What’s the point of this app?

You pay like you’re supposed to but you still come back to a $45 ticket on your car. The app said nothing about putting something to display payment. Nor did it give instructions how to.

It’s 25 degrees out with a heavy wind, I’m in town for a conference and I’m wasting my time and health trying to download an app when I should just be able to pay a meter.
