Great concept and service, only one small glitch

I have used this app before and this was my second time but from a new location. Great car.
Only glitch was in leaving and arriving from parking zone. The machine did not rad t he license plate so I had to ask for help each way, to leave and then in returning the car.

Excellent experience

Booked SUV for a ski trip in Spain. Everything was perfect, the car, the experience. Contacted support for a few times, answers were friendly and timely. Everything was by mobile app only. Like it!

Virtuo Bluetooth Transponder Failed

The Bluetooth transponder on the car windshield failed and locked us out of the car. We spent a few hours waiting out in the cold on a country road at night. We called customer service which sent a mechanic to open the car. All turned out well but I’d say this app blamed the whole thing on Mercedes was a little self assured. Once the car was opened it was Obvious the car functioned properly and the issue were virtuous keyless transponder.

Promising start - unfortunate ending

this app had all the elements of the perfect solution to clunky and inconvenient rentals. Smooth delivery, great car etc.

However, our rental car was booted / clamped for non-payment of back fines and violations that the company had for some time, and chose to ignore. After spending about 25% of my time in London dealing with this issue, to get the boot removed, I simply returned the car and cancelled early.

Poor back end service and responsiveness, and they seem content with that.

this app is an absolute joy to use- service is top notch on every level of customer service. Very efficient. Only drawback is lack of variety in the vehicles available

Used to be good but going down the hill

Virtuo is getting worse and worse. No way to find your car’s location or end the rental. And this is after using this service half a dozen times. Last time the tires didn’t have enough air and this time the car park was locked and the intercom service didn’t work. The customer service is very good and fast but it doesn’t make up for the poor app UX.

Non-existent Customer Service

If even the slightest thing goes wrong you are going to be absolutely stranded. We tried to use them to rent a vehicle for a week long road trip in Scotland, but we could not get the vehicle accessed. Terrible last minute thing to go through.

The developer has the balls to ask me to reach out to them, but I tried to reach out to them multiple times.

Using this app was a seamless process for renting my car abroad. The cost was half the locally-nominal amount and even allowed half day charges.

Underwhelming experience ,bumpy set up

No sure why my first review isn’t showing...Had trouble finding then returning car...phone ran out of batteries so had to go in to a shop and charge before could use again...car was a bit dirty as well although nice enough car but think I’ll stick to normal car rental companies in the future!

Get ready for a headache

Took 9 hours of back and forth before I gave up. My bank could not understand what the problem was. The customer service on the phone was awful and while the service via chat was friendly, they were completely unable to help with all the problems with Virtuo .

Sign up process way too long

I just want to see if the prices are even decent and if they cover the areas I frequent but you have to upload this and that and the ui doesn’t even auto grab the sms code. Wasn’t even sure if I could use Virtuo with my foreign license and passport from a 3rd country. Will stick with hertz and sixt who have solid premium cars just better to deal with an actual human especially when I’m spending $200/day sometimes 😂 also I like getting my Iberia or Bonvoy points and nothing in the sign up process gave me the confidence that I would get any white glove service esp after reading that 2 star review. Don’t think these people know how to provide top shelf Vip service quality

Virtuo Disabled My Account After A Seccessful Booking

This service just killed my account after I rent a car from them for 10 days and want to extend for 2 more days. For some reasons, my credit card needs international verification step to send back and forth SMS verification code to my phone, this is where the issue came from: after the redirect and successful verification, Virtuo sent me a confirmation. But later an email sent to me and said booking on hold because of anomaly. I contacted their customer service immediately, a lady told me my account is disabled and will no longer be able to use in the future because of I didn't follow their terms of condition. And in her original words: "You will no longer be able to rent with us, I'm afraid this decision from our security department is final and not negotiable." So then anomaly can cause nonnegotiable conditions, huh? Later check with their supervisor and got a response that someone else is driving so my order is cancelled, not because I violate the terms of service. So this does not even make sense. YOU DON'T DISABLE AN ACCOUNT BECAUSE YOU DETECT THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL DRIVER! In purchasing step there is a place that asked me "is there an addional driver" and I clicked YES! This service is so awkwardly designed and I don't recommend it.

Great design, but works only in some European countries

I was just about to rent a car today and I saw Virtuo. Great design and concept I thought and downloaded it immediately. I'm confused why is Virtuo featured in the US App Store if it only works in Belgium, France, UK and few other European countries? Am I missing something?

My experience was terrible. On return journey to catch a flight, we stopped to use the bathroom. The car wouldn't start. Eventually customer services got it going. Then when filling up with petrol near airport, the car wouldn't start again. We missed our flight and had to buys seats at great expense. Virtuo customer service isn't great. They offered £50 'rental credit' as compensation. Then eventually refunded my £24 booking fee 'as a gesture'. Clearly there are issues with the whole system. Avoid.

A horrible experience. I rented a car in Milan Italy and twice they sent me to the wrong Adress to pick up the car! They had no idea where the car was. After 45 minutes of waliking in the summer heat with my family and their bags, I was able on my own to find the car using the Geo Locator. To add insult to misery they offered a 40EUR discount on my next rental. Do not jeopardize your vacations! Rent your car somewhere else!!

Horrible company I wish I can give them no stars on the review. This is my first review in my life because they suck!! I booked a car for my family of six forty days before my trip to France. When we landed at Paris on December 25th, we took a taxi to their rental garage at around 6pm, and ended up looked for the car for almost two hours because they said they were certain the car was there. Finally, they admitted that someone else took the car that we booked 40 days before hand!! Leaving my family stranded in the middle of Paris on Christmas night. A employee from Virtuo offered me a five seats car but we had six people, they tried to compromise by trying to deposit me enough money for a taxi fee back to airport. By that time about it was already past 8pm on Xmas night, so we had to find a hotel in Paris. Then find another car from EuroCar rental, cancelled our planned hotels because we were late for scheduled location, we were planning to sleep at a hotel near Southern France for our first night. The worst thing they said was what happened after I sent them taxi receipt. They said they could not pay for it with out an explanation even though they clearly promised us that they would pay for the trip back to the airport for another rental. I asked a few different representatives, but no one responded until today, five days later. They made me spent an additional $500 for their mistake, and didn’t keep their promise for the $65 taxi credit. Save your $65 credit and keep you company name like this Virtuo. DONT USE A COMPANY YOU CAN NOT TRUST OR BELIEVE and RELY on. Date of experience: December 24, 2022

Non-existent Customer Service. Code received from Expedia did not work. No one to talk to or call. Main office number immediately hangs up even if you call 20 times. Total waste of time and money. Never again.
