Worst

My guys hate Podium and quit using it. A friend that was Contractor of the Year recently dropped this app after all the issues they had. BUT made the comment he tried to cancel for months and they (this app) made it virtually impossible even with their horrible service. They send out invitations when not supposed too then blame it on other software vendors, website chat feature quits (probably will blame that on someone else too) and worst of all tell you it’s a month-to-month agreement when starting up then when you want to cancel the service due to all the issues it magically becomes a binding annual “contract”. One of the worst companies/services I’ve ever had to deal with. Do your research, read the other reviews. We’re in a national trade association and every day on the blog more & more are telling what a horrible experience association with this app is. Stay Away!

Has potential, but….

Love the idea of Podium . However, it would be nice if instead of focusing on new features they focused on fixing the bugs. For example: Approximately half the time I open Podium , it logs me out. Any time you go to assign a conversation to yourself, you scroll a bit, it glitches, and then it scrolls indefinitely through the same names. If your name is 15ish or further in line, you’re unable to assign conversations. Anytime you go to assign a conversation to yourself, the menu of names pops up twice. Not a huge issue but certainly annoying. I get the sense that Podium works great for people connected to wifi. However, we use it in the field and generally have poor signal. Podium effectively ceases to function without a very strong signal. I guess it is what it is but it would be awesome if Podium actually worked as advertised.

We rely on this app for our customers to send videos/photos to us so we can assess issues. this app heavily compresses all media files so they are incredibly pixelated and blurry. This is a pretty major issue.

Been using this service for over a year now. Honestly, I hate it. Started since we signed up with them. The girl who was supposed to train my team went ghost on us immediately after we signed. Still to this day, I’m waiting for a call back. One of the reasons why my team and I were so excited for this was because we were told we can customize features and if it wasn’t possible, they would absolutely make it happen for us.. guess what… I’ve submitted several feature requests and was told no. Also, we are constantly missing calls- saying abandoned. Which on the caller it drops the calls. Regardless of the strength of internet service. Today, I’m having issues making phone calls. I am about to lose my mind with this app. I’m really considering on getting out of this app.

Beware of Podium SCAM

My name is Jeffery Haynes. I went to a furniture market in Las Vegas and and was adamant about declining this app. I had declined it the previous year before. The agent kept trying to persuade my wife by promising her unrealistic things. They will promise you 1,000 reviews on less than 30 days and a triple in business revenue. I told them that was a lie and totally not true. The this app agent then claims he talked to his manager and gave me a 30 day temporary agreement. If he did not deliver on his promises I could cancel in 30 days. When we were presented the contract I specifically asked was it in there and they said yes it was. After 30 days and there was 0% increase, it was obvious they had lied to me. They reviewed the call and then knowingly said because it was not in writing. I told them was it in the contract and they lied and said yes. Please don’t do any business with these liars. I have contacted them numerous times and they wanted me to take half the cost and still end up charging me another full month. There is absolutely no value in this useless product. Please call me before you purchase!!!!

Biased company

This company is absolutely not open minded and very biased in their viewpoint, they will NOT help out smaller companies that provide positive services to the community if it doesn’t align with their viewpoints. This is very awful way to conduct business with a paying customer especially if they don’t break the law, the only reason they won’t work with our company is because they are biased and honestly a little bigoted and if I were somebody that’s open minded and inclusive I would find another company that provides the same services but doesn’t have a bias and very exclusive view about companies. It’s very dis hearting to have a very exclusive company in 2023 that is very biased. Do not use their services, very non open minded company that’s not inclusive at all. I’d I could give -5 stars I would. Awful company

Unethical company

BUSINESSES BEWARE. this app makes it nearly impossible to cancel. We used their services from 2016 to late 2017 and decided to postpone use while we went through a few process changes. Our first attempt to cancel was in January 2018. When we got a bill in February we made a second cancellation attempt. It is now mid May and they have still not cancelled our account. Their excuse was the rep we tried to cancel with “is no longer with the company.” Their rep went on to say that they are “sorry we feel that we need to be reimbursed” and that they cannot because they do not have proof we tried to cancel. (They do not record calls when convenient for them)

Strongly recommend businesses look elsewhere for review sites as it’s just as important to have a good product as it is to do good, ethical business. STRONG PASS ON THIS COMPANY.

BUYER BEWARE!

This company will say ABSOLUTELY anything to get you to sign up! After being told by the sales rep that we could “absolutely” use our landline number for texting and that it would be “no problem,” we were then told AFTER SIGNING THE CONTRACT that that was no possible. For FOUR MONTHS I have tried to get a refund because this app could not make my service work the way they promised. I just heard from them today, four months later, that they are able to make it work, but that they refuse to refund my money or apply a credit for the MONTHS that the service wasn’t working as promised, even through I never stopped trying to get my cancellation confirmed and my money refunded. It’s a great service, but they have a lot to learn in the customer service department. Very disappointed and will be spreading the word every time I get the chance.

Huge potential, sputtering mid-flight

I’m a property manager that knew of this app for a couple years prior to signing-up for their services. The biggest marketing push from them was their 60k customer base which resonated. With that many customers, we “assumed” that this app had the bandwidth and expertise to handle our requests — which were addressed before signing a contract. We’ve now been members for 4-5 mos and 1 of the requests was just achieved (porting our office number for text purposes) and the other one while is in operation is broken and doesn’t work properly (a webhook that looks into our CRM for specific data and talks back to this app). Either way, our business efficiency and I could argue profitability have suffered.

I can see the potential and hope that this app can right the ship so that all companies, not just mine, can maximize their businesses. We’re paying a hefty monthly fee to use this service but I’m afraid the value hasn’t quite caught up.

Having issues

When paying for a service such as this it’s frustrating that less than a month in it’s not working as it should. Multiple issues, with icon disappearing from my site and messages sent through this app not coming across on my phone like hey should. Many nice features, but requires time and energy on your part to solicit the reviews. I find that many of my customers who already have me as a contact are unwilling to give feedback to a source that does not come across as me. Also it’s confusing to me when an existing customer uses the this app button to contact me instead of using my cell number. My existing contacts don’t appear in this app as anyone I know until I enter them. It’s a lot of work on your end for a service you pay a lot of money for. I’m a small business with very limited time to delve into making this site work for me. They set it up electronically the rest is up to you.

Good product, horrible customer service!

I have mixed feelings about this app. We have used this app close to a year and when it comes to customer communication, they are awesome. I love having the universal inbox and have all of my customer interactions in one place. Being able to see messages from my website, FB Messenger, Google Messenger, and incoming leads all in one place is awesome. I also signed up for their phone product and having all the voicemails and recorded calls in the customer thread is awesome. Very clean and organized and a great way to manage customer interactions without things getting lost.

So why only three stars? Customer service!

Their customer service team is the worst. When you have a question or a technical issue, the reps will make you feel like they are taking care of you but nothing is getting done. I had an SMS problem and wasn’t able to send/receive messages for three days. It took like 10 calls and emails, over multiple reps, just to get one person who took the matter into their own hands. I lost a ton of business because of it.

Bottom line, if you get past the customer service hurdles and actually run your company on this app, it’s a great product. But if you need customer service, good luck.

App now crashes

We’ve been using this app for our business to keep in touch with customers. At first we were able to send videos. Next thing we knew they wouldn’t go through. Now we can’t even try to send a video, every time we do Podium crashes. We send updated photos to our clients and haven’t been able too for about a week now. Very inconvenient! Please fix this.

The crashing for sending photos and videos have been fixed.

It would be nice if it had a word search feature. Not just search by number or name.

Great success, but app glitches

My company has had great success working with this app over the past few years, especially when it comes to online reviews.

Podium makes it easy to chat with leads or customers by text, without employees having to share their personal cell phone numbers. However, Podium can be glitchy. Frequently, I will receive messages from customers to which I can’t respond; either I tap the notification to open Podium and the screen goes blank, or it tells me I’m not logged in and rejects my login info.

Otherwise, I highly recommend this app to any small business!!

Podium is critical to our support

this app allows our company to reach our clients quickly on the methods they prefer, texting. We are able to close deals and respond to our clients support needs quickly as texting is something everyone is used too. Our CRM and this app integrated flawlessly, and our clients can quickly leave reviews right when we close a job. this app is so well integrated into our support structure that we couldn’t do business anymore without it!

I Use Podium Non-Stop!!

I work for an automotive dealership, and I spend the majority of my day contacting customers. this app makes reaching out to my customers, that I cannot reach by calling, super easy. My job in customer care has improved the amount of customers I can reach, thus helping business. I love Podium on my cell, that way if I am away from my desk, I do not miss or respond late to my customers. They love it too! Also, I’ve never had an issue with Podium or this app itself. It’s super convenient and awesome all-around!

Great for any business

People rely on the internet and reviews to guide them towards making the right purchase at a reputable establishment. By simply just asking a customer to give you a review goes out of sight out of mind when the customer leaves. With Podium you can send a link via text or email to help get the review done for your business. In the world of smartphones Podium is phenomenal to get your business ratings up. I send the link to all customers post sale and have had an 80% + success rate with customer reviews. It is much easier to give a review from your smartphone than it is getting to a desktop pc. Quite convenient!!! I love the this app app and will continue to be use it daily as it has brought me many customers. Thanks again.

Our entire companies communication portal

We have only been using it for a few weeks but are thoroughly impressed with the ease of use and customer support we have received Eli and Graham have been great with getting us up and rolling and I feel they have a great platform to work with so it all seems to come together. We are using the phone system and the messaging system and they work together seamlessly. I highly recommend this app for your companies communication needs.

Game changer

It works and hard as you work for it. If you think this service will generate reviews without you, you’d be wasting your money. Takes some time to rework your communication style but It’s worth the change. I have no problem generating reviews anymore. App makes it easier for you to request reviews and for the customer to write them. Full customization of message and even photos.
It’s a steep buy in but I can say after as little as 2 month I doubled my reviews.
Highly recommend if you have the budget.

Podium app is great when you aren’t by a computer!

Podium is great! I’m able to work and respond when I’m not by a computer, and it has almost all the functions as when you are doing it on the web/computer! Being able to respond to customers/potential customers when time sensitive has been great! I’ve only seen one glitch, and that is when I go to choose locations, sometimes it kicks me out and doesn’t let me choose. I just log out and log back in and it’s great! Highly recommend!

Highly recommend Podium

My law firm has been using this app for about 6 months. I don’t understand how I ran my law firm for 30 years without this app. This program makes it so easy to communicate with our clients. We follow up almost every phone call to a client with a simple short text message in this app. It’s always been difficult to get clients to take the time to write a review. Now with this app we can send simple template text message and within this message is a link to several social media sites that all they have to do is click on and leave a review.

Consistent and convenient

Thi Consistent convenience. Helps me connect with clients on my phone but without giving them my personal cell. Incredibly reliable, loads quickly and feels like my native iMessage! Love it. s app is an amazing tool to keep in touch with clients and prospects via messaging without having to text from my personal number, but still from my personal phone.
I use it to follow up on sales, renegade prospects who don’t answer phone calls/ emails and request feedback/ solicit reviews online.
