I am assuming that there was an update to this app because before, my photos from my camera roll would load into the app and then I could choose which item I was to edit in app. Now, the photos that were already uploaded can only be used and I can’t use any new media to upload in the app and that’s really inconvenient. You now have to pay a monthly or yearly subscription to save your edits or post them to your SM. Look, I’m not paying for a subscription to save a gif or any type of media edits from an app when there are other free apps that allow users to create gifs, boomerangs, and other media edits.

The developer sent out an email on the app wondering why he is receiving “1-star ratings.” Maybe you should take a look at the ratings. Updating this app and requiring users to “subscribe” in order to save or upload to their social media might be something to consider.

I will start my review by stating that I personally don’t spend my money on apps or download them for free unless I think it has some kind of personal value. What do I mean when I say “personal value”? I am referring to the satisfaction one may feel when an app is either serving its purpose or living up to its advertised capabilities, or both. I saw the app and read its description and decided to see if it was any good. After using the free version for roughly 2 weeks I felt that the full version would be worth the money. I enjoy having the ability to stitch still photos together to form a gif-like motion picture of what would otherwise be nothing but a number of lifeless stills. What’s even more appealing is a feature that automatically turns your Live Photo’s into small bursts of choppy abstract films. Great for family events and even planned creative gifs. Download it and enjoy as I have!

This app is so much fun to use and it is so unique. I started by just playing around with it for fun and wound up upgrading. I recently just posted one of my creations to my Facebook profile and was inundated with friends asking me, “how did you do that? “
It is a little bit hard to figure out, but I am by no means a technical person, so if I could figure it out, most people could. One tip, however, when you are uploading your photo or photos, I think it is better to first edit the picture and clean it up the very best you can before uploading it to Momento. By this, I mean that you should apply all the airbrushing tools you have available, because if you don’t, this app will pick up all the imperfections that you may not even be able to see and they will show up.
Honestly, you just have to play around with it, but once you figure it out, it’s a lot of fun.
