this app is now levying a ridiculously inflated service fee on transactions. This can be a huge percentage of the cost of the upgrade itself. It’s also not mentioned until you get the stage of confirming your bid - so the “minimum upgrade bid” price is misleading. This is bait and switch price gouging. You don’t charge people a fee and then tell them you are saving them money. Especially when a month ago, providing the same service did not require a fee. Shameful.

I’ve spent over an hour trying to get Seatfrog to save a payment card and it will not. The cards work with other merchants so it is an app issue, not a card issue. Also, I can’t find a way to get tech help… only a faq page that doesn’t help with my problem. Frustrating.

Gathers every possible piece of information from you including credit card details before allowing you to bid. The the bids have minimums that are many times more expensive than if you had just purchased an upgraded ticket in the first place. Super dodgy.

Seatfrog used to work well for me, but now it won’t let me add a payment method and doesn’t explain why. No quick customer service options are available to help troubleshoot.

Do not recommend this app to book tickets.
Did not get the seats requested instead got the Worst seats possible on both occasions. Highly recommend buying directly from train company or using Trainline service.

Recommended to download Seatfrog after buying tickets only to find out that all upgraded seats are already sold out for our trip. Why bother getting Seatfrog then?

I have correctly entered my info a dozen times to purchase tickets that are listed as available only to be told to try again. Grrr!

Use ipad and wont turn the screens to landscape. Upgrade that has been paid and charged to credit card does not turn up in app records

I have contacted help desk 3 times re this issue - they keep telling me it’s fixed….spoiler alert it is not

Can’t get past selecting a train time without that error popping up and force closes Seatfrog .

Payment refused on multiple cards. Can’t bid with Jo card saved. So iPhone app is useless

Seatfrog is useless. I was able to purchase train tickets, but Seatfrog would not accept my payment card, which is required to enter auctions for seat upgrades. I tried using my iPhone, my partner’s android, and we both tried using different browsers on the website as well. Customer service was initially quick to reply, but has since not replied after we tried their troubleshooting tips (ensuring most recent version of Seatfrog is downloaded and tried logging into the website to add payment details as well). The error message we received didn’t give much detail, but I did contact my card issued to verify it wasn’t an issue on my card’s side. Very frustrating.

I get code to download app. App signs me in automatically yet has no information on the train reservation I just made. When I go to trouble if looking up booking ref # and enter it in, it says no info avail. No information on how when info will be avail, when to check back, no info on how to use Seatfrog or how auctions work. Useless.
