I tried the free version and thought it could be really helpful so I bought DSM5TR . I don’t know if the developers just got bored half way through but this does not reflect the entire DSM 5 which makes it pretty useless. I’m going to guess it was made for providers who do not already have a mental health background or a working knowledge of the DSM.
New version does not include the quick reference tabs to diagnostic criterion. Very disappointing. I want the old version I originally bought.
This may be a great app. I have no way of knowing! The first time I tried to open it, it asked for my user name and password. Since I have not yet established either, I have no way to log into DSM5TR . I am not very tech savvy, so I may be missing something obvious. Feeling frustrated!
Do not buy DSM5TR. It’s very clearly a misguided scam compared to the actual dsm app. The decision trees make no sense. Complete waste of money and I absolutely regret purchasing this. -US Psychiatry resident.

I am a new Music Therapist Professional and was hoping to use DSM-5 for my private practice. Music Therapy is an evidence based practice and my only wish is that it was recognized as a health care option on DSM5TR.
The decision tree is nice but I was also hoping to be able to see the criteria for each of the disorders (maybe I’m just not figuring it out) but there does not seem to be just an option to see the DSM.
Several errors must be fixed in the next update!
DSM5TR is great and allows me to stop using the book and carrying it around all the time. However, the UI is just very outdated looking. Would love to have dark mode added also.
I just purchased access to the content. I have the book but it seems easier to access the decision trees here than combing through the text. On the site, I noticed, after paying, that it said something about subscription. I hope this is not a subscription, otherwise, I will have to cancel.
The decision trees and the explanations of how to apply them, the guides about not closing diagnosis prematurely, will help, I think, clinicians at every level.
