Inconsistent product with horrible support

I have 4 of their cameras and it is just like the other reviewers have said. The cameras or their software will work fine for a while and then just stops working. After hours working on them, following their directions carefully over and over again and nothing works, you just give up.
But then what makes this company’s products really horrible is their lack of customer service. First of all, they will not help at all over the phone, no matter what. No, instead you contact them by email, wait a day or 2 for a response. The response is a form email that gives you the instructions you have tried several times that don’t work. You email them back that you have tried all that several times and the camera still does not work. They email back different instructions and they don’t work either. You beg for help over the phone but they say they can’t help over the phone. That’s it for this app customer support and you toss another one of their cameras into the garage.
Yes there are positive reviews, but I believe they are from those who just bought the camera and within a few months they will be throwing them into the garage too.
Any company who will not standby their products by providing telephone support deserves these bad reviews.
Please take the advice from me and other reviewers and do not buy this company’s products.

App help

I do just fine with the camera. I love it, but how the hell does one know what the settings are in app?
Yeah yeah went the the this app site and they provide a key for the icons on screen... I need to understand how set up the settings. I’m not an idiot but it’s not user friendly when it comes the settings. I want to be able to know how to properly use the alarm settings. Some sort of short description would help! Is there pdf somewhere ?

The reason for all the bad reviews is..

This is a decent app. It has a very basic interface. There is definitely room for improvement due to some feature lacking. The biggest issue I have is the tiny video overlay buttons, which are made worse by the fact that I have an iPhone X. Still, Wansview isn’t terrible. I am able to view, edit and, control my cams. - -The reason there are so many bad reviews, is because there are unintelligent people leaving reviews about specific cameras. Reviews here should be about Wansview . If you have a problem with a specific camera, this is not the place to vent. All you’re doing is showing the world how incapable you are of handling a simple tech project. Ask your kid, grandkid, or neighbors kid for help.

So many uses!

We initially bought this camera to assist with training for our dog who suffers from separation anxiety. We can watch her behavior when we leave and talk to her to help keep her calm. We realized that she stayed on our bed when we were gone, so we put a second one upstairs. We put two more cameras in our vacation house for the same reason and serendipitously found them to be effective security monitors as well. Easy to install, setup, and use. Very responsive support if you have any questions. Five stars from us!

Want another one

I do like this camera. Very easy to install and operate. The picture quality is wonderful. My only reason for a 4 ⭐️ rating is because when you are not hooked into your own WiFi you cannot use the camera away from home. I am just lucky to have WiFi through my cell phone but not everyone has that! I would recommend this camera! I am actually in the process of getting another one along with more for the outside of my home, which in fact you can view all of them with one device! 👏

Great Camera!

We tried a couple different cameras prior to this one and had lots of problems with them going offline and we could no longer access them without having someone go into the house and reset. Since we live in Florida and the camera is at our lake home in Minnesota, this was a real problem. But now we’ve had the this app camera online for six months and have never had to reset. We love that it can pivot around and give us different views.

Awesome app and camera

Been using for about six months now as a baby cam. Never have we had any issues with Wansview or the camera. I work overnights and am able to check in on my nine month old with out waking anyone up. The speaker works but not never loud and I never really use it anyways. The mic is super awesome. I use it when I am in my office to hear him if I am not watching Wansview . Also I bought an iPad just to use with the camera works great. I’ll be buying more

Good companion for their cameras

I am not sure why all the bad reviews. I have had their cameras and app for over a year and a half without problems. Their QR camera setup works awesome and quite brilliantly. Connection to a camera has never been an issue. It has all the features you would need in a security camera app. I have contacted their customer service once to ask a simple question and they responded with answer.

Two Camera’s “11 months and 3 years old” quit working all of a sudden.

We had two cameras both purchased at different times both just quit working. When the first one was purchased it originally had a 5 year warranty, they changed it to 1 year. The second newer camera, they were only
Going to offer us a fractional refund even though it was still under warranty. They tried to get us to write a 5 star review for a new camera that we had to buy first before they would refund a portion of it. That was how they were going to give us the refund. Bad business.

App keeps closing

For the past several days (probably since the last update) Wansview keeps shutting down. I use it to talk to my kid and when I press to talk a second time, it closes Wansview . I have to keep restarting it. It’s very frustrating! Please fix this problem!

Also I cannot get it to record onto the memory card. Wansview only offers me 2 minute recording or 15 minute recording times, however it always switches back to 2 minutes after I choose the 15 minute option. Not that it matters because it won’t record anything at all.

Only one thing

I have no real complaints about this camera. It works for our needs, records on the computer, let’s me see what’s going on from anywhere. The only thing I dislike is I can’t get a notification when there is motion. I set Wansview up to notify me and I see the time stamp in the message button in Wansview . But my phone does not actually ring to tell me there is motion. Other than that, very simple easy to use camera!

Microphone function has now been fixed!

This camera app is again working well! Thanks to the this app team for acting upon reported problems! (Recently, Wansview had been closing unexpectedly whenever the “hold to talk” button (used for two way communication) was pressed twice in succession.)

Most definitely

I bought these cameras not to long ago and they are everything plus more for the price. The controls are very easy to figure out on Wansview and running the multi camera system without homemade and a bunch of wires all over is sold for me.

Wainsview IP Camera

I’ve had a Wainsview camera for years . It’s wonderful because when we are away we can see ,hear and also talk to our dog if we need . I have Wansview on my phone so whenever I need to see what’s going on , I just open up Wansview and I can view what’s going on at home !

Would have expected better after email from company was good at first

This company’s cameras were nice but after you’ve had yours and a new coamera version comes out the one you own becomes a reject camera.
The work at first connecting to Wi-Fi and cellular the controller within Wansview works ok too but then one day the camera disconnects with Wi-Fi and never again through cellular and the control features within Wansview aren’t consistent. The 480 and 1080 resolutions just work one day 480 and then 1080 and when the camera decides to not work all together for you to reset you get a lavender lens like screen.

All of these happen on a consistent basis but not to be able to use your phone when initially it worked on cellular if not near Wi-Fi to connect to the camera —- well useless.

Would not recommend their cameras if you want reliable camera connection.

Customer service

I like the camera but their customer service is not that great they don’t answer the number listed I set my camera to motion they go to a file to view I can’t view anything it won’t open it states to open a google account I need help I messaged last Wednesday asking for someone to call me on my cell since I can’t get a rep it’s now Sunday still no call or reply

Save your money!

I normally don’t write reviews but I had to with this camera. It’s like having a toy gun that looks real. The guy before me said it best when he compared it to a lazy employee that don’t want to work and you have to stay on them.

It continues to go offline, when I need to check to see outside, it’s not working. I’m constantly resetting it and I’ve only had it a couple months. If you want to use it to scare people away, buy it...

Very Pleased.

I’ve been using Wansview with 5 this app cameras around my RV, inside and out, for the past 2+ years where I’m very pleased with the results. Except for a few times when Wansview didn’t recognize my cameras, where I simply exited Wansview , then clicked it again, I haven’t had any issues with Wansview , knock on wood.

Back On Wonderfully

Delete and Reload it like the 1st time. I am changing my review from 1 to 5 after Deleting & Reloading again. It was not able to connect for a while but I just thought about deleting and Reloading it again and It works perfect with perfect view and recording! Excellent app.

New User

Just bought the camera over weekend had the most difficult time setting it up. It would not stay connected to the WiFi and none of our other devices have any trouble with our WiFi. I eventually had to set it up using the the Ethernet cable. Once it finally seemed to be working. I get to work the next day and go to check on my pet and the camera is disconnected again. I live in tiny apartment, the modem isn’t even 50feet away and this stupid camera can’t keep a WiFi connection.

After 1 year going bad quality

I have 4 cameras. First when I buy it it was good picture on app on iphone, I have 1080p. After few months app start changing all the time to 480 so I needed to change it every time. Now, after 1y , when I start video picture is good and after few sec you can see how its changing to lower quality, but still show 1080, and it looks like 720!
Started to be blurry, not so clear like it was. Playing from sd card sometime close app, or just record 2 sec so I need to restart camera and format card again. So you never know when it will stop. Yes, I agree with all * negative reviews, My cameras also have purple, lavander,on the screen from the lenses. What Im gonna do with 4 bad cameras?!
App always quit when I want to delete recorded video from sd card.
