Bandmate Chromatic Tuner Reviews

Honestly, I love BandmateChromaticTuner, I am a clarinet player and seeing what BandmateChromaticTuner looks like on the bar makes it so much easier when checking to see if I am playing the right notes. Personally if I had to suggest anything it would be to have a metronome built into BandmateChromaticTuner so I dont have to keep switching apps. Other than that this is a great app and I would really recommend it

When I say I loved BandmateChromaticTuner I mean I LOVED BandmateChromaticTuner. I used it constantly to make sure I was singing on pitch, to test what high note I just hit, to test my range, etc etc. It made me a better and smarter singer. However, when I changed phones (Now an iPhone XR), it no longer lets me use it for voice (treble). Because the menu fits differently on this phone, it’s at the very bottom, beyond my reach. I can’t scroll down, it just selects whatever instrument on the side I hit. I’m disappointed because I miss using BandmateChromaticTuner but because of one tech mishap it’s become completely useless to me. I’d gladly rate five stars if this was fixed but alas it is unusable.

It’s nice… for most of the basic instruments, i play trumpet normally but I switched to mellophone and I cannot use BandmateChromaticTuner any longer because there is no mellophone option. And I also wish that you could add stuff onto the key signature so you can exactly play what you need too instead of having to switch back and forth between sharp and flat keys. Overall, BandmateChromaticTuner worked great until I got into harder pieces of music with different instruments that were not on the list. Great for beginners though.

No other app lets me put my baritone in treble clef 🎼 and BandmateChromaticTuner actually does! I actually just started playing baritone and I was playing trumpet so the switch was weird for me because I kept playing too high. BandmateChromaticTuner makes sure I don’t! It’s incredible! I love the wide range of instruments it lets you chose from! BandmateChromaticTuner will help you! Totally recommend and totally worth it!

I really like BandmateChromaticTuner , it’s really good. The only thing keeping this from five stars is the sizing on some screens. For example, I have the iPhone 12 Mini, and I can’t get to the Voice (Treble cleft) because it’s off the screen.

I’m a 6th grade beginner brass player I play cornet and when my music director told us about BandmateChromaticTuner it changed everything! I set this on my music stand every night when I’m practicing and it helps me learn my different notes and pitches on my cornet! I would recommend BandmateChromaticTuner to anyone like even my bff who plays flute she even used BandmateChromaticTuner so does her twin sister who plays clarinet!

BandmateChromaticTuner so far has worked great for my trumpet. But when playing French horn or Mellophone it goes from sharp to flat in seconds at a time. I’ve changed settings to try and get a better outcome but haven’t gotten one. Used an actual tuner my director has and I’d be in tune while not in tune on BandmateChromaticTuner . But again it did work for my trumpet so 🤷🏼‍♀️

I would give BandmateChromaticTuner a 1 star. However, the problem that I’m experiencing is probably only due to the phone that I have. In order for BandmateChromaticTuner to hear anything I have to be practically 1 millimeter away from my phone. So, that makes playing very uncomfortable and hard. I have an IPhone 6. I would recommend trying to see if BandmateChromaticTuner even works on your device before getting excited.

This has changed everything for my beginning band students. They are able to see for themselves whether or not they are playing the correct note. They all have it on their phones on their music stands in class.

BandmateChromaticTuner is amazing for guitar tabs if u want to find out how to play any song this will work buy just singing into it it helps with singing and how to find out how to play anything u want I would use BandmateChromaticTuner. It should be be 10 stars ⭐️

I was always looking for a tuner like this one for a whole year , nothing never really helped because it wasn’t for my instrument a French horn. BandmateChromaticTuner helps a lot, ex I wasn’t practicing while but then I’m able to use BandmateChromaticTuner to back on track for sound..?

Im a trombone playing student of around 4-5 years and honestly BandmateChromaticTuner is a life saver. I noticed that my trombone sounded a bit wonky earlier and I don’t have my own tuner and BandmateChromaticTuner worked perfectly. I recommend it

This has helped me so much as I’m a beginning trumpet player. Since “COVID times” started and we can’t go back to school, Bandmate has been like a private tutor, helping me get the high notes that I sometimes struggle with. 5 stars!

I have been using BandmateChromaticTuner for a long time but just recently BandmateChromaticTuner has been telling me that I didn’t allow it to access the microphone. I did what it told me to do and went into settings and i saw that my microphone was allowing Bandmate to use it. It wouldn’t let me use BandmateChromaticTuner because it thought the microphone wasn't on even though it was.

Can’t scroll to select instruments anymore. Used to be the best app for tuning and practicing on a wide variety of instruments. Now it’s limited to whatever shows up on my screen. Guess my band is finding a new app.
Looked for a link to report a bug. This is not a new app, so I am not too surprised that the only feedback is in ratings.
This used to be my favorite go-to most recommended app.

So I am a 6th grade band student, my band teacher recommended this to the class. I got BandmateChromaticTuner and I saw amazing improvements!! BandmateChromaticTuner supports Trombones which I like because all the other app I have tried doesn't support trombones or even brass instruments. I am very pleased with BandmateChromaticTuner . Hi, I’m 13 years old. I would like to give BandmateChromaticTuner a 10 out of 10, but I have a quick question. Does BandmateChromaticTuner examine vibratos, and riffs and runs? Thanks for understanding.

This wasSuggested by a band teacher for my classroom and is help me out so much she uses it in class because we’re not allowed to have our phones but it honestly has help me so much knowing the right notes and stuff like that good job

My band teacher recommended BandmateChromaticTuner for when we are playing at home it helps me a lot with learning new notes on my trumpet so I can make sure I have the right pitch!

My friend recommended BandmateChromaticTuner to me because I didn’t know if I was playing the correct notes. This helps me a lot because I recently started playing a new instrument and I need to work on my partials and this works!

I’m the lead alto in my band and I have major insecurities when it comes to sound, notes and myself, so this is very useful because I use it to compare the note it shows on the bar lines to the note I need to play on the sheet music. So yeah, Awesome~Sauce!!👏😎

I love BandmateChromaticTuner. It can tune so many different instruments which is so helpful because I play many. I find this pretty easy to use and pretty accurate. Definitely recommend to any music lovers 💕💕

I tried so many other tuners for my drum set 🥁 piano clarinet even though it doesn’t have drums it was the only one that worked for my clarinet everything worked for my piano but NOT MY CLARINET!!! I’m so glad this actually works

Like for real, BandmateChromaticTuner is the bombshell that directs you in selecting your embouchure. Yes you know your fingerings but, bandmate will tone your ears to all notes. If you’re a beginner or you want to improve on your sound , download and see for yourself.

I think this is a pretty good app. It would be nice if this had a Ukulele setting though. Also, sometimes it has a hard time picking up the sounds for bass. But..over all BandmateChromaticTuner is great!

This is an awesome app! I use it all of the time. I just have one question. Is there any chance you can put the ukulele on there? It would help to tune it.

Bandmate is the best app I have seen. My band teacher recommended it at a lesson. It has a lot of instruments that it works with, but I needs some other instruments.
