I have sent numerous emails and get a stupid email response where you can’t answer my questions I got news for you. That’s just bullshit. I can no longer save recipes I’ve been trying to get some feedback and nobody responds. If I don’t get a response to this I’m calling Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint. This is just pathetic customer service. My phone number is 203-733-4397. I want to call.

Sadly, this app is no longer being supported. After numerous friendly attempts to contact customer support, I hit a wall. The one response I did receive was “I’ve been sick”. I AM GUTTED! Have used and loved this app for years and have hundreds of recipes cataloged. I used it nearly every day and converted dozens of handwritten recipes, newspaper clippings and family heirlooms to the app. I can no longer clip recipes and I’ve lost most of the photographs I had. Am looking for alternatives, but It will me a mammoth task to convert my ChefTap collection. Such a shame.

I loved Cheftap for years - it was ahead of its time when I first signed up. But suddenly the developers stopped pushing updates and the app experienced frequent crashes. It feels like the developers just forgot about this app and their customer base. It’s a shame.
Also, Cheftap’s export format was so poor I ended up having to re-import most of my recipes by hand into a different app. The exported html files didn’t even include images or a consistent structure (e.g., half of my recipes were missing the “Instructions” and “ingredients” headers).
I hope Apple takes note and removes this app from the store if the developers aren’t going to maintain it.

If you came to this app to put in your recipes, plan on paying. You have to “go Pro” to manually enter your own recipes. That is the most ridiculous thing imaginable to charge people for. I’m not paying to enter my own recipes, I’ll buy a physical book to write them into before I pay for an account yearly. Oh, and it only lets you save 15 recipes from the internet MAX before you, again, have to pay yearly to use the app. I’d sooner pay for the app itself than pay to use the thing yearly.
