There are many things this app has to offer: itβs gorgeous, it is the first Nav app which works with the CarPlay dashboard, it has cool features like Dash Cam and HUD. But a Nav app is ultimately only as good the accuracy of its directions. Sadly, Magic Earth is pretty awful β at least in the Detroit area. On my first trip, it instructed me to use a road that was closed for construction and then told me I was at my destination when in reality I was not close.

This app is normally 5 star but now itβs extremely unreliable with iOS 14.2, with no GPS signal detected. Unfortunately Iβve had to revert to other GPS apps. It works fine when not using CarPlay, but since I updated to iOS 14.2, Magic Earth is only working 10% of the time. Not sure if itβs a issue with the app or iOS 14 (even though iOS 14 in general has been very poor and extremely buggy).

Great app and I like that this uses OSM as its basemap. However, the app needs more traffic data information to give more accurate estimations for time to drive to a destination. Recently, Google Maps correctly predicted 45 minutes for an identical route that Magic Earth thought would take 90.
