POEMate is great to plan out a build on mobile for transfer over to path of building when you just can’t access it - when it works. However, over the last 2 weeks it has become nearly unusable because any time I attempt to make a new build it crashes. The only work around I’ve found is to uninstall and then reinstall POEMate! Ridiculous. Just save your time and use path of building.

This new affliction update makes certain areas of the tree unable to be selected. It feels like the ascendancies are “blocking” the ability to allocate points near starting areas. The text for the masteries keep disappearing too…

Mastery list items don’t always render completely (or all are missing) on non-iPad screens (iPhone 13), passives often switch icons when selected, conversion gems when applied alter masteries that reference attributes, when removed, the mastery text still reads the converters attribute, etc.

Good for mentally mapping out skill progression but little else. Crashes fairly frequently on loading.
Not entirely sure it's even being maintained, the pastebin support suggestion has not been addressed or any of the myriad other save/load bugs.

Will update review when or if they are ever addressed.

While I think some aspects of POEMate could be much better, this has helped me build quite a few solid characters.

My number 1 requests would be the ability to accept pastebins meant for path of building and render a tree from there. This would be a huge help when browsing build guides for ideas.

Number 2 on the list would be a way to delete builds more quickly. As I go through several drafts, they tend to pile up and it would be nice to clean the slate a bit when I am done.

Other than that it’s a solid jumping off point for the game.

I’m a new player and POEMate has been awesome! When I saw the update today my reaction was “Thank you, you are beautiful!”

One thing is I did a new build on 3.8 Poe planner website last night and this update app didn’t accept the URL paste, where it worked for 3.7, so maybe a bug?

Great functionality, but there is a persistent bug. If I try to load a build I've previously saved, reset my build, or change reservations, it crashes.

With that, it's still the best way to plan a build on iOS, hands down.

Hello, this is a great application for on-the-go builds if you’re in a coffee shop or something of that nature. I was wondering if there was a way to import a build from pastebin or something of that nature... would love to import someone else’s build and work on it

It does its main purpose but with a little effort and time they may be able to fully replicate some of the base functions of path of building and with a extreme amount of efforts the community fork

Whenever I try to deselect a mana reservation, it kicks me out of POEMate .

POEMate could be more user friendly, or at least explain what links you need to actually view builds. It’s more the fault of the horrendous UI on poeplanner than POEMate. I’ve been fighting with the absolutely terrible UI that is poeplanner, and it took me over an hour to figure out where to find a simple link to view a build. You have to actually copy and paste it, if you click “get link” next to the url on poeplanner it won’t work when you try to paste it in POEMate . If it wasn’t for POEMate I would have given up on this game long ago.

Love it! Easy to use UI, does everything one could need. Will be supporting this with a purchase come payday for sure!

I love path, but if you like things your way the. half of the game is planning your build and this is a great tool to do so!

Copy a build from the forums/website paste it and boom the entire build loads!

POEMate is crazy detailed. So much so i felt i had to support it and but the $2.99 pack. It lets u view and edit the tree and see how it all works together before doing it on your char. Its just insane! But in a good way :)

App is current crashing after the 3.15 update when loading different builds. Otherwise app is fantastic!

I'm always on here thinking out another build. It doesn't have everything you need, but it is extremely helpful.

While POEMate isn’t nearly as involved as Path of Building, it is very useful for mobile devices since I don’t know of any other way to fiddle with talent trees. You also receive a comprehensive list of what your tree provides you (something PoB does not).

It doesn’t allow for pastebin links, and you can’t import gear (only raw stats). The 3.7 update has the wrong icons for the passive clusters, but I expect that to be fixed shortly.

POEMate its self works extremely well but there is definitely some wank in parts, for example one of the gem slots (the one left of Scion) causes a crash when you equip a gem in it

Good for theory crafting a build while you are on the can :)
