I really wanted to like this. I bought the ABM200 and was ready to go. The home page of CPSLink looked clean, it then it just doesn’t work. The tool is going to get sent back since the only way to use it is with an app that doesn’t even work.
I have an Abm-200. It connected great to my old iPhone. Since I have gotten a new iPhone and CPSLink has changed and updated it will not connect to my phone. I have had the product for about a year and have only been able to use it for about 2 months. I am not very happy with these products!
Original review: It used to work. Now I can barely get the ABM “easy” hood to connect and switching between low/regular and supply/return or exhaust is buggy at best. Really has gotten a mind of its own. Fix this.
Updated review: Now it won’t even open. I’ve reinstalled CPSLink and rebooted my phone (IPhone XS). Made me look very unprofessional and cost me money today by not being able to perform test and balance. I’m not happy. CPS: FIX YOUR PRODUCT OR GET OUT OF THE GAME.
CPSLink was very useful for me at first. Each time I opened it, it worked quickly, and efficiently. Now when I try to open CPSLink , it closes immediately. I have even deleted it and re-downloaded but it does the same thing.
I attempted to read it directly to the developer but have had no luck. Would love for this to work again, because my tool is currently useless without it.
testing with ab100 plug in anemometer. all the features are there but their programming staff or company they hired is in over their heads. none of the drop downs can be selected. you must unplug the anemometer and reply to take a new reading. very bad i got the meter for free from my company but it's unusable. I can get FPM somewhat accurately most times and have an excel spreadsheet to auto perform cam calcs but i can program better in javascript honestly this is bad.
So far, not a good look. Arrived at a job. Got everything set up. Tried connecting to the application and nothing is happening. Reset phone, turned off and on Bluetooth and nothing.
Looks like we will have to return this product and get something else since this has not worked for us today.
This ABM-200 reads all the temperatures and humidity readings but won’t capture any CFM. I don’t understand how this hasn’t been shared better how it isn’t helping us in the field since it doesn’t work. Now I have to explain to my customer that I can’t perform any tests to balance the air in their office. Thanks for nothing CPS.
does not work with iPhone does not work with iPad it says that it’s compatible with the latest iOS it’s not call the manufacture they are absolutely of no help no support.
our company bought 60 of them and not one of them work. we tried it on 11 iPads and 13 iPhones of different types styles years and brands. The software does not work the manufacture told us they don’t know what’s wrong. they also told us that someday there will be a solution to the problem that they’re having with everyone I don’t recommend this product I don’t recommend the company I don’t recommend the support
CPS products are cheaply made and are useless.
I can not get the data logging to work and when I emailed CPS Michael Molinar just sent me the pdf file, and when I said that did not work I never heard from them again. Poor customer service so stay away from all of their products. I filed a complaint with the BBB, but they probably won’t care about that either.
This product has worked great in the past. Leary about being reliant on an app and now the nightmare has occurred. App began crashing as soon as I’d open. Updated phone hoping that would fix it but it just continues crash and won’t do anything. A shame since I use this product daily and have recommended it to many techs.
Calling the Easy Hood airflow capture hood a professional tool is a joke . Even before CPSLink stopped launching (iOS) it was buggy and inconsistent . 2 calls to the CPS service department we’re not returned. To not keep CPSLink up to date is inexcusable . Don’t buy . It’s a $400 piece of plastic now . Tru tech should not carry this and should be more diligent
The tool is useless without the application. The application doesn’t work anymore for some reason. They didnt even have the curtesy to tell their existing customers there either is or will be an issue with the application. Kind of unprofessional to take someone’s hard earned money and in return give them junk
Just bought the ABM-200 hood, tried setting up a test customer file but the keyboard won’t close after I enter all the info. The green check mark in lower right corner isn’t accessible. Please fix ASAP
What happen to the AAB app??? It was much easier to use and it actually worked. Keyboard won’t close after input. Everything is cramped up at the top of the screen. Reader works for 2 seconds then displays 0 then reads again and measurements vary very drastically. Please fix.
App worked great on previous iOS software. Newest updated iOS software CPSLink crashes/closes immediately upon opening it. Need the bugs fixed ASAP. Using an iPad to do the testing is a PIA
Works great and does every thing it claims to do for my iPhone no problem
About two weeks ago I got the flow hood and I got CPSLink downloaded opened and I got the Bluetooth to connect no problem. But when it came time to hit the “start” buttion to begin using the flow hood, nothing would happen. I was about to return it today when an app update came out and I gave it one more try. It now works as expected. Tech support never called back after being placed on the call back list, hopefully will never have a reason to talk to them.
While at first the new replacement app for the AAB products was missing some features, it has come a long way! Very please with the rapid support from the customer support team as well.
CPS apologizes to each and everyone of our customers for the failure of CPSLink in the last 30 days. This was due to the CPS app crashing because of the new Apple 12.2 ISO update. CPSLink has been revised to the new version and it is currently working very well with all of our tools that require CPSLink .
CPSLink works well on my iPhone XS. I think the issue two years ago was temporary.
