Lowe’s proves once again that it’s living in the dark ages. LowesPreLoad is hot garbage. Won’t allow cards to be loaded from any source, constantly gets locked, etc.. It’s amazing how much time I’ve had to take to TRY to spend money with Lowe’s but you guys make it almost impossible. I run 3 crews and spend $15000 per week on building materials and you’ve managed to lose ALL of my business with your archaic programs and horrible customer service. Looks like Home Depot will be getting all of my business from now on.

Beware of LowesPreLoad and service. Lowe’s doesn’t stand behind this service. There is ZERO support for the service. You’ll load money on the card and then they’ll freeze your account for no reason at all trapping your money.
Go to Home Depot or Menards. They stand behind their products and have a lot better customer service.
This service is a joke.

Why did you take Away the option to use additional debit or credit cards!!! Have more than 2 credit/debit cards and I can’t even delete to add a new one for the two that is allowed and no one answers the phone or even upgrade account I did the request two months ago!!!

They are very slow to respond. I made a $5000 deposit and they suspended my account for unknown reasons. I have been waiting for a response from them on why the account is on suspension. I needed to place a large order with the funds and now the money is stuck in there system with no resolution. Lowe’s always plays games with your money. Including a 10-day refund policy.

I have gotten my card and I have a log in but I’m unable to get into my account on LowesPreLoad . Lowe’s needs to step up their game and take it seriously if they are going to put all their money on LowesPreLoad being the best way to load onto your card. My password and email are right but won’t be accepted by LowesPreLoad . Checked it several times with no solution

Called phone number busy signal at 10:30 central. Takes long time to process funds to use them. Not worth hassle for 5% discount

This is perhaps the worst software that I have ever used. The concept is great, but the execution is horrible. I have had perhaps 15 emails back and forth with tech support and it is still a frustrating mess.

Unless you have money that bothers you in your account they will be more than glad to hold it for months. Employees at the store have no knowledge of this card. I had a HORRIBLE experience.

LowesPreLoad does not working and there is no support. Save your time. I spent too much of my time and my workers time trying to get it to work. Lowes should be embarrassed to be associated with this

LowesPreLoad is useless if every other page is a blank white screen that freezes LowesPreLoad and I have to force close to regain control, but that doesn’t help because I lose everything I’ve done and it starts everything back at the beginning! I was smart enough to go to the PreLoad website and set my account up and everything went fine there. However i opened LowesPreLoad back up and tried logging back in and as soon as it accepted my login credentials it kicked me straight to that blank white screen again. Once the white screen comes up it will not do anything. I can't go back and i sat my phone down for 20 minutes on the white screen and it made no attempt to load or time out . As I'm sure you know I have to have LowesPreLoad to activate my card so until i can get into LowesPreLoad my Lowes PreLoad card is useless . At this point I am VERY SKEPTICAL ABOUT PUTTING ANY MONEY ON THIS CARD BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEMS I’VE HAD IN THE FIRST 24 HOURS OF HAVING IT! I’m not sure if Lowe’s knows about any of this because they aren’t the developers. I’m definitely going to make them aware of it because if my company’s name was attached to a poor quality product I would absolutely want someone to let me know about it. I had high hopes for this card. It would be a great asset to my company because I can give everybody a card and I can control the amount of money that they can spend. I’ve had a couple of bad experiences with just this issue. Now I’m not sure if I’m going to use it at all. 🤮🤢🤬😡😤

Just downloaded LowesPreLoad a couple of weeks ago followed all protocols and funded the account have made two or three purchases on LowesPreLoad from phone. I went to use it today for purchase and it advised me the account had been suspended. Called support, India, and they advised it would be 24 hrs before they could let me know why the account was suspended, by phone.

Do not load this card with money they will lock your card & hold your money hostage ! They have a number on the back of card for problems but when there is an actual problem they will refuse to help you & make you do everything threw (karmic.) it does not say Lowes so I’m assuming it means they used a third party company that’s why when there’s a problem they say screw you it is not our problem & keep your money hostage.

Horrible app no customer support from app developers or Lowe’s. Added money to use with my business and account was “suspended” within 2 days before I was even able to purchase on my new account. Lowe’s has been zero help and just refer you to LowesPreLoad developer who you cannot get any help from. Can’t say enough about how bad LowesPreLoad and service of Lowe’s has been. Save yourself and don’t use a Lowe’s preload card.

I have had LowesPreLoad for over a year and while the 5% back has been very helpful, LowesPreLoad itself has caused me an unbelievable amount of frustration and time. It crashes frequently and the support is very spotty. Tech support usually asks me to delete my credit card then re enter it, or delete LowesPreLoad and re install it. Neither sounds like a reliable solution. Big waste of time for 5%.

Don’t burn your time on this. LowesPreLoad always fails or won’t login. The website doesn’t work at all on a phone. The in store card fails to load every time. The customer support speaks such bad English that they don’t understand what you’re saying.

Full disclosure. I’m a prior Lowe’s store and corporate employee in the Orlando market. I downloaded and started using this product before the stores knew how to set it up and verify. Luckily I was working with a Commercial Sales Specialist at a store I used to work very closely with in my prior role as a Lowe’s associate. To make sure I’m not blind to the issues users of the Pre-Load card are having, I read all reviews. That was easy as there are only 13 prior to mine. Also I have never had the card locked or had any need to call or email customer service.
Firstly the overall concept is great! This card offers many of the same benefits as the Lowe’s LBA and LAR products, but is a cash based spend vs. credit.
Secondly the execution is where the problem is. The time it takes to load the vault and to transfer money to the various cards is way too slow. I have done these processes in store, at my office and on the road with equal displeasure. This is a Discover product run through an app designed by Karmic. Not sure where the breakdown is or if there are too many systems trying to work together to achieve what I’m asking LowesPreLoad to do, but it needs HELP.
Thirdly the point of sale transaction is instantaneous as an email and text message is received while still standing at the register, but a refund to the card takes eons. Conversely a refund to other credit and debit cards I use are almost as fast as the sale.
Fourthly for financial security refunds should go back to the vault, not to the card. Again something is wrong with the communication and transaction abilities of these various systems.
It has been a long standing ‘tradition’, at Lowe’s, to roll out a product and then work out the kinks. This could easily fit into that category. Give it a chance and maybe Discover, Karmic and Lowe’s will work it out. New leadership eventually creates change at all levels and in all programs.

I’ve had it for a few months and I use the barcode on my phone, but I have to explain to your associates how to take my barcode on my phone at your store in Greenville. I’ve even had a cashier in Sulphur Springs refuse to take it as her store manager told them they don’t take credit cards on phones. Fortunately another manager I guess realizing it was a preload account took the card over her objections. Like I said best idea, but the rollout has a lot to be desired.
