Every single time I have booked with this company I have had hotel issues or refund issues. The staff seems friendly at first but do nothing for you when you are in need. They don’t listen to your preferences on the phone and don’t even reward the refund! I have been put on hold for 30+ mins before or told “we will call you back” when in reality after 2+ hours you will have to call them back just to be told they couldn’t do anything for you. It took a WHOLE DAY to discuss if I could get a refund for a hotel that I canceled in the allotted amount of time on the app but them telling me I couldn’t?! Even though I was within the policy’s rules. I booked a hotel the had okay rating to find out I was put in a room with BED BUGS and I am told I am getting only half of my money back in travel credits whenever I asked for a full refund to my card. They disregard your preferences and try to just scam you out of money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL!!! They only want to screw you over!

Avoid Engine and save yourself time and money by doing so. I can not even get the login on the app to work to review my account. I have been quoted figured that were “negotiated” then took 6 weeks to have paperwork on, all of which was wrong/more expensive. No one owns up to their work nor timely in their response, unless them getting paid is concerned and then they will not stop calling even when you’re very clear on when you’re available and intent on your request. Being in sales, contract negotiations specifically, I hoped someone could take over that burden and let me be a bride. Not Engine. They aren’t even honest - they sent me a “we got it!” response when the agreement was in hand, but intentionally left out all the differences from the original agreement so I’d sign and hopefully never catch all the errors. Really bad business practices and very dishonest.

After talking to the sales person at HE, I signed up for an upcoming trip. I did not know this, but as soon as I booked the rooms, they billed me. After a couple of weeks, the trip plan changed by one day so called customer service to cancel one day on both rooms.
Upon arriving at the hotel, they moved one room and hotel canceled the other due to a “no show” and hotel engine’s cc didn’t work. We called customer service again and they said they’d call right back. No fun sitting in hotel lobby for three hours and several attempts to contact HE was a dismal failure. I then called and got two rooms at a different hotel and I’m still waiting for the refund from the original hotel.
