Best app...easy to use and read

Love AviationWeatherRoutePlanner...it’s accurate. Easy to use and easy to read. Based on the color scheme ...not overloaded with information it makes it easier to use and navigate. I makes looking along your route of flight a lot more realistically and paints a picture for you. I use it along with my other apps to help with my flight planning.

Design

I think, the design help a lot to read and find the most relevant information, even on a smart phone screen. The runway is also easy to understand on the graphics.

Deceptive

The developers lead you to believe that you can receive your en route weather but a total fabrication. You do get the en route airport weather but there are apps that can do this for a lot less than $10. Also they advertised that you can input waypoints of your route but also a lie. I tried to contact support but no reply.
You can get an app that can do whatever AviationWeatherRoutePlanner does for much, much less. KEEP AWAY!

PRO version

This is a very useful app, at least for me, but the free version does not let users the gain enough experience before purchase. But believe me, it's worth a few dollars.

So far, so good

I'm an airline pilot and just started using AviationWeatherRoutePlanner as an SA builder on my way to the airport. It provides basic weather info in an easy to read format and I love the ability to save routes.

The only thing that needs improvement is the wind direction arrow. It points 180 degrees out from the wind direction. This feature was likely designed by a programmer (i.e. Someone unfamiliar with how we read winds in the aviation community) and not a pilot. It doesn't make a big difference because wind direction is shown next to the arrow in degrees. BUT if they really wanted to score style points, they'd flip the wind arrow to show the direction FROM which the wind is blowing (pilot weather) instead of the direction IN which it is blowing (non-pilot weather.) Small thing, but style points!

I appreciate your effort

Guys, you worked a lot to improve it. I used it in 2015 first, but it has developed a lot. Your effort worth a 5 star review :)

Where to or where from

Not enough small field airports. I fly an experimental an many of the fields I use don’t exist in this database.

Was great, but now??

Was 5 stars, use it all the time. Been working great for a year now, but as of lately it opens but will not get current data.

Demo version is worthless

I used up all five free airports before even using it for a real flight. Nothing special from what I can see.

No Notam / Cannot download Notam

There is no Notam available to download? Seriously I paid too much just to found out that AviationWeatherRoutePlanner is exactly the same as “EASY AVIATION WEATHER” app which is cost half ($5). I want my NOTAM AVAILABLE!!!

Great App but crashes to Desktop

Hi,

I fly an ERJ-175 professionally. AviationWeatherRoutePlanner is GREAT! Only problem is crashes after several clicks on the airplane to move along the route. This may be because of my IOS version of 9.3.

Works as advertised and even gathers weather info for overseas airfields. I particularly like that it allows the recovery of data along your route of flight and not just at airport of departure and arrival. It also stores this info so it is retrievable during the flight when you may not be able to access the internet.

It would be a nice option to be able to drag the course line to resemble your actual flight path as opposed to the straight line drawn by the program. Either this or allow your actual route, including actual waypoints to be entered. This would require the use of a database and would make the program larger so simply allowing the drag and drop of the course line would be most cost effective.

I would rate AviationWeatherRoutePlanner a 5 right now as it is if it did not repeatedly crash, but again, this may be due to my IOS version of 9.3. It offers the most features in one app. Keep up the fantastic work.

Thank you,
JazzyJazz

Slow

AviationWeatherRoutePlanner some times slow and some airports are missing but the layout is nice

Three Letter ID - Failure / Keyboard - Failure

When one types “ATL” for Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson airport, the user is unable to select the desired airfield, from the list of airfields that are given, because the keyboard is in the way.

This highlights another issue with many similar applications - the inability to receive three letters and logically deduce the appropriate airport in order. For example, if the user searches “FCO” the first airport should be Rome, or “ATL” should yield Atlanta.

Why use the three letter ID vice the standard four letter ID? Well, many times one doesn’t know the four letter ID for international flights and the user is referencing the three letter airline code.

Demo version, use only once

Unless I missed something, this "free" version works only once, then you must buy paid version.
This is a one time use demo only.
Looks promising, but not enough to buy so soon.

Not really useful if a pilot

The pressure is in the wrong units, should be inHg, visability in km?
The metar, taf is side by side, should have metar first follow by forecast.
The route is displayed in google maps, not a aero chart.
Runway display confusing, display unit of knots?
