Needs two adjustments

The original version of EMSRetail gave a prompt for a tip on the signature screen. Now it is on a screen that appears prior to the signature screen. I much prefer the original version! I work in a service that is traditionally tipped, but it is awkward for me to directly ask the customer if they would like to tip. When the tip prompt was on the signature screen, those who wanted to tip would do so, and those who didn’t want to could simply sign without directly rejecting the suggestion to tip.
The second adjustment that I would recommend is to show the transaction date for each transaction on the history screen. The original version had the date and it was convenient for me when it came time for bookkeeping.
Otherwise, EMSRetail has been working well for me for many years!

Manual charge

I am using EMSRetail 4-5 years everthing was work perfect but since couple days manual charge doesn’t work something wrong on EMSRetail please fix it

The worst management ever

Downloaded EMSRetail for my small Business made a transaction for $250 they send me a email 8days later ask for my customer information for them to verify it took 12 days A week after that The same customer made made another they made him verify again four days later I think everything is clear no it was not they wanted to see my inventory I sent pics three days later another email for me too provide my Address again I am done with EMSRetail do you not waste your time The worst App EMSRetail needs to be shut down and also reported to bbb and many more

Very Disappointed with company

I’ve been with EMS for aprox 4.5 yrs and ive recently requested my rates be lowered. I’ve been loyal and have over the years referred others to their company. EMS will not nor will they lower the rates. It’s only increased steadily over the years! I used to highly recommend? I no longer feel this way! I’m now looking to move my business elsewhere! I’ve stated using Venmo and have been very happy with “ no changes incurred” with them. The only reason I still use EMS is because some don’t have Venmo. I’ve encouraged them to sign up with them.

Integration

I love this company and as a 2A supporter have no plans on going elsewhere. But the phone/iOS app is lacking. When I am typing something and the phone makes a suggestion that is what I am trying to type, instead of inserting it over what I have already typed it leaves that part and insert the entire word attached to what I already typed. Very frusfrustrating.

Ridiculous

So, after signing up, I began using EMSRetail to process cards. Then I get a phone call saying they have to contact the bank and customer from my first transaction to verify info. Until they can do that, my funds are “on hold”. This is utter nonsense and is the reason I am going to cancel.

Not working & rude not helpful customer service

Constantly had issues with it connecting, they closed my account and never even notified me!!! On top of it the customer service was disrespectful and condescending 👎

Best App & Company!!!

I live outside the 50 US Continental States but in a US Territory and EMS the only phone credit card swipe/company that I could use for my small mobile business. They're AWESOME!!! I've tried Square and a few others and none worked for me. The customer service is also great. It was easy to apply for my swiper, just as easy to setup and connect my bank account. And any issue I had, customer was quick to help and really friendly about it too!!! I'd recommend EMS to anyone especially to entrepreneurs just like me.

Oh, and getting my money in my bank account was fast and easy with a very minimal fee. It's worth it!!!

I like it..

I'm a hairstylist and I use EMSRetail for all of my daily transactions.. I love the statements I get and price is unbeatable. I do wish that there were more options regarding the tip prompt. If you'd like an option to tip they pre list tip percentages.. I feel my clients just click the 20% tip button and it ends up being much less than they used to leave me. I also wish the inventory would sync between devices. I entered all of my inventory on my cell phone while I had time at home and when I got to work to cash someone out on my iPad there was no inventory listed. Other than that, the system is incredibly easy to use and I'm pretty happy with it.

Decent, Could be better

Overall EMSRetail is a lot better than what some companies offer, though there are improvements to be made. The user interface is nice, but EMSRetail doesn't always work properly.

The most frustrating thing is that during poor cell service EMSRetail will say it's offline; even once there is a sufficient connection and EMSRetail appears to be online, transactions will not go through. In such a case you must force close EMSRetail and try again, very frustrating especially when the client is not present and you must manually key in the card for a second time.

Additionally, when keying in numbers you must use the onscreen keypad and not your physical keyboard. If you use a physical keyboard the numbers will show up but somehow things just don't work right.

Bluetooth connectivity with the swipe, chip, and contactless reader is less than stellar. Sometimes the only solution is to force close EMSRetail , restart the reader, and try the transaction again.
