Will be considering canceling subscription soon and finding a new app. They ruined the stability of a good thing recently. The Invoices still don’t want to change names and keep it. It always reverts back to INVO###. And emails still crash InvoiceGeneratorApp . They said they have updates, but I don’t think they really did. Really seems like there is no testing being drone before releasing “updates.”

I’ve used this service for some years now and the service has gone down hill. I have reached out for support through InvoiceGeneratorApp , with no response at times. Reaching out through the website I’m offered excuses and a promise of updates “Next Monday” and “Join our beta” but never a solution to my problems. They have yet to solve the simple issue of creating an invoice and selecting and adding a current business in the list of cataloged businesses, to my invoice. I’m only offered the 5 most recent and using the search function doesn’t work. This is one of the few issues I have yet to get a response beyond “delete and reinstall”, which does nothing. Terrible service.

InvoiceGeneratorApp was great 3 years ago when I started using it. It was easily navigated, relatively intuitive and functioned as it should. Lately however…. I haven’t been able to send an invoice for a while now. The first time I encountered the problem I just put my invoice into an excel spreadsheet and emailed it to my customer. I then emailed InvoiceGeneratorApp developer, but never heard back. After two out of the next three invoices failed to send, I switched to invoicing through square. Now I’ve got to figure out how cancel my alto subscription because I’ve become to familiar with square to even consider going back.

I’ve been having subscription problems for weeks- I’m a paid user and have been since 2017. Suddenly, InvoiceGeneratorApp is acting like I don’t have a subscription and isn’t letting me send documents. I’ve reached out to the company through every channel they offer, several times, begging for support and I’ve been ignored. Don’t waste your money here if you want an invoice tool that is reliable and offers customer support. I doubt I’ll get a refund for the annual plan I paid for.

I’ve been invoicing with Alto for a couple of years, creating PDF invoices. The new version is barely functional. Only two invoice styles are supported for PDF, and their layout is ridiculous and not worthy of sending to a client. Logos are tiny at the top of the screen, and various text fields are tiny. My clients want PDFs, not web links.
I tried to connect Alto to Slack, and it just kept dumping me back onto the Slack login screen after being given access to the google account with which I log into Slack.
I have to resort to a spreadsheet app for now. Really surprised how bad this update is.

This is a lovely app that creates lovely invoices easily, and I really wish I could use it for my business. But unless I’m really missing something, I can’t. Here’s why:

- There's no way to mark an invoice as "Paid" (by cash, check, or anything else). The vast majority of my clients either pay me at the time service (usually via check) or mail me a check after receiving my invoice. If I can’t record those payments, InvoiceGeneratorApp is essentially useless to me, no matter how nice other parts of it may be.

- There doesn’t appear to be a way to mark line items as "reimbursable expenses", products that I purchase and the client pays for as part of the final tally. As of now they appear as income, which they are not.

I’d love to use for, and would totally pay for, InvoiceGeneratorApp if you could address these issues. The first one is by far the most important.

So InvoiceGeneratorApp is great but lately I just noticed that with the latest update they made the exported pdf look awful, besides once saved I can’t change the “Inv001” default name from the pdf, it doesn’t refresh it. Finally when you hit send email the email doesn’t get actually sent :/ so it is a shame since I actually like InvoiceGeneratorApp but with those errors I can’t recommend it. I will update my review once those issues get fixed

I’ve been using InvoiceGeneratorApp in the paid capacity for months now. It want until recently that it times out on me when creating invoices. I need to bill my clients and this happening caused me to use another platform. Not sure the longevity of InvoiceGeneratorApp if this is the problem it’s giving me after months of great use.

Update: still a great app, a few options I haven’t been able to figure out or aren’t available... 1. Being able to take a partial payment on an invoice. Thank you for the instructions I will check that. 2. Being able to attach photos (for mock-up approval)I need to be able to add the attachment to the estimate for approval. I make custom items, so I send customers an estimate/proposal for them to approve with an image of the custom product. They sign and approve, then I send invoice for them to pay. Is there a way to attach photos to estimate?

Alto offers a great mobile invoice service that's easy to set up and send out client billing. Invoice templates are clean, uncluttered and professional. They look great and clients like the design clarity, too.

I have used InvoiceGeneratorApp for nearly a year, and it's easy to track client payments when the client pays via a digital service like Stripe, PayPal and Square Cash.

When a client writes a paper check and it's sent in the post, there's no option to annotate invoice billing in InvoiceGeneratorApp to mark as having been paid. My only option would be to delete the invoice, but that defeats the purpose of how I keep track of client billing.

Support has been silent on this issue, having contacted Alto through their web site.

And while I mostly like using Alto, for these reasons I am giving it 3 stars. I hope that for future iterations, my concerns about manually marking invoices as having been paid by check will be resolved.

After a few years InvoiceGeneratorApp stop working, I already email for help, its been 3 weeks unfortunately no one had contacting me.
I would like to hear form Alto people.

Update: I worked with support and they were able to get me account fixed and I can now create invoices again. Thanks to James C. for his support!

I have used InvoiceGeneratorApp for years now to basically send 1 invoice a month. Went to use it today and it says I need to pay for a subscription at 11x times my last subscription which STILL has 6 months left on it and the fact that their website says that the current rate of my active subscription is a fixed price and will not change!! Now they are not responding to my emails about this.

This is the answer to my mobile business needs. InvoiceGeneratorApp is clean, concise, and does everything it needs to effectively.

For the longest time I have been dealing with Excel as a way of manually creating invoices as I didn’t find an easy to use invoice application that met my needs. Alto is just that with the aesthetics you’d come to expect for a well made iOS app. Thank you for all your efforts on InvoiceGeneratorApp and keep it up! You have me hooked

Simple, user friendly and quick! Perfect for the demanding workforce and economy when I'm in a hurry and need to get a customer a quick copy of bill, Alto lets me make a nice professional invoice to send at a time of my choosing! All around-Best invoice app!!

With the new PDF feature InvoiceGeneratorApp is amazing! I look forward to future updates and features, InvoiceGeneratorApp makes it so easy for me to do business and invoice my clients.

This is a great app, one thing I would like to see is an easy way to download a PDF version of the invoice, or just a better print style guide on the front end.

Currently if you attempt to print the invoice (Brandon template) you end up with an okay invoice. There are a few blank pages, and the pages don't split well.

Otherwise it really is quite a handy app for an amazing price.

Been in business for three years now I have tried every app out there for mobile phones, and nothing compares to this application and the timer app for ALTO,To keep track of your billable hours and times and also calendars is it must have to add to InvoiceGeneratorApp. Hands-down is the best I’ve seen it is very user-friendly and customizable to your needs as a small business or large business owner or Freelancer or Amy service tech looking to keep track of their time on jobs for their reports they need tj turn in for the Company they work for!

Alto is, hands down, the best iOS invoicing app.

I’ve been a freelancer for over 18 years.
I’ve tried 90% of the invoicing apps out there and not just “tried” but used in projects.

I’ve been using InvoiceGeneratorApp for a few years now and have been VERY happy; literally NO complaints.

However, the Timer app is a different story.. Too many issues each update makes me need to use the phone’s built-in timer (and sometimes i forget, which makes me have to estimate - and i hate doing that).
Please, please, please just build the Timer functionality into InvoiceGeneratorApp! 🙏🙏🙏

I would gladly give 5⭐️’s at every release!
