I wanted to brush up on my Topical Memory System verses I memorized 30 years ago to start off the new year. After I downloaded NavsTMS and paid the $4.99, I hit the begin button and it went to the Let’s Begin page. It was stuck on this page and would do nothing. My bad for not reading reviews before my purchase.

Having used the physical TMS for years, NavsTMS, unfortunately, not only underwhelms but proves as deficient as previous ill reviews attest. While an awesome idea, the UI looks like something from well over a decade ago, it lacks versatile custom settings, and upon purchasing and trying to set a User, the text box wouldn't even display the letters I was typing as I typed them. And then it proceeded to crash constantly as I tried to navigate to another page. Further, NavsTMS developer’s developer site doesn’t even exist. I emailed via Info > Feedback a review, but not sure how far that will go. And, yes, my iOS is up to date. The Navigators have long existed as an exemplary organization that provides vital, practical, AND functional tools for the Gospel. But NavsTMS is sadly a disgrace compared to the rest of their superb resources.

The system is good, but NavsTMS desperately needs to be updated. Seems like it hasn’t been improved in a decade. You cannot increase the font size and the user interface is clunky. The navigation doesn’t flow like you’d expect for apps in 2021 but more like apps a decade ago.

This could easily be a five star app if they’d hire an app developer to fix the UI.

I had Verse Minder which is no longer available. It was clunky, but at least had flash cards. Not sure why I can’t swipe from one verse to the next to rapidly review them? Also, I learned the last 12 in ESV (others in NIV84), and in VM I was able to set things this way for my review. That would be a nice feature to add here.

I really love NavsTMS for memorizing but with 57 year old eyes-the verses are in white and it’s hard to see. Also, I didn’t realize once I chose a version I couldn’t change it. NASB -I would like the NIV but have yet to figure out a way to change.

I memorized the TMS verses in college and was glad to find there's an app that pulls them all up. Could be much more elegant (sort of a Web 1.0 look and feel) but it gets the job done. Looking forward to having a friend memorize with me at some point so I can use the features for recording, sharing and playing games.

I love how you categorize the verses so that they are a help to witnessing and encouraging new Christians.
I do want to point out that on the topic of fellowship under new Christian life, there's a discrepancy in the two verses from the book and what you have on NavsTMS . In the book it says Hebrews 10:24-25 and 1 John 1:3 on the chart and the memory work in NavsTMS , it has Matthew 18:20 and Hebrews 10:24.

My parents learned the TMS verses in the 1970s, and they were among the verses they taught us when we were growing up. It’s great to find this system in digital form. Thanks for presenting it!

While an older design is fine with me, I’d really like to see this presented in more accessible colors. The light blue on light background is hard to read.

I’m looking forward to brushing up on section 1 and moving ahead to the later sections I didn’t learn as well when I was young. Having multiple versions is a cool feature.

Was working off of the NKJV cards until I got NavsTMS . 1Jn 1:3 and Numbers 23:19 have minor errors on the cards, which NavsTMS corrected me on. Recommended change: as I say these and check them off, I'd like the ability to uncheck any verses that I missed so that I can go back and review that week.

It has the Scriptures in a variety of versions(including ESV). variety of practice and study helps (my favorite the dropping of all but the first letter of the words). has a "record and playback" feature and an alarm/reminder freature.

Gets the job done and it is great to have on iphone and ipad

For older this app users a dark larger font is needed please. Maybe option to choose size and background too. As others said and option to add additional personal verses to a topic would be nice. Thanks for having all theses traditional packs on an app

As someone with a specific need for larger font or at least dark background, I’d like to see an option for larger letter size. Is there such a option? Could there be?

Thank you for creating NavsTMS. Could you add the ability to change a verse from MEMORIZED to NOT MEMORIZED? Sometimes we forgot a verse and need to refocus on it. Also, could you allow user to select the version for each verse?

Excellent for memorization. All learning styles of audio, visual, and kinesthetic(tactile) are employed. Of course a measure of discipline is required as memorization does not occur magically! Bottom line you will reap maximum benefits if you use NavsTMS with maximum effort. Be DISCIPLINED! Use NavsTMS every day even when you are drained! You are feeding yourself with the Word of the Living God!👍👍

I am finally able to memorize scripture.
I like the organized, plainly laid out format and the helpful activities that allow me to remember each verse. I have tried for years to write out memory verses on index cards but I would always lose them or forget to review. The review is built into NavsTMS.

I used to have a Topical Memory System tape I use to keep my TMS verses fresh but that is long gone. I found NavsTMS while sitting in a tree stand waiting for deer and instantly purchased and started reviewing my verses. This is a great tool to use along with my prayer time in the woods! Well worth the cost and I have found no problems with it whatsoever. A great replacement for my old cards!

Not a super cool design, but serves it’s purpose very well!! Love the feature that allows me to record the verse and play it back immediately to check myself. Highly recommend and well worth the 4.99 price.

I pitched NavsTMS, because years ago when I first became a believer in Jesus Christ, I was given a paper copy of this system to help me learn and memorize the Scriptures. Today, I am not only using NavsTMS to refresh my memory of these same Scriptures, but I am using it to teach my son the same Words of Christ!

This isn’t a flashy app, but rather a simple tool to equip the believer with Scripture Memorization. I believe that Scriptures engraved on a person’s heart strengthens the faith of that believer.

I use NavsTMS almost every day to hide God’s word in my heart, mind, and soul. The word of God is nigh thee, even in thy mouth. I have been using NTMS for my entire Christian life, almost forty years. I am forever thanking the Lord for this great system.

I first used the TMS system when it first came out NavsTMS is a fantastic review for me. I first learned all the vs in KJV but taught quizzing using NIV and NASB so I was very confused inventing my own version with parts of all those translations now a friend and I are using the NKJV as sort of an in between translation. She is doing it for the first time we encourage each other and test each other.
I am trying to get my grandkids to use it too.
Lots of activities for review you can even record and play back to see if you got a verse down or not. Get the whole family involved and see some real spiritual growth happening it gives you points for memorizing and reviewing verses.
