Tried for relative...
Wanted to see if this was a viable solution before my relative needs a full on hearing aid. It was not a very good experience and would drive me crazy I think. I tried playing with the “UI”. There is none basically. It’s just random sliders. EQ I guess on the top? On the bottom I found L/R balance. Point is that my use case... well there’s written instructions for the television remote, ya know? Hunting in the dark for settings isn’t fun for me either. I have two stars because I only tried with AirPod Pro and another Bluetooth headset. Maybe wired works better, but that’s not feasible on iPhone anymore, literally by design. Also, I’m looking for a solution without wires, if able without going to the aforementioned hearing aid.

Do not buy!
I wanted to use this app kind of as a monitor for theater. I was going to put my phone where it would be able to pick up what was going on an use my AirPods to listen from outside however, the app made tons of extra noise that wasn’t there in the first place and the sliders were of no use. If you need to cancel your subscription go to the Apple store and go to your account, once you are there you should be able to find your subscriptions and then cancel.

Horrible app. Does not work at all. The app will not even start, I tap on the app icon, it opens for a moment then it shuts down, I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled at least 5 tiMes with no luck. To top it all off I was charged $127+ for a year subscription and I can’t even use the app nor will anyone from the development team respond to my numerous emails. Nothing but shady people taking others money. If I could give them 0 stars I surely would.
