This was a fiasco. I’ve had the BBQ and it was good, but not worth the hassle. Ordered thru app, got confirmation text. But when I went to pick up...
• BBQ pickup in parking lot, “Jack & Jill” too busy talking to come to the car, so I left the assigned spot, drive to them sitting under canopy to notify them I’ve arrived to pick up my app order... that’s when the fun began
• they couldn’t find my order (paid on app!)
• next they didn’t have BBQ, “do you want some chopped? And we can deduct it from our charge?”
• you can get a refund but you have to call number in app (not there I’ve looked)
• “can’t get a refund tonight (5:30p) since my boss has left for the night”
• employee says, “yeah the app is having a lot of problems, you probably shouldn’t use it. Next time just go in.”
• no offer to compensate my family, for my money, time or inconvenience, just “you shouldn’t have used app.”

The app has so many problems. Most of the time it shows items out of stock, when they’re available in the store. It doesn’t allow for mobile checkout. It also won’t allow me to select the store on the map. I don’t understand how this app can be so problematic when the HEB app has no issues.
It’s definitely a turn off to have these issues when I crave bbq. Now I’ll get it from somewhere else.

After calling and being told I could drive there and order or order online (with no offer to take order on phone) I went to the trouble of downloading app. Then ordered and paid online. My husband got there, had to wait in line behind ten cars who hadn’t ordered, and when he got to the front they told him they did not have the order! Valentinas may be a bit pricier, but at least they don’t lose your order after you’ve paid for it!!!
