Using for Eight Months now

After eight months of usage this “Heart Watch” has gone through some developmental changes for certain. A few months ago the reading for blood pressure were so far off it was ridiculous. Then it just showed a message that said it could no longer read any blood pressure. I stopped using for a few weeks and stuck it in a drawer. I decided to pull it out, charge it and do some troubleshooting about a month ago and noticed it had a new orientation. I did some tests and the heart rate, blood pressure, sleep and fitness functions appeared to be functional once again. I started wearing the watch again. I do like that the heart monitor randomly runs and collects data throughout the day. Question is ? Why can’t the Blood Pressure monitor also do that ? I have to stop what I’m doing and run the test for the BP to get data. I don’t always have time or remember to do this.
I realize this is a free app but I’d be willing to spend a few bucks for the software developers to add a few “bells and whistles” to this program like the “big “A” has on their products.
Keep chipping away at it developers, you have a lot of potential for a great product here.

Nice But

I recently received my watch. I like the watch, but HBand needs some work. While the graphical interface in HBand looks good, there are a few glaring flaws. Some of the data sets are in Mandarin. Generally speaking, if you market a product in the US, the data displayed in the companion app needs to be in English. Feed back that is in Mandain, for most people in this market, is no different than gibberish. The sleep data for a day is not cumulative: it records a single event. This is a big flaw- it makes the watch worthless for this function. Many people, more than half, wake up in the middle of the night on a routine basis. The sleep function NEEDS to be cumlative for all sleep periods in a day. This needs to be fixed. Also a big issue: much of the screen text in HBand is very tiny, so even with 20/20 vision you need a magnifying glass to read it; HBand does not allow you to you zoom-in to see it better. Like the text that is in Mandarin, text that is too small to read is basically useless. I expect many products to have poor instructions for use- this year ne is no different- no worries there- once you poke the buttons enough you’ll get the basic idea of what the main button does...the other two buttons, who knows- they seem to be for looks only. This watch us cloose to being a great product, at this time it is not one mainly because of HBand .

BP and HR monitoring

I was a RN for over 35 years, so BP (blood pressure) and HR (heart rate) monitoring is very important to me. I bought this device for my husband, he recently had heart surgery, so it is important that he monitor his HR and BP. I like this device for the BP & HR monitoring capabilities. I do wish that HBand would share data from HBand to another. The monitor display is very quick to shut off, sometimes, I need a little more time to write the readings down. Otherwise, this device is very good. The BP and HR readings are as accurate as can be. I checked my husband’s readings against manual readings, they were only slightly off. Nurses are trained to take manual BP to check accuracy of automated systems. If the readings are within 20 millimeters of mercury, which is how blood pressure is read, is considered accurate. HR readings are also within acceptable rates.
This tracker is not very accurate for sleep monitoring. I am not sure how it is supposed to track that, so I am not sure how to check any of the sleep readings. So I would not suggest using this reading. Everything else appears accurate.
I liked this device so much, that I ended up buying one for myself and my mother. My sister is now going to buy one for herself.

Works better on my iPad.

I’ve had a smart watch for a year now. It took a few trys to get a smart watch that worked well. I found one I really love about eight months ago. It worked fairly well for quite a while, then it simply would not stayed paired! And getting it paired again was very difficult, and I never knew how long it would stay paired!! I finally was fed up with it! So, couple of weeks ago, I deleted H Band from my iPhone. I tried a new watch with a different watch. I didn’t like that new watch very much, too heavy, the sleep function was. It as good, etc. I picked up my much loved "old" watch and then downloaded the H Band app to my iPad. It works!!!! It stayed paired! If I am separated from my iPad , it will disconnect, but we I’m back, close to the iPad, it just immediately and smoothly pairs again!! I couldn’t be happier!! This doesn’t really make sense to me! But I’m so happy! Can you explain why this is better on my iPad?? Meanwhile, I just LOVE it now!! My H Band app is the 10.2.0 version!
THANK YOU,! Now I just hope and pray this watch "keeps on ticking", because it has been discontinued.

Not accurate

I will say this. For a cheap product I enjoy it so I won’t give so few stars. In the manual it says HBand can monitor the female menstrual cycle. The sleep app is way off. I was at a bar one night and it said I went to sleep at the time I was at the bar. When it says, I’m sleep I’m up. I wake up several times through the night and it’ll say I didn’t wake up any. I really wanted to track my sleep since I suffer from insomnia.

When I wake up, i go to the bathroom and from that time, it’ll calculate me having walked over 200 steps. My bathroom isn’t that far from my bed, considering it’s in my room. But I do like the alerts for the phone calls I receive. I don’t keep my phone on me at all so being able to see who’s calling before I get to my phone. Other than that, it’s cheap so I didn’t expect 100% accurate calculations. So I’ll stick with it until I decide whether or not I’m gonna buy an expensive one. Although, I’ve heard those aren’t accurate either

Need a lot of work!

The developer needs to work out the bugs in HBand. I wish there was something that worked in its place a “different more accurate app” This thing doesn’t even match what my sleep time it says 8.6 hours on my band but only shows 55 mins on my band. I’ve been told that it only measures certain times but that not true. For instance I went to bed at 10:45pm and woke up at 6:00am it showed the exact time on my band and on HBand. This morning it showed I only got 55 mins sleep so it showed something totally different. The first thing I do is sync my band first thing in the morning. But It has nothing to do with time zone, what time you go to bed because it has worked when I went to bed at 6:30 one night I didn’t feel well I slept over 10 hours and it registered the entire time. It has to be something I’m not aware of about how the sleep app works or how to activate it. I was told it can’t be controlled by the band or HBand . So I’m going to go through some other apps and do a lot of research today and see if I can find another app that this band will work with. Because it is really screwing up my health log!
PLEASE FIX THE SLEEP FUNCTION ON YOUR APP!!

Needs some work.

I like the device. I like HBand . The measurements seem to be fairly accurate. But the translation from Chinese to English is at best, juvenile. Everything is in English but with some of the translations, I have no idea what it’s supposed to mean. In one section it says I think “Wrist test.” What is this? Other than this I like it. But when I use run mode on the device and the gps run tracking on HBand , the kcals burned is different. Also, I know I walk 1.87 miles but due to arm movement the device says I’ve gone two miles. Small issues that can be overcome. And no it doesn’t work with MyFitnessPal. But it does work with Apple health. However, the device does measure blood pressure but Apple health does not pick it up. It does log sleep tracking. This is my first fitness band and I’m pleased but the translation issue is making look for another.

Half satisfied with the watch; don’t care about the app.

I knew that the watch would be junk when I bought it because it was so cheap. I just wanted a watch face that would tell me the time, date and day of the week. Only the fitness watches display all of that. The watch displays nothing until you tap it or sometimes when you twist your wrist. You never know which face will appear when you tap it. The displays vary from strange to ugly. I have not been able to find a way to download or install a more attractive face.
I like being alerted and seeing a part of any text message incoming.
Mostly I like the magnetic wrist strap for it’s easy on/off feature.
So I didn’t waste a lot of money on this experiment.

Good

I have really been enjoying this and found out that if you hold down on the button it actually stays on longer....

Good quality especially for the “water resistant” part I accidentally sat in my hot tub and forgot I had it on for about a minute or two! I was so worried I had broken it but when I found out it was fine I was really impressed...

It can’t take calls and doesn’t alert you when you get a text like most super fancy watch wear. It does tell you when someone calls you though and the number shows up when it vibrates. I like how it does not beep when telling you something but only silently vibrates so that you can only feel it and no one notices. Overall I’d tell you it’s a great buy and mostly accurate...

Sleep Tracking is way off

I like the watch so far, but my only concern is how inaccurate the sleep data is. I have a hard time to get a good night sleep and the first night with this watch I ended up sleeping eight hours straight…What? I wish. I haven’t slept eight straight hours without waking up since I was a teenager. I usually wake 4-5 times a night, but for some odd reason this the watch omitted all the times I woke up and said that I had an excellent sleep night. Since I also had my Fitbit on my other wrist and sleep tracking on the Fitbit is quite accurate I was actually awake for 1 hour and my total sleep was less than 7 hours. If the developer of HBand can fix the sleep tracking issue the watch will be great.

English Editor needed

I have had my h band for one day. I lime the look of it, but other than that its just ok. First and foremost: hire an English speaking person, not someone who just learned but someone who knows grammar and syntax. I cannot understand much of what is written. Put an icon meaning section in directions. I don’t understand some of the icons. I love sleep function!
Most importantly make touch screen more usable! Mine goes on to show time goes to the person resting and turns off, on occasion I can get it to cycle all the way through, I don’t know what they all mean but occasionally I can see them all , mostly I go to my phone to see whats up. Needs work but the idea is good!

By

Hit or miss

I bought this band because it has great features and is inexpensive. I love that it vibrates and lets me know when I have an incoming text or call, I like how the face of it looks (the wrist band could certainly be better though) and I like how easy it is to cycle through stats. However, the activity band is pointless when HBand is so hit or miss. Sometimes the sleep feature will say I slept 4 hours when I actually slept 6 or 7. I’ve tried numerous things; closing and reopening HBand , re-syncing the band and app, turning the power to the band off etc. Sometimes it’ll work, sometimes not. Also, I have a BP cuff and sometimes the band and it are close on heart rate and BP, other times it’s not. I just wish it wasn’t so hit or miss, because I’m in love with the concept.

Very disappointed

I bought this smart watch because I desperately needed all the possible alarms and the countdown timer for a very specific medication regimen. The countdown alarm vibrates 3 times and shuts off so if I happen to fall asleep I do not feel the alarm because it is so weak. I need to be able to adjust the strength of the alarm and I need to be able to turn off the alarm instead of it shutting off after 3 vibrations. It would also be nice to know what each of the settings do so a real instruction guide would be useful. It would also be nice to be able to pick which apps are displayed and what the display looks like. I would also love to know the other apps that can be attached to HBand and watch but you apparently think it’s funny to open other apps then not list what’s available.

Real easy to use, wondering about an updated feature

So far this works great, I’m wondering if an added alert can be made to alert for low heart beat . It monitors the hide level you set but my problem is bradycardia or low heart beat per minute. I would very much appreciate an alert setting for low BPM . During sleep mine drops into the 40’s an alert to wake me before it stops completely might be nice. If an update is possible please. Thank you . Oh and for the person trying to write the info down , screen shot the info you need then you can copy or send.

No good for sleep monitoring

I’ve been using the tracker for a couple weeks and it’s pretty good. It tracks steps well and I like the np and hr option. Sleep monitoring is where it lacks. I work nights and my sleep tends to be in 2 or 3 long naps. Unfortunately the tracker only notes the first. It does not track any sleep after that. For instance today I slept til 10:15am and got up for a few minutes before going back to sleep until 1:45pm. The tracker only shows I slept until 10:15. Tracking my sleep is important to me and I haven’t decided if I’m going to stick with it or go back to my Fitbit. It is much prettier than a Fitbit :-).

By

Hasn’t worked well for me.

I have worn the watch for a couple of days and most features are not working correctly with HBand . The sleep evaluator mostly says I was asleep when I was awake and awake when I was actually asleep. The BP, Blood Oxygen, HRV, and ECG tracking windows on HBand say no data although they seem to work on the watch if I start them manually. It is supposed to wake you up if your blood oxygen level gets low while sleeping but since it can’t tell when I am actually asleep and the oxygen monitor on app says “no blood oxygen data”, I doubt this feature actually would work. Tried to get ahold of customer service but their support link says “server cannot be found” according to safari.

Great App with potential

Been using this for about 3 months now. I have used a similar product before, but it didn’t have the same interface. I like that it notifies you when your heart rate goes up. I would suggest a journal option for people with anxiety to be able to track possible triggers. All in all, it’s been very useful in understanding why mindset can affect health in a measurable way. It’s a great tool for people trying to quit smoking or the like or even dealing with pain and depression. Great job.

By

A good start, but could be a lot better

This is my third step/sleep tracker and each of them had their own apps. I like the aesthetic of the watch, which was a reasonable price. However, I think the functionality of the watch could be much improved by a few small tweaks in HBand . The vibration for incoming notifications is strong and long. It would be great if it was shorter, or if we could choose what we want. Also, when notifications come in, I’m not able to preview my message or the number that’s calling, that small improvement would make it much more useful!

By

Improvements needed to app

I am a blind person,so I use only HBand with voiceover to read the data from the watch. I can read the number of steps, and the number of hours slept. I would also like to have the number of calories burned shown with the step count. I can read the number of hours slept, but cannot understand the deep sleep, light sleep, and awake time data. It is hard to find the buttons to start the manual heart rate test, and the manual BP test. I can find them, but only after moving back and forth along the charts. Some of the prompts in HBand are also unclear. It would be very nice, if HBand would connect to Apple’s health app. I would like a way to give feedback to the authors of HBand .

I bought this to H Band to track my blood pressure

I’ve had a Fitbit for years which I loved, but since having high blood pressure now, I needed something more than what Fitbit had to offer. I’ve found that this monitors it fairly accurate! So now I have the data to show my doctor. And it has a “find your phone” feature!! Hooray for that!! I love the colored face info which my Fitbit didn’t have!! I just wish I could sync it with my Bluetooth weight scale and MyFitnessPal app!! That’s why I took off one star. Please, get on that!! Lol Great price for a great tracker!! I love it!

By

Data is for the most part fairly accurate.

The heart rate is almost always spot on. It does not capture my true heart rate during strenuous exercise but the rest of the time it is spot on.
As for the blood pressure, I find during rest periods it is 4-5 points high.
On my sleep data, the only time it has not been almost spot on is if I go to sleep around 10 pm and then get up sometime close to shortly after midnight. Then and only then it seems to think I didn’t actuallly go to bed until midnight. Other than that, very accurate to even the time I get up to go pee :)
My only complaint is there doesn’t seem to be a way to capture and store historical data and few of the sharing functions work properly. I don’t really care about the sharing function but I would like to capture and store historical data.

Not Impressed on Day 1

Can’t beat the price- it’s stylish & tells time! ... that’s about all you can trust it with though. Once i turned it on & paired it with my phone, I was disappointed. The watch does not automatically track heart rate and steps are not being tracked- in addition, not only is WiFi needed but the paired phone must be within 1 meter of the watch at all times to track anything. The screen options and sensitivity of the watch are not favorable. I wanted to be thrilled with this purchase- the package was shipped with a thoughtful note from the company and was a great touch- but I don’t feel the watch is able to fulfill the basic job of an activity watch as I had hoped. It’s still day 1, so I hope I’m proven wrong tomorrow!

App needs work

Great band for the price point, app needs some work.

Low Hanging Fruit (Easy Fixes)
- Make countdown same as timer. There’s no reason you can’t display the countdown time right on the watch the same way you display the count “up” time on the stopwatch. It’d be nice to actually see how much longer is on the countdown. Easy fix, the functionality already exists.

- Time Settings: I don’t know what you were thinking with this, but let users choose their own times. Only being able to choose between like 12-6pm and 6-12am for sedentary reminder is absurd. Let the users choose for themselves what times they want certain features, just include all options.

Other Improvements:
- more watchfaces: there’s only 2 styles, and you can’t even change the color of the default one. Seems easy enough.

You got a good thing going here, definitely some major flaws with HBand though, needs polish.

Decent with flaws

HBand over all is good but the one glaring flaw is that there doesn’t seem to be a way to export the data. There are links to Facebook, Twitter, etc. which are useless (to me at least). A .csv export should be included and should be extremely easy to implement. I need to print out heart rate and blood pressure data for my physician (we know the values aren’t perfect, but for use as a reference - as the instructions state). I’m also getting a sync error when switching to the long term values although this may be because I’ve only been wearing it for a day now.

By

Turn off daily notifications

HBand seems to work decently. It’s obviously run by non-native English speakers, which is sometimes frustrating. I need to find out if there is a way to turn off the daily notification that reminds me to turn on HBand ? It comes every morning at 6 AM like an alarm. I’ve had to stop wearing my watch at night, and put my phone on do not disturb to avoid a 6 AM wake up call. I have looked through all the settings and can’t find a setting that refers to this feature. Any help would be appreciated.

Love this App!!

HBand is legit amazing. It's kept track of my heart rate, sleep, and steps... BOOYAH!

I see a lot of people worried about the sleep/giving HBand low ratings because of the sleep function. This watch will start you as "asleep" from the moment you lay down for 15 minutes+ at night, then will say you're asleep until you are up and walking around for more than 10 minutes...

Just a reminder that HBand is not a Genie, folks! 😂

I've been using the watch and app for a few weeks now. My BP was relatively normal, from the readings. Went to my Dr today and in actuality my BP was sky high. The EKG readings were telling me I was at high risk for Ventricular Hypertrophy. Then it would say I was at low risk. I was sent to the hospital for an EKG which was normal. In another week I will be doing the 24 Hour Holter Monitor. I asked my Dr then why they recommend these watches? She doesn't put much trust in them. Neither do I now that my BP was sky high and the watch said it wasn't. I'll stick with Dr visits.

Customer Service awaste of time all they did was send me to the tech support which is a paid subscription. No way.. The silicone band caused an allergy on my skin, the readings are not accurate or an extreme delay. Pearl Wilson in chat was the most unhelpful person

Can't get several of the functions to work. They all say "no data." The blood sugar, sleep, temp and steps are working, but nothing heart or oxygen related. Is this watch returnable????

Alistair Campbell   2 months ago

My Fitaos smartwatch seems ok, and it won't generate realtime data if it's not on my wrist, but the H Band Android app will accumulate health data when I'm not wearing the device, including systolic and diastolic blood pressures, if the device is turned on, and still connected by bluetooth to the app. This surely just has to be data generated by the app, or background hidden data generated by the Fitaos device that is read by the app.

We have a problem my brother bought 2 of these watches one for him and one for me. upon setting it up ran into the problem of blood glucose levels. both of us are on the usage of mg/dl the other units are useless to both of us. As i am on a insulin pump i am trying it to see if it would be beneficial to people that are diabetic and low income. i am suppose to write a report on this for a endocrinologist and my primary doctor this needs to be change for it to be used in the us where i live.

I had not had my BP checked and my H band kept saying my BP was between 116-127/ 75-81. I went to the doctor and my BP was 150/82 part of it was nerves but I got a PB cuff and my BP is around 136-141/76-89. It is not very accurate and I wish I had read reviews before I bought it. It was half price and okay for tracking steps.

muhammad naeem   8 months ago

I bought it for checking Blood sugar level. It gives reading in mmol/l instead mg/dl which is used in USA. Readings were way off like difference of 40 units above than what I checked with other needle prick method.readings were different on different tests at same time.Useless even to get idea how much is actual blood glucose level.

Have used for a week. I love all the features. It doesn’t alert me for SMS texts Pugh. But alerts for Messenger come in. Not sure how accurate BP is, not the same as my arm blood pressure cuff. Love the large screen…I can read it! It also lights up.counts my steps. Can make calls and receive only if phone is within 50 feet. Am happy with it.

When I read the Terms and Conditions for using H-Band and what it would be collecting and possibly sharing with third parties … AND the fact this was designed and maintained in China, I chose not to download and use for my smart watch. In a nutshell, I’m not a big fan of Chinese technology or it’s ability to capture data on unsuspecting American users. God knows what it’s used for, so I chose not to put my data out there anymore than what’s already out there. If it works for you, God love ya.

jeff hilmer   9 months ago

just started it . bought specifically because it claimed to monitor blood sugars which is critical for diabetics. after only a few hours it is clear that it does NOT do the job. When my libre monitor was giving a high warning (over 13) the watch showed 7. it is worse than useless. it could be potentially dangerous. i did not expect it would be very accurate, but somewhere in the ball park would have been OK. this isnt

Your app will not accept ANY passwords in order to create an account. The pop up window stating it is not an acceptable password, with no instructions of WHAT IS an acceptable password, comes up each and every time. I have picked passwords now countless times with numbers, caps, lower case and special characters from 6 digits all the way up to 20 and the same message pops up. There were also times that a pop up stated that a code had been sent to my email, but this also never happened and I checked my junk folder every time. I can’t use all of the features without an account. Please help!

I recently received a watch from Bearscome, which uses your H Band app to operate. The question is your app measures blood glucose in mmol/L where in the US we use mg/dL. There is a conversion app that converts it however would you please incorporate it into your app. Thank you
