at the training this Manager showed. She told me disrespectful remarks. Please look into this. I rated it an 2 for the customer service not FamilyDollar or store. Only for the management at the store.

I’m only giving 2 stars due to the fact that the digital coupon that I clipped on FamilyDollar was not given to me at full face value when I purchased the required quantity of the items listed on the coupon.
For example, I had $1 off coupon on canned cat food, but only received $.60 off when I checked out...which basically was just a free can of cat food. The cashier at the store could do nothing to correct it or take the additional amount off of my total because it was a digital coupon downloaded on FamilyDollar . Had I known that, I would have shopped somewhere else that the cat food was a lot cheaper by the can on a daily basis & saved more than just $.60 on the quantity that I purchased.
Not a reliable app & very inconsistent in communication between FamilyDollar & actual in store purchases when utilized for coupons!

The Family dollar in Adairsville Ga. is amazing! Those ladies are wonderful, they are always willing to go out of their way to help you find things and they ALWAYS have a kind word to say!!! That is why I will drive 35-40 min out of my way and drive past the family dollar in my own town to go there.

However, the family dollar in Cartersville has the rudest staff of people I have ever encountered. And the worst one is the person you hired to represent your company. Beth and I have had several encounters that have been less than civil!! She has accused me directly in front of other customers of try to return items that did not belong to your store, when in fact I had proof of my purchase, but I did grab the wrong item out of my car, I just needed to switch them and she would have seen my mistake and HERS! But instead she was yelling and making a seen and told me and my 5yr old child that we”better NEVER” come back in her store and she was calling ALL the stores around the area to warn them about me. This is not the only bad incident or encounter we have had with her, I have called and emailed your corporate more than once and NEVER once did I get a response. So now if there is anything I really want or need from your store I will drive to the Adairsville store.

Unlike many commenters FamilyDollar actually works for me. I don’t like the update and I feel the previous version was more user friendly. I don’t like that clipped coupons are no longer separated from new/unclipped coupons. I’ve discovered by scrolling that sometimes unclipped coupons are mixed with those that have already been clipped. If I assumed the new coupons were all at the top I would miss the coupons mixed in below. Thus far I haven’t found a way to show only unclipped coupons. The notifications for new ads and messages is a bit annoying; would rather be notified of new coupons and spins. Oh! And the spins... okay it looks pretty but is it really necessary to have all the animations when the spin happens and then you have to wait until the animations are complete to clip the coupon? The previous version was simple and user friendly and although I’m not a senior, I’m not sure this is senior friendly.

FamilyDollar has been ok so far however my local store needs to get it together. I went in today ready to spend my coupons I wanted to get some right guard deodorant but of course all they had we the 2 packs and even though FamilyDollar said it would work with my coupon the store employee wouldn’t let me use it because it would make the item free. I also wanted to get the bic razors the had them on sale for $2.50 I had a $3 off any 1 bic razor when the cashier ran it up it was coming up $3.50 so after about a 15 minute debate with this woman I was finally able to get my razors for an out of pocket cost of .18 she had to fix the price from $3.50 to $2.50 and she still made rude comments. I will not be going back to my local family dollar. If I find a good deal I may travel to another family dollar location but I think I will stick with Walgreens for the most part there coupons and employees are awesome and always make me feel welcomed.

Just left the Ayer Family Dollar Store and our visit was very disappointing. The whole store is in complete disarray with the wrong prices and discounts displayed. For an example there were 40% off bathroom products signs all throughout the store. They didn’t honor any of the price’s, stating that the bathroom products were not on sale. Also a HUGE slogan of theirs is $5 off $25 which was showing in the store along with FamilyDollar . They would not honor that discount either saying that they haven’t had that deal in a long time and it was only for about a week or so. I don’t believe that because it’s still on FamilyDollar . They won’t scan any barcodes on the Family Dollar App saying that’s what they’re told not to do so. Overall poor attitudes bad customer service and and very very poor customer service remedies. I love this chain of stores but I’m very disappointed in that particular location at the moment.

I love shopping at family dollar! Especially using the digital coupons , just about everything about FamilyDollar is perfect except for the fact it doesn’t tell you your item price when you scan an item! I throughly enjoy the item qualified or not feature, but adding prices to scan while we are in there for items that we just want an not couponing for would be AMAZING!! Honestly I would probably buy so much more if I didn’t have to wonder what prices were what when associates don’t always enjoy doing price checks, it’s a hassle all around and maybe even a “list” feature so I can select my items and know a round about price for them before coming in.. either way the suggested would definitely make FamilyDollar a 5star, but I still love fd with the three I gave!

The Family Dollar Store in Webster Springs ,WV is a fantastic place to shop. Vickie the store manager, is always so polite and is willing to help find whatever we may be looking for. It is a wonderful place to find great deals.
I wish you all would also put a Dollar Tree Store in Webster Springs also. We have to travel an hour to get to the closest one.
I would also like to give a BIG shoutout to the ladies at the Grafton,WV store. I was helped by Tammy and even though she was very busy she took the time to help us find what we wanted and treated us in a very Friendly manner,as if she really cared. Although I don’t get to Grafton often, I make it a point to stop in at the Dollar Tree, and shop. Thank you ladies for your friendly and very courteous service especially Tammy Eads. I wish all stores were as wonderful as this one

Family dollar is my store of choice especially in Tilton, Illinois. The store is always clean, stocked and employees are always alert when you enter the store. They greet you and ask if you need help. You never have to wait at the register for a cashier to check out . There are many items to choose from for gifts, holidays, household, etc. I have only found a few items they’ve stopped carrying and was disappointed but purchased them at Meijer. I’ve shopped at many different dollar stores but family dollar is always where I end up at the end of the day.

While I don’t have an issue with the in-store coupons, they work well. My issue is with the receipt that tells you to go to the website to have a chance to win a prize. I don’t believe you actually win a prize because putting in a difficult. First you don’t know which number is correct because I put in every number on the receipt but nothing works. When I spoke with a FD associate she was not able to give me any guidance, I tried to speak with management to no avail. The whole process was very frustrating to the point that I just gave up trying. I believe that is exactly the way Family Dollar designed it to work.

I just used FamilyDollar for the first time and it was easy enough. I got confused about how to add the coupons but I managed to figure it out. The one thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have an option to delete coupons if you decide not to use them. For example, I added a few coupons so that I could compare the prices and now I can’t delete the ones I decided not to use. Also, it would be great if they added a feature that we could scan the items ourselves and then scan the coupons and check out before we get to the registers. Just faster and more efficient in my opinion. Otherwise great app!!! I intend on utilizing more often.

I love FamilyDollar !! I’ve saved almost $200 by using FamilyDollar !! I’ve known some of the employees at my local store for years & everyone is always super friendly & helpful. I shop at my local store weekly. The electronic coupons have saved me so much that I’m able to buy some extra items now! I look forward to my weekly ad & coupons now. My local store always has plenty of on sale items in stock, they are the only store in my town that had toilet paper during the COVID-19 crisis! Thank you for always having much needed items in stock, professional & happy employees & a clean store💕it very much appreciated 🥰

I shop at 3 different Family Dollar stores, this determines which one I am closer to when I’m on the road. I love Shopping at Family Dollar for many reasons. Mainly because of the low competitive prices plus’s the stores are always maintained and well stocked. Very seldom are they ever sold out of what I’m looking for, and if by chance they are then they will have more on the very next truck shipment. Another big plus you are always graciously greeted when you walk in. Family Dollar always have the best workers hired that are very friendly, very knowledgeable of where all products are located and very helpful in every way. Your not just a number to them it’s like the old family stores when people cared more to make sure you had a wonderful time spending money in their stores. Maybe that’s why the Stores are called Family Dollar, great family oriented business and a bargain for the hard earned Dollar.

I’m a frequent shopper at FD and I love a good deal. FamilyDollar helps to clip my coupons and view the ad to come up with good deals for myself and my family members. I love that you can scan product in the store to make sure the coupon works for that product. My only suggestion is that you all consider a price checker in app because my deals are thrown off sometimes if something is on clearance and I don’t know because I couldn’t check the price and it wasn’t marked before making my purchase. A lot of stores have it so that you can scan the barcodes and see the price of each item which is super convenient because you kinda already know your total.

I have to say I love FD, I enjoy shopping there every month looking for new and exciting items. I love the clothing and being a senior I have a limited budget so getting clothing from there that is cute and up to date is important to me. I have gotten lamps, bedding, pictures along with laundry and personal items the freezer foods are great also, the manager is polite and very informative about the store, now I would like to see more clothing in all areas ladies men children (for school age kids). Again customer service is the best and I always enjoy shopping there, also it should be two employees on staff in the time we live in two people need to be present in store for safety. Again thanks for having this store around ( Telegraph and Joy Rd)

I love FamilyDollar and I do save but sometimes my coupons do not go through I always make sure I get the product it says and nothing more but then I get up to the register and my coupons don’t go through I feel that you need to fix that problem I live in Camp Wood I am always at the family dollar and I really truly love going there they always great me and always very polite I used to work with the company and loved working for the company but I had some health problems and had to leave so my comment is we really need to work on the coupon situationBecause a expect my savings when I go up to the register and find out I can’t even say because the coupon is down please put some effort in fixing that problem

I really like shopping at Family Dollar but almost every time I shop there, there’s a problem with getting all the discounts. For example, I went there 2 weeks ago and bought, toothpaste, candles, and multiple other things that were on sale, but when I got to the register, I was over charged. I had to stand there with this girl who had no clue to what she was doing, by then the line was almost to the back of the store. So, finally the supervisor came and did whatever for me To supposedly get my discounts. Then when I got home, I was charged $2.50 for $1.00 toothpaste, over charged $2.00 for “2 for $5” candles and some other stuff too. All that said, make sure you check your app before you leave because they’re making a killing off over charging us. Family Dollar! Do Better!

I have to admit, I always was skeptical on shopping at the FD store, for fear of items being very cheap quality for the price you were paying. Well, let me put your minds at ease.....they carry a lot more brands and a lot more supplies than thev”other” stores and their brands are very good indeed, also!! I was pleasantly surprised. The way they have you log into your Smart phones to use their coupons is a pretty clever idea, and saves you a ton of money! The lady at the cashier set mine up for me as I was checking out, so I'm ready to save already about $8-$10 and I'm not gotten thru all the on line coupons yet❗️ How about that❗️ Have I convinced you to at least try them at least once😁 I think you will be like I was.... Very happy I walked through the doors of Our Family Dollar.....Thank you Family Dollar for making a store for thebudget minded economy to shop and get good quality items without breaking the piggy bank😍

I do like FamilyDollar, it’s easy to use and to match up coupons to the products they will apply to. The only disappointment is in-store pricing. Until you are in the store looking at the listed price there is no way to find the price of an item. Not even on the Family Dollar website can you see the price of an item unless it is listed on the ad. This has prevented me from going to this store more often and using the $5 off $25 coupon. It would be much more beneficial to see the price and plan my shopping trips ahead of time. Having to wonder around the store and hope the prices are correct at the register makes FamilyDollar only useful to see if coupons are available. It would be great if I could price match to other stores before venturing out on my shopping trips.

I want to be clear that I’m rating FamilyDollar and not the store. I love the store and the employees at the FD where I shop. I like FamilyDollar . The digital coupons are a great way to save money. The in store scanner is a great way to make sure you are getting the correct product.
What I don’t like... the in store scanner does not show price so I don’t always know what something will cost. That would be a huge improvement
I’d also love to see a function to get price information when I’m not in the store. I’m on a budget as most people are and this goes a long way to help plan a shopping trip. It also could tip the scales if I’m torn between buying an item at Family Dollar or a competitor.

I absolutely love FamilyDollar. And I love family dollar. I have a big family so I save money on a lot of different things from baby items, to household cleaning supplies to even cute little gifts... The little spin slot machine thing is pretty cool and a nice touch. The scanner is a nice touch.

Now... the only thing I don’t like is the search bar. Can you guys please make it more user friendly? Like, if I want deodorant or toilet paper... why can’t I just type “toilet paper” or “deodorant” and all the relevant coupons pop up. I don’t like that you have to type in the BRAND NAME. I’m a mom on a budget, a lot of times I don’t focus on brand names, I just want the deal! I feel like sometimes I miss out of a lot of good coupons because I can’t search FamilyDollar for the actual product name instead of brand name. Plus who has time to search through all of your great coupons anyway. I feel like with that change, I’d be able to shop more efficiently. Until then, I’ll keep using the scanner feature.

I love the Family Dollar in Whitman Ma. The manager Thelma is amazing ( I wasn’t sure how to spell her name) regardless of spelling she’s always there to help you. Not once have I gone in and she’s never not smiled said hello always asks if I need help. Even when she is slammed with inventory and customers is always pleasant and sooooo helpful!!!! For a while there were a couple of bad/rude employees and I brought to her attention and she could not apologize enough and I wasn’t looking for apology I just to make her
aware. Needless to say those employees are not there any more. Family Dollar is VERY LUCKY TO HAVE A MANAGER OF HER CALIBER!!! She’s the reason I continue to shop there and gave 5 stars.

This is the first Family Dollar that I went to and now it’s my 1st to go to store for my laundry and other good deals and the digital coupons. You get a bargain when coupon here. Customers service Lisa Armbruster went out of her way to check in the back for some tide and gain that was not the shelf due to the sale price, well she bring out this whole cart ready for stock and start going through the cart finding what I need. If it was Walmart I wouldn’t have got the same service. Friendly service love this store!
