Splid is easy to use and very helpful - used Splid on a recent girls trip. For example, when I tipped the tour guide - I was able to add that tip immediately to the Splid then everyone on the group saw the charge and their portion immediately. Yes, we could all manually track group expenses then figured out who owes what to whom but Splid is easy to use, all expenses are visible to the entire group at anytime then easy to settle up. I highly recommend to use Splid for any group travel!!! By using Splid, it’s much easier to enjoy the trip and not worry about group expenses!!!

My siblings and I just took our octogenarian parents and their friend on a trip to Europe. We’ve done this several times in the past and the accounting has seemed like a full time job for one or two of us. This time we discovered this app! It saved us so much work and headache! Everyone felt confident that the expenses came out right. That was important since we are all on a budget but wanted to do this for our parents. It was easy to learn too. So awesome! Thank you.

My girlfriend and I split expenses, but I usually pay for things at the time of purchase. I enter those purchases into this app. She’ll forward funds to me periodically via Venmo, and enter it into Splid. This has worked perfectly for our needs, and I really like that expenses can be split in ways other than 50/50. It’s quick and easy to use. We know where we stand at any point in time. I tried another app before this that did not meet our needs because the options weren’t as robust. I highly recommend Splid.

Have only used once so far, and specifically for a group trip, but brilliant on all aspects! Four different people, but with multiple expense entries that were only for two or three people (as well as majority for all four). Also, some expenses were split evenly between people (whether two, three, or four), but a number had specific allocations based on dollar amounts (eg, for meals) or percentages - all of which were very easy to do. Highly recommended.

With a couple tweaks, it would be amazing. I do have the paid version but some features I’d like to see:

Saving tax rates - like I have a different grocery and a general sales tax. I’d like to be able to select taxes instead of having to calculate them myself outside of Splid and then adding the expense. Sometimes I need to add multiple items and THEN do the tax rate per item (some being general, some being grocery.) But there is zero option for taxes. With that, maybe also a tip line for restaurants?

Also the ability to mass select and delete or categorize things would be excellent. Sometimes i forget to add categories when adding an expense and being able to do
So for multiple expenses at the same time would be excellent.

Otherwise - Splid is the easiest and most user friendly budget app I’ve used. The paid version is worth having the categories.

Visited some friends and this helped me track our expenses. I appreciated having Splid and not having to add anyone else and just being able to manage everything within Splid myself.

Using the free version, I can’t speak to the paid version but there were a few things on there I would appreciate having the functionality for.

We travel as a group often, and thought Splid would help us as the three of us each booked different parts of our trip.

Unfortunately, Splid doesn’t seem to be able to handle more than two members properly. Some of the things were split three ways, and others just two ways. Splid allowed us to spilt it evenly like that.

The biggest problem is that the amount owed to other group members are not accurate - at all. In our case, Splid was hundreds of dollars off for one group member. It just shows total out put, minus total input, which doesn’t quite solve the problem...

This is great app! We used it for a girls trip. Five ladies, each paying for something for the group. Really liked the feature of selecting how many and who was needing to pay for a particular expense. We bought wine at a winery, but one of the ladies is not a wine drinker. It was super easy to have that expense split 4 ways. I also really like the summary report that shows what everyone paid for and owes.

I traveled in Europe with my sisters for 2 1/2 weeks. We decided that I would pay for whatever, enter it into Splid, and settle up at the end. So easy to use and the sisters could quickly see where the money was going. Just set it up again for another trip with just one sister. She’s new to international travel and bad at math so she’s grateful for Splid , too.

Used Splid for the first time on a trip with 5 people. Splid made it easy to keep track of spending. I like the fact that any member of the group can input spending and not leave it the responsibility of one person. Since we were traveling internationally the conversion to dollars helped. I will definitely use this for my next trip.

Super easy to use and settle up even for complicated cost splitting. Our group was 8 travelers arriving and departing on different days with multiple rental houses and cars and mixed activities and meals. Receipts were easily logged and assigned to different participants on the fly. Created a clear picture of both the total expense of the trip and the final settlement amounts to bring the costs to an even balance between everyone.

I was always the one to tabulate and settle up manually, tracking, converting to pesos and back. The first trip I used this app made tracking swift and intuitive, even sometimes sharing expenses among only some of my fellows. Reconciling was finished in moments. And a lovely expense summary makes my inner bookkeeper very happy. I’ll also have an easy reference for budgeting the next trip based on real historic spending habits.

Just used this app to track a trip to Italy. One couple for six weeks, two couples for five weeks, and a third couple joining us for two of those weeks made for tricky accounting. We used both our traditional spreadsheets and this app to track expenses including exchange rates etc. this app was faster by a factor of probably 10, easier, and more accurate than our spreadsheet.

I never review apps. But we just came back from a weekend w friends where some people were at some activities, some drank more, etc. after searching and trying at least 5 spreadsheets online, and 2-3 other apps, this one finally did the trick. Easy to use. Easy to customize split fees. Best of all - didn’t require me to submit everyone else’s emails to do the task.

I have used Splid to track group expenses on a number of vacations and I think is is great! Quick and easy to enter the expense so I don't even need to keep the receipt. Love how it tracks who made the payment and then the summary report at the end of the trip clearly shows the split between payments and expenses per person. No more arguing or second guessing.

I take a lot of trips with multiple friends and this makes expenses so much easier to keep track of.
On our trips each person purchases different things some split between two people on the trip, some split between all, this app keeps track of everything and tells you who owes who what $ amount at the end. It’s great.

I cannot say enough good things about Splid. As a CPA, I will see always the group accountant for all our frequent trips. Figuring out who owed who what and which expenses were split amongst which parties was a nightmare. It would take me days to get it all sorted out at the end of the trip. Now it’s a piece of cake. I recommend this app to everyone

App is fine, doesn't ask for personal info or contact access which is nice. The droid free version allows multi groups while free ios does not. Does well for its use, just not sure why the dif. Dev was prompt when I emailed about this, but his solution did not fix the issue. When i receive an invite to join a second group I am prompted to purchase the upgrade.

We were 6 travelling for 10 days and it was so easy to key-In and read information about our purchases. You can between all the members or select only the one involved for a given purchase. Wonderful.

It would be nice if new/added expense categories showed up when a new group was is created, or maybe you should a lot more categories that cover a wider spectrum of expense types. Also, a notes section for each expense would be REALLY nice. Otherwise, pretty useful app…got us away from using paper for day-to-day shared expenses.

Splid made splitting costs of a recent group trip very easy. We could all access the same group from our phones, and Splid did all cost splitting calculations for us. I would highly recommend this for trips where multiple people will be slitting costs!

Went on a girls trip this past weekend and used Splid. It could not have been easier to download, set up and implement. It cuts out on the hassle of who paid for what and who owes who as it’s all done in app. My sister, the accountant, checked the math and found it to be spot on. Can not recommend enough!!!

for our trip. Splid is very intuitive, everything I wanted to do was easy to figure out. It also perfectly handled expenses in two currencies. All without needing to sign up for anything. Working offline is ideal when your trip is mostly a dead zone.

Our 6 person trip to Edinburgh was easy to split costs, even without sleep and running on only acohal Splid was easy to use.
Would love to see an option for attaching receipts and sort expenses by date filter.
