G Sight Laser Training Pro Reviews

I’ve been using this product consistently for 3 months now. Every night 30 minutes to an hour. The laser module (bullet) that’s inserted into your firearm seats well and does what it’s supposed to do when struck by the firing pin. I’ve never had an issue with the device firing the laser. The issue lies in the software, GSightLaserTrainingPro . It’s terrible, there’s no other way to put it. GSightLaserTrainingPro recognizes and records maybe 20% of my laser hits. I’ve followed the instructions as to setting up the target in the cameras viewer letter by letter and still have this issue, running GSightLaserTrainingPro on a iPhone X. I wish I could throw GSightLaserTrainingPro out of the window but that would mean I have to throw my phone. I also paid for the paid version thinking the free version had limitations, no GSightLaserTrainingPro is just terrible. I will not recommend this product to anyone.

I purchased this product in, 9mm, 40 caliber, and my 45, along with the stand and phone holder.
Upon receiving them, the units I purchased, the unit fir my 9mm was non operational out of the box.
I changed the batteries, and tried everything I could to make the unit function, but to no avail.
I then contacted the company, via their website, to let them know of my issue, with no response after several inquiries.
I then took to social media to address my concerns, in hopes that I’d be able to get a simple defective exchange, and in fact exchanged information with several people, also providing a copy of my invoice.
In several attempted follow ups, I was told I’d be contacted by a person by the name of Brian, whom I was told he would call me to address my concerns.
Again, I followed up, via the Personal Messenger, along as social media, and in response, the company took it upon themselves to, “BLOCK” me, which then removed my comments from their social media comments.

Now, as a result of these actions, I have no other choice but to pursue, other means of satisfaction, to get a simple exchange.
I will be notifying Better Business, and possibly other resources available.

This company willfully and blatantly refused to address any my dissatisfaction, in obtaining an exchange.

Great product, terrible app. It only picks up some shots, adds non fired shots randomly and if you purchase the add on timer and unlimited shots you will see this functions even worse as it will not record the final shot and defeats the purpose of timing and splits. Come on G-sight...if you are gonna charge these prices for the hardware update and correct GSightLaserTrainingPro so it’s actually usable. Anyone who ever shares this with a friend will only help deter the potential for another customer due to the horrible interface. I am returning this and buying from a reputable company.

When you spend a few hundred dollars with a company for a dry fire/laser training system you’d expect to not have to spend $5 in GSightLaserTrainingPro to unlock a “shot timer” and “unlimited mode”… I ended up buying 5 cartridges in different calibers… Spending roughly $500 on this setup it’s annoying to have to spend money in GSightLaserTrainingPro that’s clearly sub par. My products arrived today. Within 10 mins I downloaded other apps that are clearly superior.

I gave it 2 stars because it tracked the laser shot, but their added features are way over priced.

You get a free 10 shot training, then you can upgrade to unlimited shot training which just means you can do more than 10 shots at a time without having to walk over and reset it.

The shot timer upgrade is even more frustrating! A voice will say shooter ready, and a tone will play. This would be great if it actually timed your shot from the tone to the laser hit. That’s how you know if your holster draw is getting better.

There is no way to track accuracy improvement over multiple sessions. If you are considering purchasing their targets for GSightLaserTrainingPro , don’t bother, just draw something on some cardboard.

Disappointing since the laser and tripod I bought through them seem to work really well.

Update: A lot of the time it appears that it’s not registering shots but when you go to the summary page the shots are there. That takes most of the fun out of it. I would consider paying for the upgrade if it worked consistently.

The free version is very basic but it works great. So far I’ve only used the free feature so no idea if the pay features are any good.

So I just received the product and it's looks good but the video from GSightLaserTrainingPro jitters/jumps rhythmically. I tried the ios native video Camera app and no jitters so it's not my phone/Camera. It seems like the software. Any one else with this problem?

Probably the best app for using a laser. I don’t understand why the paid timer add on doesn’t actually have a timer. That is the most important part of practice

The bullet works great never had an issue, GSightLaserTrainingPro however is basically what I would expect from a kid in junior high working from a garage in the 90s. False hits or signaling a hit but not showing where, or even just not registering the hit at all.

Not their best work.

This works for any laser bullet! I bought the timed drill and unlimited sessions. I practice every night now!

Some things I would love to see in the future:

1. When switching to different training sessions, it automatically zooms back out. It would be nice for it to memorize my zoom on my target.

2. A timer would be great to see how fast your draw is. I know there is some latency, but not sure if you guys can calculate it and give a rough estimated time!

When you purchase the G sight laser training, you should be given a Purchased key for downloading GSightLaserTrainingPro .
I did not read anywhere that I was going to have to pay for multiple app downloads.

The laser is high quality and works great. It comes in a nice carrying case with spare batteries. GSightLaserTrainingPro is ok for beginners. I purchased all the upgrades and they all work fine but other brands have apps that are far far superior. My G-Sight works with those apps. Things that would bring me back to G-sight app:
1: Add screen mirroring via bluetooth or wifi so shooters can stand far away from the target and see each hit clearly on the TV and have the voice announce the hit and direction ie 9 at 1 o’clock 8 at 6 o’clock
2. Add a reset via shooting at a reset button near the target vice having to walk up and touch the phone to restart each session
3. Add a tracker for multiple shooters so we can compete or track our progress if two guys want to take turns shooting
4. Add to settings where I can tell GSightLaserTrainingPro how far away I am standing so I can save sessions and review my accuracy and progress at several shooting distances over the weeks and months.
5. Make an online shooting contest using GSightLaserTrainingPro so we can challenge our friends. Not sure how to keep people from cheating unless the selfie camera can show the shooter just before told to fire and they have less than one second to shoot when GSightLaserTrainingPro switches to the camera on the target. You guys want my money, you figure it out.

Using the shot timer, you have to go through the settings each time you use GSightLaserTrainingPro , and resets after closing. Needs a save feature. It adjusts ok on the iPhone, but is painful on the iPad. It doesn’t adjust when you touch on the dot on the slide bar, but just off from it and hard to find. It stinks to have to go through this each time I want to practice. Please fix!

I think GSightLaserTrainingPro is great. Has all the features you really need. One thing I would like to see in the future is a section you can see your past training sessions and compare how you’ve progressed. Maybe a graph of your overall experience since using it. Some advice section if you’re struggling. I think that would be a great feature to have. But over all, I have no complaints

Great system and app. Love this thing!!!! totally amazing how accurate it is at picking up the shots even when camera isn’t directly in front of it. I will recommend this to all my students. 5 stars for me

You don’t want to pay for more than a 10 shot experience? DON’T!!!

The accuracy seems spot on and it’s helped me immensely. Period. 5-stars.

Great and fun love the fact that it has a timer and you see every where you hit your target. Even my kids love it. We dry fire every day. Always safety first. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

With the cost of ammo and the inconvenience of traveling to a range the G Laser and App is great option. It definitely makes dry fire fun and helps improve your skills. After about six months the G Laser wasn’t working in one of my 9mm. After sending an email they replaced the striker end cap which fixed the problem. This product cost less than one box of ammo. If they could enhance GSightLaserTrainingPro to provide scoring with multiple players it would be perfect.

Works well on an iPhone 6s as well as an 11 Pro. Accurate to the millimeter, and just works.

I’m having an awesome time with GSightLaserTrainingPro .. It’s up to the user to select, set up and correctly calibrate targets but if you do that correctly it works as intended..Very reasonable investment for great training tool ..

Great concept but GSightLaserTrainingPro freezes every time I use it on my iPhone 6s. Most of the time it says “calibrating” then just hangs forever. Sometimes if you change from one type of training to another it will freeze. Totally useless for serious training, as is. Which is too bad because it has wonderful potential! It would also be great if it could save results.

I first downloaded GSightLaserTrainingPro on my note 8 and purchased the shot timer. On the note 8 it works flawlessly and I gave 5 stars and a good review on google play. Because of the success on the note 8, I downloaded on my iPad Pro and purchased the shot timer. GSightLaserTrainingPro on the iPad Pro does not work as well as the note 8. The shot timer runs like a regular 10 shot laser training with bugs. It seems that it doesn’t follow the settings adjusted in the menu for the shot timer. I adjusted the setting to see if I received a different result. Nothing. I am also using all G-Sight laser products. Great dry firing practice tool that needs a little tweak on the apple side of GSightLaserTrainingPro .

GSightLaserTrainingPro is honestly extremely awesome. But more work needs to be focused for GSightLaserTrainingPro . I recently purchased this and not a huge fan of the time lag. Some times it takes 4-5 times starting a 10shot session. Before it finally unlags it’s self. Other than extremely slow reaction time it’s a cool app.

It'll be okay for the casual dry firer with a single shot type laser module. For serious dry firers there is a better free app available. This would be great if you could reset from firing position, that's probably my largest complaint. The other being that with NLT SIRT pistol, it's easy to out shoot it. (Shoot faster than it can record hits)

It would be nicer if you can shoot a “reload” or ‘start’ like in other laser hit apps. Also would be nice to have landscape orientation as well.
Other than that, functions well.

Will wait to see if other functions are added before purchasing upgrades, but liking it so far.

Has a quick draw feature you pay 4.99 to get. Works fine except for the fact it doesn’t give you your draw time.

I really liked the free stuff, GSightLaserTrainingPro worked very well, so I went to buy the shot timer. On my iPad it works fine. On my iPhone 7 I can’t hear the shooting commands, buzzer, etc. this has to be an easy fix guys!

I love GSightLaserTrainingPro don’t get me wrong. I actually didn’t mind having to reset/re-calibrate every 10 shots for the “free” version. I decided to download the next in app purchase which was the “Unlimited Shooting”; hoping it would have at least a few settings to adjust. It has Nothing at all....literally just fire until your tire of firing. I am very skeptical about spending another $4.99 for the “Shot Timer” even though it states it has quite a few settings to set to your preference.

My experience using the product was positive. I spent 20 to 30 minutes running a couple drills and GSightLaserTrainingPro as well as the g-sight laser performed as expected. I only used the free app. For what drills I plan to run, I can’t imagine the need for the locked features that require a fee. I also down loaded the LaserHIT app to compare. I’ll likely stick with the G-Sight app as the LaserHIT has a couple steps that take time before you start shooting where as G-Sight gets you going quickly.

If you’re looking to get your dry fire on point and your accuracy up-to-date this is an awesome product The problem that I see is you can’t save practice sessions that a most for a lot of people

This is perfect for dry fire with a laser. You can make any object a target and you get instant feedback as if you were shooting steel. I bought a laser for 30 bucks and with GSightLaserTrainingPro I can dry fire all day with a target for nothing. You can’t find anything else like that for under 200 bucks.

GSightLaserTrainingPro works surprisingly well. Love the fact I can use on my iPad and iPhone. When setting up you will find it works best in low to normal light. I am really looking forward to the shot timer.

Using this with an iPhone 8. Perfect for dry firing at home. It allows you to see where you’re at with your draw times etc so you can be better prepared at the live range.

Not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from. I have an older iPhone 6 Plus and it works flawlessly. I can plink casually at home and save a few bucks between trips to the range. I’ve got my phone in place using a portable tripod. Very happy with this purchase!

GSightLaserTrainingPro does exactly what it's supposed to do.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the fact that it will shut off when your screen times out.
Easy fix, I know, but I shouldn't have to change my time out or touch the screen.
Something to think about in regards to an update.
