In theory, Stopfinder is fantastic. It gives you a map that shows the location of the bus, and you can set multiple alerts so you can see where your kid is. When it comes to actually use, however, they have fall short. It almost never works, by which I mean it almost never sends alerts or shows the bus location. When it does work, it’s haphazard. Some alerts come through and some don’t, and sometimes you can see the bus and sometimes you can’t. I’m not even sure why I keep it installed on my phone. Sometimes I open it to try to see where my kids might be, but to no avail. Basically, it is totally unreliable, and I wish our school system would go back to using here comes the bus.

I’m so disappointed in Stopfinder. The user interface is nice looking and seems like it would be relatively easy to use BUT IT DOESN'T WORK. I saw the bus icon once …ONE SINGLE TIME since I signed up to use it. I get NO ALERTS so I have no idea when the bus is coming. Right now it’s just an icon on my phone because it otherwise serves no purpose. I hope another developer gets wind of this and offers a new working app because it seems the developers for this one have no interest in making it work. Not a single update or fix to make the dastardly thing work. 😒

The only parts that do work are the bus information & creating the zone on the map. Other than that, it’s pointless. The bus location is never available, there’s no way to reach out for help through Stopfinder other than to watch “how to” clips, & it’s just a waste of space, to be honest. If the geolocation worked, that would be great, considering that’s the whole point of the thing. Please fix this.

Makes life easier in a crazy year! If your schools haven’t yet, ask them to get the gps alert feature to let you know when the bus pulls on your street.

If you like looking at a blank white screen for 5 minutes, Stopfinder is for you. Otherwise, all it’s good for (when it actually loads) is just showing your child’s pickup and drop off times. Claims of it tracking the actual bus is so far nothing but false advertising. Hope our district isn’t actually paying for this.

I try to use this daily, but it is never accurate enough to even be useful. We would like it to be accurate enough to use so that my kids are not waiting in the cold for the bus for too long. I know the bigger issue is the bus time ranges 20-45 minutes late, but not sure if we would win that battle.

My boys have missed the bus many times because the bus is not accurately tracked and shows a delay. Some days it doesn’t even show where the bus is and the geoalert doesn’t work if the bus isn’t being tracked. Wish our district would go back to Here Comes The Bus.

Stopfinder never works. Don’t even waste the space on your phone. There is no way to know the location of your kid’s bus, and more importantly, your kid. I am stunned that the Prince George’s County Maryland Public School System uses it. The county and the developer should be ashamed. Complain to your county’s school transportation system and demand a change!

Most of the time the map page doesn’t load. If the map loads, then the bus location doesn’t load.
I’ve tried to use the notification but it never works.

I have no Idea why our school insists we try to use this. The GPS never works, and it is not user-friendly. You set up Geo alerts and they don’t work half the time. It’s complete junk. You certainly don’t want to depend on this to see where your child’s bus is at.

Doesn’t provide much information other than the bus route and the stop location. I liked the where’s the bus app better because it would tell you how far the bus was from your stop.

Geofencing doesn’t work, bus on map doesn’t work, app crashes continuously and doesn’t recognize user when trying to log back in…if it will intact let the user log back in! Idea behind Stopfinder is great….but the execution is garbage.

Nice idea, crap app. Hardly ever works properly. I wish my district would bring back Stopfinder we used to use or that the developers could get the geoalerts to function properly.

Cannot even log in. Entered the same password used during the activation but it’s still saying “password is required” and doesn’t allow to log in.

Is this application some sort of scam paid for by the school system? It does not work. Other applications do work. Contact your school system and let them know to cancel their contract with this company!

Our school district just started using this in August 2021. Even with alerts setup and the radius expanded, it’s not alerting parents to radius proximity as advertised. We are not receiving push notifications…very unhappy parents. Hoping our district finds a new app.

Completely useless, have had it for almost 2 months and only once has it shown where the bud is. Even with that it was delayed by over 5 mins. Not worth the hassle.

It’s basically useless. It never shows you the location of the bus and it doesn’t even send an left until 10 minutes later.

How a school could look at these reviews and choose to pay this company is beyond me. Stopfinder rarely works. And when it does it cannot be trusted because it only works 5% of the time.

Stopfinder is horrible! It hasn’t worked the last two days, and when it is working it is off by a couple minutes. I don’t know why my district chose Stopfinder to use.

App is worthless. The alerts do not work, the tracking is delayed by several minutes… and that’s if it even picks up the bus signal at all.

Wish Stopfinder included gps so we can track exactly where the bus is. The schedule doesn’t help when the bus driver is constantly 10-15 minutes late all the time.

Only lost password link and no response from customer service

I updated to the newest iOS and now the bus schedules no longer load. Please update your app.
