Great app, just needs offline support

I tried all the “read it later” apps and this one is by far the best for a niche purpose I care about: finding items I’ve saved to my library. The folder + tags option is excellent, and the search feature is far better than pocket (even pocket pro). I am happy to pay for quality apps. This is ALMOST everything I could hope for from this sort of app.

The only drawback is that it doesn’t have offline support. This makes a huge difference; today the 4g networks all went down. I haven’t found a better way to store websites offline and also organize and search for links in a systematic way. I would happily pay for an “offline pro” bundle or something like that.

Besides that, Raindropio is honestly so much better than pocket in all other ways. It is consistently faster to find articles I saved a while ago and access themes of links I’ve saved to revise a subject.

Easy, powerful, fast

Raindropio is the best way to keep bookmarks across all of your devices and organize them really well. Or you can just toss them into boxes and search later, your choice. Once you get it set up and get used to it it’s so much easier then trying to synchronize between iPhone, iPad, Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc. I switch browsers a lot for different reasons and Raindropio is a lifesaver!

Updated review: great app

EDIT: Developer fixed all issues. Great app.

Raindropio was best before update. I could easily tag items using app’s autocomplete as you type feature. Now there is no facility to easily navigate and pick the right tag from a unwieldy list of tags. Using this update will contaminate your tag list (like tags with typos, inconsistencies, etc).
Please bring back tag autocomplete feature.

Good app…one missing feature

This is a great app. The most annoying thing is that when you add a link, the default collection is always “Unsorted” collection. Instead it should default to the previously added named collection that I created. I should not have to manually select my specific collection every time I add a link (will re-rate this to 5 stars if this feature is available)

Just what I needed

Great app for managing bookmarks as well as any desktop manager.
You can do multiple deletes, adds or moves. It works very well and is simple to use IF you go ahead and read the directions. Raindropio has made bookmarks useful again, especially if you have multiple browsers. My thanks to the developer.

Raindrop fixes what Apple forgot

BEST

Why is it so hard to save a bookmark in an organized folder on an iPhone or an iPad? Do Apple developers not have a series of folders on their phones?

It always seemed like Apple stopped developing iOS bookmarks... it is just very difficult to find and retrieve saved “bookmarks”. Saving is easy, but if you have 10,000+ bookmarks how do you find anything?

The Little App that Could

Raindrop seems like such an innocent app and extension … yet it’s a mainstay of my daily workflow.

I use it everyday on every device (Mac, iPhone, iPad, sometimes web) to save articles and their relevant notes.

And the newest update with highlights is a pleasant surprise. It’s even on iPhone! I also just noticed a little pet peeve of mine has been fixed: when opening the extension on iPhone, the notes text box no longer shifts to the left of the preview image. It’s now full width! I’m happy.

Raindrop is one of the very few apps that feels like it’s worth more than we’re actually charged.

For iOS devices, you NEED to support perma-authentication!

Developers, please fix this terrible “feature”.

Non-web users are on a trusted device, locked with touchID and Passcode. Don’t make us log in regularly! Build a dedicated authentication endpoint for devices, instead of sharing the web service.

It’s EXTREMELY annoying to have to re-login while you’re trying to add something through the iOS action sheet.

Great

Fantastic app, only issue is the kind of confusing app icon. It’s basically the One Drive logo, which makes no sense. You would imagine an app called raindrop would look… like a raindrop… but no. It’s more of a cloud… or 3 upside down raindrops… I guess.

Anyway I’m rambling, it’s a great app. I’d change the icon though.

Love!

Love Raindropio. Been using a couple years now. Organizing, searching bookmarks so easy and useful. Really like the way recently used tags are at the top so when you’re researching a specific topic, adding those tags again is so easy.

Seems to be great app, just started using it.

Hey guys am giving your app an trial period of next 5 months. If it helps me thorough out my last semester I will think about upgrading to pro. But seriously seems to be a good work put in design and usability. Keep it up there is no way Raindropio is not reaching millions within an year.

A solid bookmark manager

Raindropio is a really good alternative, if not better than any other „read it later“ or bookmark manager app, even on the free plan. Happy with it, especially with the recent updates.

Glad to be back!

I checked out Raindrop a long time ago but went with a different option. I came across it again and I’m staying this time!

Nice app to organize seldom used bookmarks

Heard of Raindropio recently, and it’s pretty good to organize bookmarks I’d like to keep around but don’t use on a daily basis. I was using Notes app, but this is much easier to find things with.

On initial install, Raindropio would not go landscape, but an hour later it started working fine.

Keeps on giving

Wow, thanks for the unexpected addition of Highlighting. Using a Safari extension to add this functionality was a stroke of genius and takes Raindrop from ‘nice to have’ to ‘only game in town’.

By

Absolutely Necessary

Raindropio allows me to sync bookmarks and images across all my accounts and devices! It may seem small but for someone that works online Raindropio is a godsend.

Best Bookmark App

The customization of Raindropio is better than all of the other major read-it-later apps. Shoutout to Brian Jenks for suggesting this wonderful app.

Gotten so much better over time

At this point in time Raindropio is a no brainer. Absolutely critical for me and my bookmarks.

Promising!

This team has got a solid start on their hands. The UX of this bookmarking app is one of the most pleasing to use these days. I’m a bit frustrated by some of its shortcomings, though—most especially the inability of the iPad app to work in the multitasking modes offered by iPadOS (split screen, slide over).

Please add!! & read!!

First of all, very good app. There’s tons of websites out there, and Raindropio takes care of em perfectly. Matter of fact, you don’t even need to subscribe, as the free version doesn’t take away from what you came for. One thing that needs to be added is a drop and drag for folders!! when you edit and go to sort theres a manual option which says drag n drop soon, but thats only for bookmarks!! please do the same for folders. Also a clear all in trash would be great as well.

Not useable

I wanted this to help me manage my bookmarks and was expecting a standalone single pay application. Sadly this is not the case at all. It is impossible use this application at all without signing in to some other site on the Internet and than pay for a subscription. 1) I refuse to use any application that requires customers to sign into some site on the Internet. 2) I have no desire to use a simple application such as this that uses subscriptions. For applications like antivirus that use a constantly updated database this is different and acceptable, but not for what should be a simple application.

Fine app, but Safari extension has become unreliable

When Raindropio (and it’s essential Safari sharing extension) are working, it’s a great bookmarking app. However, with the latest release, the extension disappears after a use or two, requiring a device restart in order to reappear (then disappear again). Hopefully the devs will fix this critical issue soon, or it will be time to look elsewhere for your bookmarking needs.

Great app, just what I was looking for

I want an app to save all the services I use and articles I read, but Pinboard isn’t quite right for me. Raindrop is just what I want. Nice visual layouts and customizability, and a paid option for more features and to make sure it sticks around. You can also share specific collections with other people, which is really useful.

My only complaint so far is I’ve had a couple crashes, but nothing too major. I imported over 2,600 bookmarks from Pinboard and it crashed the first time I ran after the import, but after that it’s been pretty solid.

I’m a paid pro customer now. I recommend it.

Love the new update

The new update makes saving links much easier and faster!

Share sheet Is missing

No longer shows up in safari.

*** Update February 8th 2021

Works sometimes and not others. If I restart the phone it will work for a few days but it never stays.

Sometimes it’s not there and if you hit cancel and try it again a second later it shows up.

There’s something wrong for sure because before this last update it was rock solid.

Great App. But absolutely no support at all. Don't waste your time with Raindrop.io. If you come in to trouble there is no support available. I recommend Ninja Bookmarks as a very good and reliable alternative and there is support available.
