I downloaded this thinking it would be a great way for my son and I to discover together. It seems cool, if it worked. When we select a topic it gives us this small box of information then asks us to find a flat surface and move the phone slowly around. We did this the first time for 30 minutes and got nothing. We thought maybe it was due to not having enough lighting since it was night time. The next day we tried again during the day with the same results.

LOVE the concept of JigSpace for use with my two kids and learning how certain things work. Definitely not willing to pay $50/mo for something like this but to access more “jigs” and nothing else I’d definitely pay something. Bummed we’ve looked at everything within their knowledge level within two days.

The 3D models are interesting and informative (though they could use some editing for spelling). But what benefit is really added by putting the models on a surface in my home? Instead of using my fingers for navigate to look at the top or bottom of the model, I have to move my device all around, sometimes getting myself into very awkward positions.
The AR adds a novelty and wow factor, but JigSpace would do its job perfectly well (maybe better) without it.

My only issue is this:

Very little content. I have the Jig workshop so I suppose I could make my own Jigs for now but it would be cool if the Jig Library was larger.

Speaking of which, with as many users as Jig has, why isn’t there more (any) community made Jigs? I can’t find any of them, or has this just not caught on yet?? Or am I not looking in the right place?

Downloaded and tested it before showing to you the kids. And, while it is a very neat concept and rather informative, I have issues with some of the applications. While in the solar system one specifically, you find yourself turning your device every which way to read the information bubbles and still coming up why. I would prefer to be able to tap on them or something to enhance them. And have better control over my view. Otherwise I enjoy it.

What a fun & exciting app! Both of my kids love exploring on here! (1st grade & K-5) This is a great tool for explaining, showing kids the “inner workings” of so many things. So cool!

[previously written: It’s a bright sunny day, I’m using a brand new iPad outside, I’ve used every “flat surface” I can think of (including an 8’ slice of clean plywood, laid flat on the ground with sunlight pouring down on it - also tried a clean, new sheet of white poster board laid flat on the white sidewalk with sunlight pouring down - etc etc). I’ve moved the iPad around slightly as JigSpace keeps suggesting, there’s no MORE lights to turn on, not a cloud in the sky & I swear it’s bright enough for sunglasses. JigSpace won’t accept ant flat surface no matter what I try. I’ve worked on it for an hour. For the record, yes I first tried every flat surface inside the house (with every light on, despite the ridiculousness of it).
What’s the problem? Can anyone help? There’s 2 kids & 2 adults here, who’d love to explore JigSpace.]

I have only done 2 jig tutorials and I’ve learned more than a handful of interesting new facts. Start adding “Do it yourself Jigs” to assist in everyday repairs (I.e., carb cleaning/rebuild, oil change, putting in a new window or door pack into your house, plumbing, repairs, and I could really benefit from this form of education.

So I got pretty bummed when I went to pull my first jig up and saw nothing but the background frantically moving from left to right. It’s the middle of the night so I had the time to shoot a quick email. Well with in the hour I realized I had already gotten a cheery response asking for a picture and a promise they could fix with no problem. Turns out I’m not so smart and had my camera permission blocked. :) they were great and JigSpace was even greater !!! I feel like this will become huge once they had the ability to create your own jigs. ... fully recommend

So truly awesome, honestly the reason I love life and being alive to see technology like this come into existence and anticipate it’s inevitable evolution as vast as the ever expanding universe of the creators imagination and the input of however many associating creative minds in awe of artistic talent and the greatness of fearless change within some people.

JigSpace works really amazing on the new iPhones. It really breaks down the anatomy of each jig as well and explains each part. It works super seamlessly and I don't see any glitches at all so far. It really breaks down and explains things to a tee and I think it's great for learning. Well done!

I was skeptical when I first learned of AR as a feature on the newest iPhones... no longer. I was just able to see how a stent is put in an artery of the human heart, how an atomic bomb works, and more all from my phone in my living room. I’m amazed and I can’t wait to see where this goes from here! Well done.

JigSpace is seriously incredible. Being able to see everything in 3D, right in front of me, makes all the difference in how I learn. It’s so easy to use. I love it! Can’t wait for new jigs!

Some of the models in JigSpace are very rudimentary. But, then again, several show amazing detail, such as the mechanical and spacecraft models. It would a great improvement, tho’, if some models had far more labels telling you what components are in the more complex models. Given all that, both child and adult could learn a lot from JigSpace.

Jig is the best way of learning. I am 70 yrs old and you can learn just about anything anywhere you choose. It shows every angle of the subject and takes you step by step. Also, there’s a spot on here to make your own jig and teach as well as learn. Truly a unique way of learning I recommend this to adults and children alike. Happy learning!

Such a cool idea. Makes things that aren’t accessible......accessible. This will be the future for schools (you may be thinking I’m over reaching, but truly being able to see how things work by slicing and cutting it up without having to do any of it. Sooooo cool!). Soon, you will be able to start to manipulate it without using a “slide” mentality. But this is such a huge step in an exciting new direction.

I love the tracking on JigSpace, it’s very precise! It would be cool to see how a tornado starts up in a storm and reaches the ground. And hurricanes and dust storms. A lot of weather jigs would be cool!!

Also if you could make an option to where we can go to next step without pressing arrows, maybe some kind of verbal action or nodding action because I like to wear an AR headset with my phone in it and look at everything. Feels like I’m standing right in front of it!

To anyone debating about JigSpace, I definitely recommend it. I have always loved learning how different things work and how all the pieces work together, and JigSpace pulls it off perfectly! For starters the modeling is beautiful, the attention to detail especially. And then JigSpace has tutorials for so many things, I’m really excited to see where this will go! If you haven’t already thought of it, please consider adding some more biology jigs, because I feel like JigSpace would be perfect for learning biology!

This is the most interesting learning app I have ever downloaded and have never seen anything like it! It allows you to see 3d objects in the real world, and can rotate it horizontally, switching steps to explore the inside of objects to discover how they work! It even does 3d how-to tutorials, walking you through procedures like fixing a leaky tap! If there was one suggestion I had, it would be the ability to not only rotate the object horizontally, but also to twist it and rotate it vertically. Overall, an amazing and truly mesmerizing app!👍😀👏

I love, love, LOVE, JigSpace so much! Me and my little sister play this all the time! We play around with the coral reef Jig. It’s so cool because if you put out your hand it will actually go OVER the AR object! It looks so real too. If you didn’t know if you use AR and you try to put your hand in front of it, it’ll always just go behind it, BUT NOT WITH THIS! I am truest amazed that these people took this amount of time out of their day to make everyone else have a better day!

I’ve been a fan of JigSpace for a long time. Jig space is hands-down the most engaging way to learn about whatever topics are on JigSpace . My only complaint is that there are not more jigs. I have been a long-time user and will continue so long as jigs keep getting added. Great job guys. JigSpace is definitely worth your time to download.

I just started using this app and I can already say, JigSpace beats any other AR/3D learning app. I can’t wait to see what new jigs the developers bring us! Even if you are just looking for these kind of apps to mess around with, this is the first one I would recommend to anyone!
