I’ve been trying your app again for a about 5-6 months now. And today I allowed the app to update, and in the devotionals I noticed the STUPIDEST CHANGE YOU EVER MADE. It’s a daily devotional, but I can no longer open a month and pick a day: say, go to January and pick January 7. That option is no longer there!! WHY THE HECK NOT?! Are you now gonna force how I read devotionals?! So I pick the first January date I saw, the 23rd, hoping I would get to move back to the 7th, but NO! There’s all kinds of random dates under my selection. I don’t have have a clue what you call yourselves doing but you often create grand screw ups. Don’t try to guide how I read a devotional. I don’t want you directing me randomly or by topic. I went back to the old EGW app where it makes sense.

Bugs/The missing feature list:
- [important!!!] search should not automatically navigate to the first result until a search result is selected as it does still in app version 5.0.1. Just by doing a search you can lose the spot you were reading for a search result that may not even be relevant to what you were searching for. If Google used this behavior it would be like doing a google search and having Google automatically open the the website in the number one position for every search even if you accidentally typed something that was a completely accidental and embarrassing, etc. Not a good idea.
- in the old way back version, there used to be tabs so you could have more than one reference open at once. Without tabs like this it’s very cumbersome to do comparisons between two locations!
- when scrolling vertically down the page the scrolling is not smooth but laggy and jerky.
- the original old app had publisher info for each book at the beginning but is not here now so there’s no way to tell what year a book was published. Very useful if you want to know if it was published while EGW was still alive and capable of reviewing it.
- when I migrated to version 5.0.0 the word titles to all my bookmarks got erased (don’t know if the migration tool was fixed in 5.0.1 but those title are still not restored.)

I had previously rated as 5. I used the app for some time, had highlights and notes and bookmarks, then one day, everything disappeared. I could not see any books in the collections screen, nothing was accessible. I had to delete app and reload and lost everything even though my log in was the same. I love that it has easy access to all books and collections, allows highlighting, notes, and you can email highlighted text or whole chapters. Was a great resource but with this most recent issue, I have lost a lot of study efforts that now would need to be redone starting from scratch.
If you do use this app for all its advantages, I suggest you keep your study notes and page locations etc in a Written folder so you will not lose them.
