I am assuming that there was an update to this app because before, my photos from my camera roll would load into the app and then I could choose which item I was to edit in app. Now, the photos that were already uploaded can only be used and I can’t use any new media to upload in the app and that’s really inconvenient. You now have to pay a monthly or yearly subscription to save your edits or post them to your SM. Look, I’m not paying for a subscription to save a gif or any type of media edits from an app when there are other free apps that allow users to create gifs, boomerangs, and other media edits.
The developer sent out an email on the app wondering why he is receiving “1-star ratings.” Maybe you should take a look at the ratings. Updating this app and requiring users to “subscribe” in order to save or upload to their social media might be something to consider.

I’ve been using this app for quite a few years now and I recommend this ap I enjoy it it reminds me of pictures I made for instance today I was fondly reminded of a picture I made 6 years ago today of my dog that passed 3 years ago (thanks for that memory it was so sweet) yes the app had made some changes over the years I wasn’t sure I liked I thought it was better in the beginning but you know change is good weather you like it or not l still enjoy this app and use it often I haven’t removed it yet & I haven’t found anything else I like better that does what they do so as far as I’m concerned 4stars was a 5 star app years ago but they made some changes I wasn’t on board with

I take time selecting photos, I add them, and as long as I don’t select high definition GIFs or videos, everything is fine. But when I do select high definition, the app shuts down (without warning) and I have to start over re-selecting and adding my photos, but not with high definition. Also, if you select too many photos to add, the app shuts down whether you choose to create regular or high definition GIFs and videos. There should be a way the app stops allowing you to add photos, instead of shutting down and making you have to reload the photos again. Very frustrating and time consuming! Otherwise, the app does make great GIFs and videos, when it doesn’t shut down without warning.
