This is probably one of the worst apps I have used that I wish would be rewritten because it is such a great idea. It’s slow, buggy, crashes and the UI is terrible, but it has so much promise if only it were taken seriously by its development team.
THETA is completely unusable. It freezes when trying to export every single time, no matter which option I choose to export.
You can only import images directly from the camera. I edit my images in Lightroom and then I will email myself an image I want to make a tiny planet to myself then save to my phone. However, I cannot import it into THETA. Why? Apparently the developers never talked to photographers when making this. Very frustrating.
I have over 650 photos in my phone. When I click ok to have access to my photos, it only recognizes ONE photo. Makes no sense. That photo is from 2011 and is in the same file as the others
On my iPhone 11 Max which has 12k photos in my library THETA takes about 1 minute or more to load.. I love the features when it’s loaded however when I edit a photo and hit save the OK button to dismiss the dialog doesn’t work .. I hope they can address theses issues .. otherwise this would be a 4-5 rating!
I have tried to use THETA. THETA has tons of potential. Sometimes it works and does a decent job, but most of the times it does not: does not load images, cannot recognize photos. Disappointing.
It needs a lot of work from the developers.

As subjected it’s always failed to share to photo album. Also easily crash when edited with more options. THETA definitely need to be debugged for better stability
THETA looks and sounds rlly cool but for some reason i can see any photos from the gallery in there. Its just a blank screen.
It’s a pretty nice app and it’s effect is better than other app I’ve tried. It will turn a photo into a short video. However, THETA is very slow. Also, when I try to open photos from my iPhone X, I can only open some photos from my phone. Most of the photos in my phone don’t show up in THETA .
If you could just combine to 2 photos and adjust the speed even slower then 1-2seconds and had a standard cross dissolve transition I’d say it would greatly improve this feature 500% will immediately switch to five stars if and when this becomes available 🧐🙏
I’ve had THETA crash on me a couple times in the middle of editing, but I’m a patient person, I know not everything is perfect. I finally get the edit done with all the transitions and angles along I wanted along with the timing that I want but when I go to save the video the timing on the transitions are way off (It happened to me twice). There is potential but there are plenty of bugs that need to be squashed
Does not open photos on iPhone 8 Plus....only six photos show up in THETA :(. Really cool app and I wish I could use it. It’s not usable if I can’t get more photos to pop in.
I wanted to make my video 360 but when I click the videos tab there is nothing there I just got THETA so it could be me not knowing how to work it but I’m deleting THETA for now I will install if it works again thanks bye
THETA is the best for still images. So easy to use and works with both of my 360 cameras.
The new update is a huge improvement from the previous version!
The ability to edit animated clips from a still image is awesome. The key frames are super helpful too. The only request I’d have about that is to make the transition between key frames more seamless. Also to the developers: there is no way to add the included stickers to hide the tripod. The current version doesn’t allow you to tilt down in the edit mode with the stickers. This is a minor complaint really, THETA is overall a strong 5/5. Thanks!
BRO THETA is so good, it is the only app that I could find that TRULY does 360 videos not like those fake ones I 100% recommend THETA
Those who are complaining obviously don’t know how to use THETA and are griping before they actually take any time to learn it. I love it!!
I use this with the sphere function on my dji spark. I get these awesome interactive panoramas. Much more to do with them. I post them onto Instagram and people love them even though Instagram always lowers the video quality 🤦🏻
I am recommending THETA to a drone forum I chat on.
This is the only time I've noticed an app on my phone has updated and I've rushed to leave a review. The custom animation features are exactly what I've been wanting and far more robust than I would have expected. It's very intuitive I love that you can change the time between points AND choose the acceleration curve.
It launches into the tutorial the gives you a blank whit screen that says albums and nothing more. I can go back through the tutorial but there is no way to select a photo to process.
One one photo shows up in the album to choose from....a lot of potential for THETA needs to be fixed
