Love it

So much easier than trying to fine tune through the amp itself. You can tweak the hell out of every setting. Turn things off and on easily, save and name your presets easily, sync with your amp easily. All via bluetooth. It took a coouple of reboots on my photo to get bluetooth working, but all is well now. I just recently starting using the playback feature to isolate a portion of a song in my iTunes library and slow it down to 50% speed. Awesome. One star because you don't actually own the amp that MarshallGateway was specifically made for? Really?

Good idea poor execution

MarshallGateway is very convenient and laid out well. When it works it’s easy enough to use. That said there is legitimately less than a 50% chance it will work. You can use it and come back an hour later and it will not connect. You can be pair in your settings but MarshallGateway will not connect. Log out unpair the device as many times as you want it simply will not work. It decides when it wants to work

Loses Bluetooth Connection

I love MarshallGateway and it’s basic premise to be able to change the various settings on the tones and emulated pedals. But my iPad has to be within 2 feet of the amp for it to work and that’s super annoying! I usually will pick it up and make changes in it but I have to literally just have it sit on top of the amp for it to work sometimes. Pointless to have Bluetooth if I keep losing connection. Might as well just use a long cord to connect to the amp to the iPad. Pleas fix this issue!!

Bad Bluetooth connectivity

I would love to give this a better rating because the amp is awesome.. but MarshallGateway has the worst Bluetooth connection issues ive ever dealt with.. works for my i phone 6 but only if its within 2 “ otherwise it loses connection... so I tried using my ipad and it wont connect to the amp in MarshallGateway bluetooth connects.. but the amp isnt connecting in the scan for amp window... so your app is not compatible with your products... its driving me friggin crazy and i feel like ive been ripped off... anyway hope this issue gets resolved last update was in 2016. May just sell it and quit dealing with Marshall all together.

Great

Just bought the code25. I had to do a software update to the amp via usb and computer. I then was able to pair with my iphone and Ipad. However, my iphone with MarshallGateway still does not work. It will pair but app is frozen. My friends iphone and my ipad work great. It seems truly amazing what MarshallGateway and amp can do. Also to pair hold down 2 buttons on the amp. It will start flashing to pair. I can even use the riffstation app while using Marshall app. Hope this helps.

DO NOT UPDATE FIRMWARE

This is ridiculous. MarshallGateway has been broken for over a year. I bought a CODE25 and used MarshallGateway , and it was incredible over Bluetooth. But I updated firmware and it will not connect at all now. I've researched the problem because tons of people are having the same issue. Every time Marshall responds saying they're working on it but still there have been no updates. I even saw instances where Marshall representatives told them to return the amp to the store. I bought my amp with the intention of using MarshallGateway and there's been nothing done about the problem. Horrible customer service.

In Desperate Need of Updating

MarshallGateway is so outdated especially compared to the control app for fender products, which gets constant updates. When you tweak settings on the amp it doesn’t transfer to the amp. It’s also not that simple to navigate, it would be nice if everything worked properly and looked sleek. Please, please update MarshallGateway.

Better than using the amp, but...

Still a little clunky to manage presets between gateway library on computer, app, and amp.
REALLY NEED a way to copy the WHOLE phone bank to the amp bank. not just one by one. I don't want to manage amp and phone separately. If I shuffle presets on the gateway the sequence on the phone changes obviously, then the amp (and stomp switch) are different. And if I tweak on the amp, I want everything to go to phone/cloud.
I want amp and phone to match in case my phone is dead or elsewhere.

An auto-sync (that can be turned on/off) between amp and phone bank would be even better.

Bluetooth doesn't always connect.
iPad 2 does not even find the amp.

Phone/Message sounds come on speaker while playing.

Concept is great

Concept is great but MarshallGateway could really use an update. App offers the ability to tweak just about anything you could imagine. However it’s every confusing to use and my ipad and amp say they’re connected but MarshallGateway says it’s not.

Frustrating!

This would be AMAZING...if MarshallGateway and amp could stay connected, or if I could use my iPad instead of just my phone. I tried everything I could find online and it won’t connect to my iPad. I was forced to used my phone, but it keeps disconnecting, irritating when you’re trying to adjust settings for sounds and have to start over and over and over. FIX THIS CRAP!

Total Crap!

It might be nice to review MarshallGateway but it simply doesn't work. It won't connect to BlueTooth, and, yes, I've tried everything. Several different devices , still nothing. Love the amp with the 4x12 cab, it just won't connect so MarshallGateway gets a gigantic thumbs down. Better luck next time, I know you can do better than this.

Does not work

Do not waste your time on this. I have wasted hours trying to get this to work and it won’t. Marshall dropped the ball on this. I have tried everything to get this to work with my new code25 Amp. Do not expect this to make for an easy interface to control your Amp. All it does is cause headaches and frustration.

Problems on pairing

Currently almost impossible to pair with my code25 amp... also firmware update is not working on my macbook pro. Nothing to do as a mac user...

Bluetooth never stays connected

I find myself having to reconnect the Bluetooth to connect the amp to my phone. Takes 4 or 5 tries to get it to connect. Really frustrating because I am spending more time trying to connect that playing. Works fine when connected but below average.

Won’t connect

I like the amp, but MarshallGateway is terrible. It was really difficult to get it to connect the first time, and now it won’t connect at all. The Bluetooth settings in my iPad show the amp is connected, but MarshallGateway cannot sync. Which makes it worthless.

FIX BLUETOOTH

bluetooth is without a doubt garbage . works one day , the next nothing . sound is great for practice , until they update and fix their bluetooth stay away . will be switching back to fender after one week of ownership . bluetooth is terrible

Bluetooth issues

My phone a connected to the Amp via Bluetooth however app doesn’t recognize it or acknowledge it. Too bad because I like the concept and was one of the reason I bought my particular amp. Great amp btw

Works like a charm

Idk abt anybody else, but it worked smoothly for me

Connectivity is awful!!!

MarshallGateway works great... when it works. But he Bluetooth connection is ridiculously bad - if it can find the amp at all, it drops the connection so frequently as to be worthless. So frustrating!

By

Great App!

The functionality is great! My only complaint is that it doesn’t always want to connect to my iPhone 8 (11.3) and that I can’t set the tuner for Drop C#.

Constantly losing connection!!!

No fun at all when I have to stop what I’m doing to resync it to my phone. I lose momentum and jamming time because MarshallGateway craps out on me. Love the idea of MarshallGateway , would be so much better if the execution of it was on point.
