The Legend of Sleepy Hollow iC Reviews

A Tasteful Performance of the tale of SleepyHollow. True this book features wonderful art and engaging music. But the “devil is in the details”, and this iClassic book brings it all together that I was compelled to read it all the way through on Halloween night...and it was not my Intention to do so! A lot of the music is period music to the time, and and I particularly enjoyed the songs at the party. And the transition of the farm land into candy land. The use of the phone’s flash when lightning strikes. The people at iClassics have given the Legend of Sleepy Hollow the treatment it deserves. Of course if you’ve seen the Disney version from the 50’s it’s hard not to picture the scenes, but this being the original text (or so it seems), what better way to actually read the story than with all of the atmosphere and attention getters built in to bring this book to life!

These books are entertaining and well done, but unfortunately I have to give them a low rating due to the apps suspicious behavior. I have purchased all of the iclassics and found that they all immediately default to the 'on' position in cellular data and immediately use nearly a megabyte of data. Why a book would need to use any data at all is curious and that they use that much data is both odd and suspicious. I wrote to the company at the email posted on their website but received no response. I cannot recommend purchasing these books unless they stop this practice of sending whatever data they're gathering and using customers cellular data without permission.

TheLegendofSleepyHollowiC was a fun retelling of one of my favorite short stories, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.” The music was fantastic and the graphics were fun and engaging.

TheLegendofSleepyHollowiC did have a few bugs and wasn’t formatted correctly on my iPhone 12 Pro. Despite having some trouble navigating to new pages, I overall really enjoyed TheLegendofSleepyHollowiC and recommend it to anyone that’s a fan of the story.

I did enjoy this production. The artwork was whimsical yet hauntingly beautiful. The music was on par with the type you would hear in a big budget movie score. My only recommendation would be if you could touch the archaic words and get a quick definition.

- Don’t ask me to review every time TheLegendofSleepyHollowiC is used.

- You have to scrub through the intro video every time you open TheLegendofSleepyHollowiC . It’s like amateur hour. How do both of these items translate to a relaxing reading experience?

- TheLegendofSleepyHollowiC tracks your location, which can be shut off by going into settings. Why does an app that solely involves an interactive book need my location data? Are they just curious where their users are located or are they selling it? I have three of their apps and only two are trying to track my location. Not sure why this is.

Very well done. Could be of use to spark a child’s interest in reading. Because some of the words are antique, would help to have a built-in dictionary. Also, more realistic graphics, that would teach you a little bit about the actual look and artifacts of the time and place would, for me, have been preferable to the highly stylized cartoon images.

I always enjoyed the movie made by Disney was like a tradition on mi house growing up every Halloween.
I’m glad to see that the legend of sleepy hollow would be enjoyed for a new generation these books are beautifully made and I can see all the hard work done by the developers awesome work guys!

Surprises around every corner made TheLegendofSleepyHollowiC turn a classic story into a spooky, Halloween bedtime story. My son and I loved all of the graphics and the music helped create mystery. We are hoping to purchase more apps like this in the future. TheLegendofSleepyHollowiC seems appropriate for ages 7 and up, not too scary but just scary enough.

Some of the interaction like moving things out of the way when reading were needless filler. Very good quality artwork though.

I have many of the iClassics collections. What a great enhancement to already great classic works of fiction! The art and animations are thoroughly enthralling. It makes the stories even more fun to share with children or adults. Keep up the great work!

An enchanted interlude, that is how I describe my investment of late October time to this “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” gem. What a solid alchemy this rich and timeless tale embellished visually into a graphic wonder. The richness of the depiction of poor Ichabod’s odd stature will always stay with me. A fine experience I will faithfully re-visit each Autumn.

I thoroughly enjoyed TheLegendofSleepyHollowiC. Definitely want to check out the other books by TheLegendofSleepyHollowiC developer.

After waiting a very long time for an update I can finally say that I enjoyed it a lot.

Would have given five stars. Great series. Just writing this so i can get by the request to write a review and read it again. Stupid trick makers of this series.

I enjoyed the music and artwork very much. I love to read and this enhanced the story tremendously.

TheLegendofSleepyHollowiC itself is great, but you really should say upfront that the content costs 1.99. I don’t mind paying, and I did, but rolled my eyes when 5 pages in a price popped up.

This is a wonderful Halloween app for the kids and even adults!

Crashes on iPhone 8 quite frequently.

This a great app. My kids enjoy the illustrations and the story is easier to understand and follow than from the regular books we have read.
