Manual start

Wish it had the option to hit a button to manually start a run instead you have to rely on the gps to automatically start it for you

Performance Testing

GPSRaceTimer provides standard testing like 1/4 mile time and speed, 0 to 60, 0 to 80 time etc.
It can start timing when you start to move, I like that.
One thing I really like is the ability to set settings for different “passing” speeds.
Like maybe you want to know time testing starting 10 mph finish at 70 mph, there are user setting available.
I like GPSRaceTimer a lot!!!

Worthless

Half of the time the timer never even starts. The results I get are so sporadic I wouldn’t trust them. My 2016 charger hemi should be in the 5.5 ish second range for 0-60. Sometimes it says 8 or 10 or nothing then says I did a 12 second quarter mile. Anyone who knows anything about drag time knows those two times don’t add up. I ran about 20 times and twice got a 5.9 which should be in the ballpark. It doesn’t correct the time if the GPS lags either, despite what the developer says in all their replies to negative comments.

Needs work

So I tried this with my 2021 mustang ecoboost while also using the 0-60 timer that comes with the car, and this timer was a whole second faster then my cars timer. This says my zero to 60 is 4.5 seconds, and we all know that is not true for a stock ecoboost. The cars timer said 5.5 seconds, which seemed about right. So this one seems to be inaccurate.

Motorized Bicycles

I build and ride motorized bicycles and it’s a real blast, now with GPSRaceTimer it just got to be even more fun,and we have real time speeds and numbers to go by to fine tune our bikes so they can be all they can be. LOL Paul Harper

How do I start timer

Do I just drive

Hands free

GPSRaceTimer is great because it’s free, it works well for the home gamer and you don’t have to hit anything to start the timer.

Well Done!

Needs work

When press reset after a run, the timer doesn’t restart. It sits at zero. I literally have to shutdown GPSRaceTimer , open it up. Then wait 30-60 seconds for it to work again. And I notice there is a delay. Sometimes times will not start right away

By

Doesn’t work

Half the time GPSRaceTimer doesn’t start timing even when 100% gps is shown and when it did work it was posting 0-60 times that are 4-5 seconds slower than reality. It’s just way off. Watching it showed speed 12-15 mph less than car showed (48mph vs 60mph). No way the car’s digital speedometer has that much error. GPSRaceTimer isn’t keeping up.

By

It doesn’t register 0-60 at all on iPhone 11

So many positive reviews, but unfortunately I have to write a negative one. I get very strong GPS signal and very accurate current speed reading. But 0-60 always shows 0. I thought maybe my car was too fast as it does 0-60 in 4 seconds. But then I drove slower and still didn’t get any reading back.

By

Distance tracking off.

Seems to measure and time speed correctly (close to observed speed on car speedometer) 0-60 time was consistent across 3 runs but distance was inconsistent on 0-60 runs. 1/4 mile was beeping very late over known 1/4 mile distance and logged time that was off by around two seconds.

By

Good app

Wish it had a 60 foot time and a reaction time but works good I like that you can save your runs

By

Very inconsistent

0-60 with stability control on in standard mode with no revving = “8 seconds”

0-60 with stability control off in sport mode with launch control = “9 seconds”

I have a strong(100%) GPS signal. Can’t use GPSRaceTimer reliably

Does what it should

Easy to use and does what it says on a description. Like it

By

Really works!

I use it to practice 1/4 times. Very accurate.

By

Won’t start when I take off

Tried about 20 runs. 3 of them actually started when I took off. The other 15-20 didn’t.

Worthless unless you want to do 10 runs to get one reading

By

Don’t really care for

It works well when it works. I’ll do pulls and I misses one or both of the times. I come to a complete stop. Reset it and still nothing.

By

Doesn’t seem to work right

Had to try repeatedly to get it to start timing. Not sure how accurate it is... times were pretty far behind what the car is reported to do.

By

Maybe my car is too fast?!

Ha! But Idk what the reason is, It takes 5-6 seconds before it can even capture my speed. Speed stays at zero. Like I’m already going 50-60 miles and it just starts recognizing that the car moved.

review

pretty cool app. Nothing wrong and was pretty accurate

By

Distance-timing is off

Checking the distance over a known area, the 1/4mile detection seems off by quite a bit.

By

Doesn’t work

It doesn’t work for me. It starts counting right away but doesn’t shut off. Tried multiple times and finally just exit GPSRaceTimer . Maybe there is a glitch?

By

Good idea - but it doesn’t work

Hey you guys well done for trying. But unfortunately it does not work as advertised. Inaccurate times and works once every blue moon.

By

0-60 innacurate

Shaved 20 pounds per corner from a prior high 12 second truck, app states it take 8+ seconds to get 0-60mph. 4wd so it hooks, but it’s free so see for yourself.

By

Does not work

App will only stay open for a few seconds then closes

By

Very good

Worried very well. Thanks

By

Won’t load

Won’t load. Isn’t working at all. Please fix
