Ok at first it had zero ads but then there was an update that added a banner ad at the bottom. And then recently there was an update that added a “pro subscription” and there is a fullscreen video ad any time you try to do anything. And now you need the subscription to even put a widget. CountdownTimer is ruined

This is definitely a slick looking app, but it’s difficult to edit. I’d like to check on what date I used to set my countdown, and possibly adjust that date. I see absolutely no way to do that. The drop-down menu shows no choices to check the settings or change the data that was already input.

I downloaded CountdownTimer thinking it would help me with counting down to the second the times on my radio shows. There is no way to set the time, only the day. Also it needs to be on constantly and not have to keep going back into CountdownTimer . All the older apps I used did that perfect but they don’t work with newer phones. If there is a way to set the time to countdown to on a certain date please let me know.

When I got the game it was very good but one day it just started to not work. I wanted to put June 9th to see how many days until then, but it is 1 day off. I even tried today, it’s just not working and it’s not good for vacations or things happening that day. But the good thing is it doesn’t take up much space on your phone.

A lot of the top reviews here are fake, CountdownTimer has a ridiculously annoying amount of ADS, and DOES NOT let you use a widget, even though it specifically lists widgets on it’s list of capabilities in CountdownTimer itself. All it does is pull up random ads and show you a countdown to a specific date while in CountdownTimer only.

It needs to have a time you can change as well with hours and minutes.

The design is simple enough but I am looking for an app/widget that will display in the back ground. I am also looking to set it up for my retirement date and display not the hours, minutes and seconds but weeks. I also would like to display the number of work days so I can subtract off the weekends, holidays and vacation days and display only the number of work days I have remaining.

I wish I had kicked the tires more on CountdownTimer, but I’m finding that the display of the countdown timer only seems to be full-screen. When I try to swap to other running apps on my iPhone 16Pro it is NOT obvious and pretty difficult to switch to other apps/screens that is a pretty typical activity for iPhone users.

It says my birthday is in 2 hours is 9 for me

Does exactly what I need. However you can’t name the countdown so you just have to remember what it’s for. Great app

No ads, simple, and easy to use. It even comes with Widget support in two different sizes. What more could you ask for?

The only quirk it has is when the countdown gets down to a day before it ends, and instead of showing a day left, it will show less than a day. Which makes complete sense once you realize that it’s counting down to the exact time that day will start (midnight) rather than whenever you first set the countdown. Easy to get used to, and definitely not a deal breaker for me.

Works exactly as advertised. It doesn’t do a bunch of crazy, cool things, but it also doesn’t glitch. It’s exactly what I was looking for it to do and it delivered on what it promised.

I downloaded it on a whim, because lots of apps hide the micro transactions in CountdownTimer once you go to use its features. I saw this one let me set up a widget FOR FREE which makes my heart sing! Ty for not being a money hungry person, and keeping practicality in mind!

I just wish we could label the countdown so it shows what it’s counting down to!

Kept it 5 stars instead of 4 because I’m not that stingy for a label feature

All I wanted was a free, no frills countdown app that counted up from an important date. This is it! I didn’t care about having other dates or colors, and especially didn’t want ads or to have to pay for something so simple. It’s just what I wanted. Thank you!

I have never rated an app in my 10 years of owning an iPhone but CountdownTimer is the record breaker! I absolutely love it! It’s the perfect widget, it doesn’t make you buy anything, and it doesn’t send any notifications!! I can peacefully count down until vacation without worrying if I’m going to get a charge!

Every single other countdown app requires a payment to utilize widgets. CountdownTimer?? NOPE. Completely free, and can change CountdownTimer size on the home screen to display the countdown. Should have came here first!! Good to use if you just have one big event you need a countdown for, which I do, for more than one countdown I’d probably look elsewhere. But for my application it was PERFECT. Would highly recommend.

Very easy to set up you don’t have to change it every day no payments required add free and have fun seeing you/your family and friends birthday 🥳🤩🥳🤩🥳🤩🥳🤩
