Don’t do it. AldikoBookReader is a nightmare to deal with. The login process is a multistep nightmare that fails inexplicably. Book downloads are plagued by near-constant errors that often take hours to fix and often are never resolved.
Additionally, if you try to access their help desk, it says it is no longer supported.
Do NOT buy an e-book or download a galley that is available only through Aldiko. You will spent hours trying to access it and likely never be able to.
By far the worst e-reader app out there.

I have several dozens of e-books (mostly in epub) that iBooks finds without fail, but AldikoBookReader doesn’t see them. What good is an e-reader app that can’t read e-books?

No stars. AldikoBookReader is so glitching. It’s impossible to read a book on AldikoBookReader. It does not advance pages. It just keeps repeating the same 2 pages over and over. Big thumbs down. Only gave 1 star because I had to give something.

Personally, I feel that AldikoBookReader was great without the updates. I was able to access more functions than I can presently.

Needs a built in dictionary and ability to export books/files as well as import them
Needs to be updated for iOS 12. Since the new iOS update, the book keeps flipping back to the beginning when you read or turn a page. Currently unusable as it is.
