Awful app, annoying reminders

This is a very basic app that once you download you will not be able to turn off the reminders. My phone and watch have literally been buzzing every 20 minutes even with the reminders selected to “not scheduled” and no way to delete future “schedules” reminders. I don’t think the basic game and weird stickers are worth the hassle.

Save your 99¢

Save your $1, and use it to by a sticker pack at the local dollar store for your own reward system. The number of "events" (their word for potty time) never updates and sits at 0. Sound only works if you have the phone ringer on, because the sounds were programmed as ringtones not alerts. The sticker feature doesn't unlock. There's an option to schedule potty time reminders, but you have to manually start them every day, which completely defeats the purpose of scheduling them. I ended up deleting PottyToiletTraining , and using the timer on my phone instead. Small toys, stickers, and treats made a much better reward system

Sharing with spouse impossible

Got PottyToiletTraining cause I figured wife and I could sinc our sons potty training. Know when he has accidents. Know when he makes it. And what he does at what times. But I can’t share my account/app with wife without being charged again and all info being separated. The point was so we could be on same page but with our work hours it’s impossible to have the info easily shared. If not for that it would be 5 stars

Sound doesn’t work

Save yourself the money and set the timer on your phone. I’ve adjusted all settings, put volume in high, updated all banners sounds whatever. Absolutely no sound or anything. Have made several attempts and it just doesn’t work. The whole reason was to get it to make a sound so my son would know when to go. Unless you are actively looking at your phone, you get no notification.

The alarm needs an OFF setting

I’m setting my own alarm playing a fun song that I downloaded. If PottyToiletTraining allowed me to upload my alarm, then I’d be happy. According to PottyToiletTraining there is no way for me to turn off their alarm! So my alarm goes off but so does theirs. What will happen after bedtime? Will it continue to go off? It’s frustrating. There is no “alarm off” setting. I do like that you can track accidents, all bathroom breaks, etc.

Okay

It does a good job tracking potty times, and the game and sticker function is cool. It would be amazing if:
- it created a timeline or chart showing patterns over the span of several days. The visual representation of potty times would make figuring out a schedule so much easier.
- you were able to share PottyToiletTraining with other caregivers so that everyone can be on the same page about schedules.

Good, room for improvement

Update: after 24hrs I need to amend this review. The the reminder setting does NOT have a customizable quiet setting for things like night time or naps. Since I can only make one setting I have it for my 4yr old and have it set at every 2 hours....so it goes off every 2 hours all day and ALL NIGHT. Obviously at 2am I’m furiously turning off the notifications and this morning had to go into my phone settings to turn them back on- that’s gonna get old real fast.

I have a just turned 2yr old and just turned 4yr old who are in different stages of potty training. My 4yr old doesn’t need a reminder every 20 minutes but the 2yr old does. I wish there was a way to customize the reminder settings to each child (different timers/ringtone for each) also I wish the games were customizable by age. My 4yr old likes the puzzles and matching games but the 2 year old just isn’t there yet and gets bored with it.

Reminders

It would be nice to be able to set reminders according to the day of the week. Example: if you have a child that is in daycare Monday- Friday 8-5 we don’t need a potty reminder going off while we are at work but on Saturday and Sunday all day would be needed.

It’s ok...

Seems like it could be capable of doing more, there should be an option for wee and poo at the same time without selecting 2 different events. The filter should have a “day” category instead of “today”... so you can just look at each day that has past individually. It should also be able to be shared and synced with another person cause let’s face it potty training is not a one person show. Also the stickers and games are not really needed, at least in my case.

Needs to add category for “tried”.

Without the additional classification, one can only track success with accuracy, not times when kids don’t potty. Important for the first
Could more easily pinpoint a schedule that works to catch their magic window after eating and drinking. The hardest part of potty training is catching the first time and that requires a lot of attempts which are necessary to record. Otherwise this is good for toddlers that have an established application of potty practices.

No sound

No matter what I do, the sound does not work and this is disappointing because my son got to pick which one he liked best and i though this would make the experience more fun. I receive a notification each time but no sound and the whole point of why i got this was to have a reminder with sound that would ensure we do not skip any potty times. Otherwise PottyToiletTraining is pretty awesome!

So far, so good!

Like PottyToiletTraining so far, a lot! Emailed a few suggestions. Duel function tracking (accident & voided) as well as possible graphing 😁 (I work in special education it’s just my own nerdiness liking graphs).. instead of “stopping” the timer perhaps “pausing it” so it shows a break in data if graphs come along.. like for naps and such... Again, my own thing 😇 But overall I’m happy so far

Simple & my 2 yr old enjoys it!

This is a simple and effective tool for me as a parent to remember to have my toddler sit on the potty. I wanted something that made a fun noise to remind us both and we could “mark” a successful potty trip that would travel with us. So long actual stickers! Love this so far!

Effective but has flaws

Great and effective app for potty training but every few days when I try to add a session it doesn’t show up on the log so I have to restart my phone to see my logs.

Like app

I like PottyToiletTraining . Would like to be able to see a break or line between each day in the history tab. That way the recordings of each day are easier to see.

Stickers

I think the stickers would be even better if the kids could color them in

Simple but effective

My 4-year-old was very resistant to potty training until PottyToiletTraining. The “stickers” are just simple line drawings but he is always so excited to reveal the next one, and he loves seeing his name and picture on PottyToiletTraining home screen.
***update: the reminder issue I had described below was resolved in a subsequent version. It’s perfect now! We no longer need it because my little guy is all trained, but he still sometimes asks for “the stickers on the phone.”

The only thing that keeps PottyToiletTraining from 5 stars for me is that the stop reminders function doesn’t always work properly. The scheduled reminders work great when you turn them on, but about half the time even though it says no reminders are scheduled, it will still alert anyway. Usually when that happens, I press “start” then “stop” again and they really do stop at that point, but my husband is using PottyToiletTraining on his phone too and that doesn’t work for him, the reminders just keep going sometimes. Seems like a bug that really needs fixing.

Really love this app

First day using PottyToiletTraining and my 2 year old didn’t have an accident all day! It’s only day one but I've been struggling with the potty trainings stage (new mom) so this was a huge!

Great App

So far I am doing a better job at taking my son to the bathroom with the reminders. The reminders have been a great help. I set the reminders to every 25 minutes, which has done a great improvement for my son.

Best potty training app!

Love the timers! Great if you have an Apple Watch. My daughter loves opening all her stickers at the end of the day! I’ve purchased 3 potty app and this one is my favorite! I would have to say, I don’t think we could’ve potty trained on 3 day without it!
