Disney Emoji Blitz Game Reviews

I’ve been playing this game for well over 2 years and I have dropped some serious cash on this game. However, just recently DisneyEmojiBlitzGame has had some major changes.
1. The most recent download doesn’t allow for the actual app to open. It just opens to a blank screen and then crashes. This seems to be a regular issue since this has happened with other downloads within the last 6 months.
2. I completely deleted DisneyEmojiBlitzGame and reinstalled only for all of my purchases to disappear. THANKFULLY I had this connected to my Facebook account or I would’ve lost everything.
Side note: what was REALLY annoying and a waste of time…I had to play through beginner levels and step by step directions for over 30 minutes before DisneyEmojiBlitzGame would go to the main screen to allow me to log in and then reconnect to my actual account and not have to start all over. It was an awful experience!
3. This past Halloween (2021) DisneyEmojiBlitzGame had special Halloween games with special Halloween emojis that normally a customer could purchase. SECRETLY the developer decided that the only way a customer could acquire the special Halloween emoji would be through playing the game non-stop and spending a bunch of money without telling regular customers like myself. The only way I found out: I contacted customer service and had been told this new method was decided by the developer. THIS IS WHERE BEING A LONG TIME CUSTOMER has made me re-decide where to spend my future time/money.

I downloaded DisneyEmojiBlitzGame tonight and promptly deleted it from my device out of fear of unwittingly spending way too much real world money. It’s just too complicated. You earn one character at a time who each have different powers within the game which are apparently not the same as power ups. There are opportunities to get free emojis, but you have to go to the emoji “store” to access them. I feel that DisneyEmojiBlitzGame should be redesigned to significantly clarify what is a reward screen and what is a purchase screen. I’m 39 with a graduate degree so if its confusing to me I can’t imagine how much could mistakenly be spent by a much younger user. The tutorial of how to play is not very clear either, but if you are already sucked in there are several sites that offer step by step instructions including how to set up your emoji keyboard complete with the warning about how DisneyEmojiBlitzGame wants “Full Access” to your device and this may include personal information that has nothing to do with emojis...Um Hard Pass! I don’t understand why Disney can’t just straight up sell emoji collection (s) without being all big brother about it. I am disheartened by the level of shadiness in DisneyEmojiBlitzGame. I am still a fan and will still be a consumer of Disney products, but think people should know what they are signing up for and this is definitely a case of buyer beware. It’s a shame too because I think it would be awesome to have the emojis for my next visit to the park.

I will be sad to admit, I have been playing this game for 3 years. I’ve seen a lot of good changes, but I’ve also seen a lot of bad, and this new wave of changes by the new company have all been pretty frustrating. Some of the emoji’s powers are glitchy and don’t work; the games will glitch and take away all my progress on events, the customer service gives itself a window to reply within 48 hours so if the event ends before they fix your problem you are just out of luck (they didn’t even answer me the one time I got frustrated enough to ask for help).

The most frustrating thing of all is that they have made it impossible to finish any events without spending money. This new event requires you to have specific emojis at a specific level before you can play it. Since buying emojis is a lottery(that rarely ever gives you new emojis), who knows how many times you have to buy a box to level up, the only way is to buy a diamond box and if you don’t have enough gems, you have to spend your own money to buy one. I know this is one of their ways to make revenue, but that is just a snake move because the company knows it’s power and uses it against its consumer. If you guys want more money, I’ll gladly watch more ads, heck I might even download one of those instead of playing this.

BOTTOM LINE: Don’t bother downloading DisneyEmojiBlitzGame if you don’t plan on spending money. The developers won’t allow you to make SATISFYING progress if you don’t.

So I’ll be the first to admit that I can’t stop playing this game and it’s super addictive. I also don’t spend any real money on games because I would rather spend my real money on things that I want or need in real life. For those actually buying things with real money I feel sorry for you and I would not suggest it.... but I understand why they have you do this since the developers rely on that to find the game (simple economics). I just keep the in app purchases blocked on my iTunes account to prevent it. That being said it can be a fun game but after a few months I have the following gripes:
1. I get the emojis that you need for the challenges (except for the villains one) but it’s super annoying to get nothing but duplicates and you might get one additional new character for every 15- 20 characters you purchase. It’s a waste especially since you have to earn 15k or 30k coins fir each character. No chance to get new ones!!
2. For the challenges and for the items you have to collect: it’s super frustrating when you simply just need one item to beat the task and it doesn’t appear until after you’ve wasted like 15 games to receive the one item..: other items appear and you simply don’t get credit for them since they’ve been completed. Suggestion: when that’s the only item we need have that item show up in the game we’re playing so we can go on to the next board.

I get this game has been around since 2016 so they need to cater to those long timers, but if you’re just starting you’ll never feel a sense of accomplishment w/o spending lots of $$$. I played the game 3 years ago, a lot fewer events and emojis, you could feel like you were getting somewhere. Stopped playing bc I got busy & not playing enough so felt like I was getting nowhere, picked up again during the pandemic and in the last year I’ve spent at least $300, if you don’t play for at least an hour or two everyday you won’t complete events. That to me is encouraging addictive behavior. 🤨 It was much better with a new event maybe every 3 days or so. Now they’re on for 5 days 24hrs off then another event with new emojis. It’s too time demanding, you’ll never feel like your getting ahead & it’s just discouraging. Plus I’ve done rainbow falls events 🌈 where I use the 2x emoji PLUS boosts and have still failed requiring $$$ if I want to not lose all my progress. How do you lose using all the boosts? One time with a more item boost I saw fewer items than my previous play with NO BOOSTS. Also THREE times I’ve purchased a flash sale with a diamond box and DisneyEmojiBlitzGame crashes and I never get the emoji. They refunded on the 1st but the following 2x they DENIED my claim 👎🏼

I've been playing this game for years, and I used to love it. But ever since the game got sold to Jam City it's just a cash grab. Most of the events now are impossible to play unless you want to shell out money to buy "exclusive" characters. It used to be that anyone and everybody was able to join in the events. They were a fun way to earn special characters, especially if you didn't have enough gems to get exclusive diamond box characters. Now, you have to already have exclusive characters to play? Oh, and the only way to get them is through the five dollar a piece diamond boxes. It's corporate greed, plain and simple. It's no fun to see that there's a cool event and new emojis, but then see that you can't play unless you pay.
Beyond that, it's next to impossible to get new characters from the silver and gold boxes. The company claims it's random and you have an equal chance of getting any character in the box. Then how did I get five duplicate emojis in a row, when there were more than ten emojis in the box that I didn't have. I even got the same character twice in a row. It's frustrating when you work hard to build up enough coins to buy an emoji, and then you get the same one for the fifth time.
I still love the concept of the game, and the actual game play is fun. But I've become so disappointed and frustrated with the blatant greed from the company that I can't enjoy it.

I have loved this game for a long time, and now that Jam City owns it, it’s even better with special challenge games almost an everyday event. HOWEVER, I’m angry that, after the first round of some events, I’m shut out from continuing because I don’t have one of the only 3 emojis that are allowed to play on!!! That’s just wrong!!! I’m fine with requiring certain emojis to get extra points, but to be completely shut out is just no fun!!! What makes it even more frustrating is that you’ll get one of those 3 emojis if you continue! But I can’t continue!!! The only way to keep playing is to try to “buy” one of the 3 emojis, which sounds easier than it is. You need 200 or 300 “gems” (which takes months to accumulate 2, 3, or 4 at a time) to just buy a “chance” to get one of them! You can work for months to accumulate 200 gems, then spend them all, but you only have a chance of getting one of the 3 emojis you need. Right now, I could spend 200 (I only have 85), and I only have a 15% (2 emojis) or 20% (1 emoji) chance of getting an emoji that will allow me to continue to play! NOT FUN!!! If your goal, Jam City, is to try to force me to pay real money, forget it!!! I could spend real money and still have no guarantee of getting what I need!!! I’ll quit altogether, and spread the word about your tactics, before that happens!!!

This game is highly, highly addictive for me. I absolutely love it. However the new version has too many side quests and goals to be met etc. it's just too busy. The villain maps are enough of a mini game. The addition of a "deluxe wheel" was pointless, and having it pushed on you in pop-up form is annoying.
I also really wish they had changing backgrounds for the game board - Perhaps made it customizable. Some emojis look very similar in color to the backdrop and become hard for me to make out. The addition of all the new emojis and the new categories of them is overwhelming. Too many side characters are present that no one cares about or wants to collect. Some of their powers are also confusing. Using the emojis powers as another form of mini game would be more effective if there were more of a pause for instruction before the timer kicks on each time. Time bonuses should be longer. I like that watching a video gives you 3 free lives instead of 1 and I like that you only watch ads to be rewarded and they don't pop up, but do expect lots of in-app purchase offers. Perhaps a social element could be included with our own customized, Disney-inspired emojis? This would allow for app expansion without overwhelming users with so many "side quests." Also, make it optional to buy a random emoji or pick your own, or opt to level up an existing emoji.
Those are my only notes. Otherwise, this is literally the perfect game. I adore it.

I have very few games on my phone but I love this one. Lifelong Disney fan so it’s more fun than matching candy or desserts. I appreciate that it has daily challenges, tasks to do, as well as a battle at least once a week. HOWEVER, I’m not crazy about the following: 1: The only way to get diamonds is to spend real money. ((It would be nice to have the option of spending the coins we earn in the game for them because...)) 2: There is no option to choose which emoji you are buying with the game coins. Some tasks take certain emojis which at times you have the option of buying in diamond boxes ((aka real money)) But then just have a 25% ((If that)) of getting what you want/need. There should be an option of selecting which emoji we’re buying. If not for the silver, definitely the gold & diamond. 3)) This ties in with 2 but there have been many times while spending game money or real money that instead of getting an emoji I want/need, I just level up one I’ve had. I’m all for leveling up but let the players choose when to do that such as with the rainbow lightning bolts ((which is admittedly another new feature I like)), selection of emoji ((see 2)), or simply playing past a certain point with the emoji ((as I have with many of mine)). Overall a fun game that I’ve played off/on for awhile. I definitely see marked improvement since I started. Keep up the great work!

I absolutely loved this game the first time I played it. Two years ago, I got DisneyEmojiBlitzGame on my iPod and it was glitchy! and it made me furious because it would take me out of DisneyEmojiBlitzGame and reboot and I had to start all over again on earning emojis. All of my hard work earning coins, was a waste of time. I was furious and rated DisneyEmojiBlitzGame 1 star rating. I wished there was a zero star rating but it wouldn’t let me do zero stars. I told the company about this and after that, I deleted DisneyEmojiBlitzGame . Then, on my birthday, I got an iPad Mini 4. I figured out that my iPod was glitchy even if I deleted that app. It was just glitchy because it was a old iPod! I told the company of DisneyEmojiBlitzGame that it was OK and that I figured out that their app wasn’t the problem my iPod was glitching! Then, my iPod shut down and never turned back on. I never could get it to work. and so I never used it anymore and got rid of it. Then, I got DisneyEmojiBlitzGame on my iPad... and guess what?! It turned out to be the most awesomest, most interesting Disney app! I totally recommend it now that I see how much smiles it brings to peoples faces whenever they earn a emoji.
It’s so awesome that my mom got DisneyEmojiBlitzGame too! We have had so much playing the game and I totally DisneyEmojiBlitzGame is awesome without having to deal with the problems of my iPod. I’ve had DisneyEmojiBlitzGame ever since then. It truly is a app I won’t delete again.

I love this game but there are not clear instructions, how do I level up? I've been stuck on level 6 for quite some time. It says 5/6 missions complete. What's the mission? how do I complete the mission? what do I have to do in the mission? How do I get to the next level? It's also very frustrating when I'm moving faster that the game can think. I'll move so I can put 5 together and I move to fast and the game doesn't register that the 5 went together and no star. So I slow down and my points suffer. All and all I like the game. I like the idea of the game. However there are a few things that need improvement. As a life long Disney fan I will continue to play, and keep my fingers crossed that the next up grade will include clear instructions and direction for how to advance. All and all it's cute, my kids love it.
Also, generally in games where you don't die, you can play continuously, in this game, you have to wait for more lives. I could understand this if you could live through a mission and advance to the next mission with the same life. However that's not the case in this game. In most match games if you have limited time and then it ends you have infinite lives. This is also something that I don't like about this game.

I’ve loved this game for as long as I can remember having it…13 minutes 😝 but I have to say.. the quality of this game isn’t bad, it’s amazing, and you can get brand new emoji’s! I would seriously recommend DisneyEmojiBlitzGame to all people who see this review. But then again, I did want to talk about a bug I have been having… It might just be a me problem but I’m gonna say it anyway. So when I downloaded the game it said it would take at least 5 minutes to download. So then I was like “ okay I can wait 5 minutes “ so when the 5 minutes was up it still wasn’t ready so I went away for a second and when I came back like 10-ish minutes later it said it wasn’t ready yet. So it still is loading when it said your app is ready so I open it and it said “ I’m sorry Disney Emoji Blitz is having technical difficulties come back in two minutes “ so I did and it said “ welcome to Disney blah blah blah so then it brings me to the loading screen and I get to play but then it says the technical error thing AGAIN for like the 5 TIME and then I go to settings and it says “ you have to put on notifications for DisneyEmojiBlitzGame to work “ so I did and it starting to work again and that was it…😐😐😐… Idk what the glitch was but it’s gone now.. but I’m pretty sure it’s just a me thing..but anyway I seriously recommend this to all people because it really is a amazing game. So here is the deal if you download DisneyEmojiBlitzGame..YOU ARE NOW AWSoME and if you don’t… YOU ARE STILL AWSOME!!!

Disney emoji blitz is just amazing because you can type something but when you go to emojis it has all the emojis already collected in Disney emoji blitz and is so cool it has expressions which I think is amazing and they have been like Mickey Mouse wearing a Santa hat it’s so cute I love all the new ones they are villains and superheroes and Mickey Mouse Pixar movies and something Disney movies and so cool I just like the way they made DisneyEmojiBlitzGame can you show us what you have and you can tell your friends to download DisneyEmojiBlitzGame to get it on emojis and it’s so cool to see who has what emojis and it’s just amazing I don’t get why anybody would not like it because of how much fun it is everybody’s pub we’re just gonna love it when they get it it’s just me Izzy and if you delete DisneyEmojiBlitzGame you still have the emojis which is pretty cool and I just think everybody should have DisneyEmojiBlitzGame because it just makes giving emojis so much fun and it’s free so you don’t have to pay for any of the emojis you get so it’s so much fun and you can add them to your text and I just think you should download it right now to see how you like it and write a review if you love it or if you don’t I’m not gonna say anything but it’s just see if your self download it right now Disney emoji blitz.

Update: Changing my review from 4 stars to 5 stars! It is refreshing that the folks behind Disney Emoji Blitz actually make changes based on users critiques. In my case, I recently noticed that the mission I couldn’t pass because I couldn’t collect the right emoji was changed! So now I can move on!

I enjoy playing Emoji Blitz. The extra challenges are fun when they arise, and I enjoy the Daily Challenges. That’s mostly what I play now because I have been stuck on a mission for well over a month because I will no longer use 20 gems to bypass it since I don’t have the required emoji. That’s my only beef with this game. Don’t require a mission to be played with an emoji we don’t have and is impossible to get. I tried getting it when it was a lucky Gold Box day. Didn’t get it or one of the other supposed lucky ones—twice! I’ve used 200 gems twice to get the wand that guarantees a new emoji. Still didn’t get the emoji I needed. Maybe next time I’ll be able to use a wand in combination with lucky gold box and finally get that darn emoji. But it is so hard to save up for those gems. I know, I know, if I don’t want to pay to play then I shouldn’t complain. This complaint is minor though. Other than that one little thing, this is my favorite game for sure. I’m just getting a little bored with not playing new missions.

This game is fun and my wife and I really enjoy playing together and try to one up the other. As far for in app purchases, not a big fan of that but I understand that the developers want to make a profit from their fun game.

I don’t have anything negative about the game itself it’s more the bugs and glitches that cause frustration. Mainly that anytime me I get a call or ‘pause’ the game and open up another app (like music, safari or even photos) and still keep emoji blitz active in the background by the time I come back to the game it freezes and then my phone becomes unresponsive. I have to lock my phone and everything dims for a few seconds and then I hit the lock button again and then my finishes closing out. I then have to unlock my phone and double click the home button to show all active apps, close emoji blitz out completely, and then relaunch the game in order for it to work again. The whole thing just takes about a min or two, but it’s quite aggravating. And this happens on my wife’s phone too. We both have iPhone 8s and we notice that this game has been out for a few years already so just wondering if anyone else is having this issue and if so, are they fixing the problem.

Otherwise the game is fun and worth getting.

This game is super duper fun and addicting. You can get more and more emojis on your phone or a iPad and I mean who does not want Disney emojis on there phone or I pad . I think people love the Disney. So I would recommend getting this. I know people love sugar crush too so it like that but with emojis. I think people out there like you reading this should get this game and it is even free you just download and it amazing. I have read the reviews and it say that you have to spend your money. But the thing is it not and also it does not glitch it might just be what you are playing on like your phone But if want extra gems or coins you might have to play a little bit of money and This Disney game is not a shame it is fun and addicting. But I just want to say I think it amazing and that is my opinion but I just think people don’t have anything good to say about the creators like this girl or boy shame them for making this bad game. I just want to remind you that if you don’t have anything good to say don’t say it!!! But other than that I think that is amazing and addicting and free and not glitchy so I really do recommend DisneyEmojiBlitzGame to people out there. So people out there reading this please get this game cause it is all true and if you don’t it okay because it your opinion

So I love this game! It is addictive and a fun twist on match three games. Most games like this are impossible to play after you get to a certain level. But you progress through levels by completing goals! There are literally no ads ever unless you want to spin the wheel twice. I also like that there are always challenges going on and new emojis to collect! I especially like that they are all Disney! And the actually are in your phone! To send to people! That is great! I have couple suggestions: I do not like that you can get duplicates of emojis. Sure if you get a duplicate it levels it up but you can do that by getting high scores. Next please make the diamond boxes less gems. 200 is outrageous. What about 50 gems? I am against in-app purchases and in my 5 months of playing this game I have never gotten a diamond box. Last complaint is please make the challenges easier. I have only won Jafar and that was cause I had Jasmine unlocked. Please make the challenges easier or extend the time. One last thing I like about this game is you can play it forever. There are always new emojis being added or a new challenge or a new high score to beat. Last thing the Disneymojis are ADORABLE!!!!!!! 😍🤩 I just made Disneymojis up! Over all a I love this game! And thank you for taking the time to read my review!

This is a wonderful game for the Disney fan in all of us. It’s a simple, fun, game that’s great to play when you have a little down time, or really want to advance a few levels in one sitting! The nice thing is you don’t just get to play the game, you get to win emojis of your favorite Disney peeps! They then act as stickers you can send in texts and posts and whatnot. It’s been a game I’ve enjoyed for over 3 years, and continue to enjoy as they have new challenges all the time! It’s truly the only game I play on a regular basis! The one downside, is this is a game with add-ons. In order to really get specific character emojis, you may need to spend a little money... and speaking honestly, it can get a little frustrating because you still could not get the emoji you desire, as it’s essentially the purchase of a blind box... you just don’t know exactly what you’re going to get. The other thing that is a little daunting, is the power level of the emojis... it’s says there’s up to 3 power levels, but they need to upgrade about 19 times in order to max out... to me, it should just be 19 power levels then... but I’m not a gamer by any stretch on the imagination, so it could be a standard thing in games, I'm not sure... 🤷‍♂️ But all in all, it’s still a lot of fun and always changing & growing! It’s a game I recommend for light Disney fun on a daily basis! 😁

I have been a very big fan of this game for a while now and I think with this game should be like one of those big popular games like Toca World or Roblox I mean not really Roblox but I don’t know Fortnite made me I don’t know one of those weird sheep you see when you’re watching her playing a game I don’t know sorry I’m using this voice microphone thing so the words phone exactly be how I want them to be oh yeah or away without just change on the mountain bike shop still they are right Anyway back to the review I don’t know why it says my mountain bike shop right there but anyway please developer of the strain told think I’m saying stuff like my mountain bike shop are you still are in this keeps making me want to do it anyway so yeah I love baby Yoda baby Yoda is better than this game actually I will keep talking about how baby Yoda is better than this game I’ll keep talking about how giraffes are worse than elephants but that’s very off-topic anyway so the voice microphone thing is actually very not helpful because as you can probably read it’s horrible anyway anyway why I was just eating some SpongeBob drawbacks in there actually delicious this is a sponsor for SpongeBob fruit snacks and pop tarts what about some popcorn and 2% milk and yeah this is pretty off topic isn’t it Yep pretty off topic anyway I don’t know why the ratings are 4.7 out of the five reviews on here but get it it

The maleficent event is the nail in the coffin of my patience with the gem collection system. In order to advance through the event, I have to be able to purchase one of the three fairies in a diamond box. This requires 200 gems. This wouldn’t be a big deal but unlike coins which are earned every game, gems are only earned through the occasional prize or by chance on the free prize wheel, and even then it’s a piddly amount. To top it off anytime you need to extend your game so you stand the chance of achieving an impossible goal, it cost 20+ gems. This leaves those of us who enjoy the game high and dry if we don’t want to pay to play. Everything else about the game is wonderful. You can experience the full realm of gameplay without paying. Everything except the exclusive emojis that only come during an event and are always locked behind a diamond box. Even just increasing the reward on the free prize wheel to a reasonable amount would make it that much better.

Update: this is the second time I’ve received a quest to use an emoji I do not have. I did not realize that there was a muppets event and as such did not get a muppet that way and every time I try to get just one muppet I get something else. I already explained I can’t afford to do anything with gems and yet here is one more example of why the gem collection system stinks-buying away quests that you absolutely cannot complete.
