Awesome dream practice companion

I downloaded a lot of different apps and tried them all and found this to be the best most accessible and functional. So far I have been loving it. (Of course I paid and got full version, totally worth the 4 dollars) The layout is pleasant, the statistics keep track of multiple layers of themes, people, emotions, etc. The analysis tools ask you questions to further reflect on the symbolism. I just recently started to dive into lucid dream theory and practice and I’m very excited to have this as my companion journal.
NOTE TO DEVELOPER: it would be so cool if instead of yes/no on lucid dreaming status, there would be other options like astral projection or maybe more of a spectrum from 1 to 10, because sometimes it’s hard to define a dream as totally lucid or not, sometimes it’s borderline, other times my consciousness separates from me and disappears for awhile and then returns as if it’s been places with out me..I don’t even know what that’s called, but I wish there were more options than regular dream, nightmare, or lucid. Because that, for example, wouldn’t fit any of those categories. So it would be cool if I can create my own categories..

Add an explore option!

Hello. I came across this wonderful app an hour ago while searching for a dream journal app. I bought premium and Oniri is great. I came across the idea of being able to look at other people’s dreams for fun or insight. I realize that dreams are personal so there should be an option to be public or private. This explore option would be an extra tab at the bottom and include other people’s dreams that are fit to share. There should also be a search option to perhaps see if anyone else had a similar dream to the viewer. All the dreams would be filtered by newest. Now, I highly advise not adding an upvote or like system because it would be much too social media-y. I simply suggest adding the basic writing portion of the dream, the title, and the picture. There should be no way to see who the dream belongs to or how many people have seen it. That way, things stay anonymous and not like social media. I’d love to hear the developers’ insights on this idea. Thanks!

I finally used the comments on emotions and there’s

I’ve had Oniri for a year and never used the “what does this mean to you feature”. I decided to go through a dream in detail, running through every object and theme and emotion, in detail, analyzing it. To my dismay, the next dream I did this with the answers to “car” were automatically filled in with my previous answer. I changed it, and it changed it for the other dream too! I found a lot of insight using this feature, but that means nothing if its exactly the same for each dream. “Car” means something specific in one dream than another, and going through these analyzing each object helped me put together a cohesive summary at the end. Now I’m not going to use this feature. I checked settings to see if I could turn off the saving one definition for an object or place etc, and there is none. If that’s how other people want to do it, that’s fine, I don’t want that feature taken away from them to where they have to type the same thing every time, but maybe give an OPTION to turn off saving the definition every time as the universal “what it means to you”

Fantastic app with helpful statistics

This is an amazing app with such a beautiful design and in-depth statistics for your dreams. The screen slowly changes colors as you type your dream out, which is fun. They also organize your dream into multiple sections, such as Emotions, People, Locations, etc. which is very helpful for noticing dream signs. There are 12 different alarms for you to choose from, each with their own theme. This gives each user a chance to find an alarm that works for them, which is amazing. The way it organizes your dreams and helps you interpret your dream signs and emotions is fantastic, and they even have a library of beautiful images to choose for your dreams, making them easy to find and define with just a picture. They even have a reality check feature which reminds you to do reality checks throughout the day. If you’re looking for some inspiration to start writing your dreams down, Oniri will give you everything you need to be consistent. Worth every penny.

Exactly what I was looking for

I was curious if there were any dream journal apps out there that helped you record and analyze your dreams and I had ideas in mind for if I were to make an app myself if there wasn’t. When I found Oniri I was excited to see that it had all the features I was looking for, plus way more than I was ever expecting in a dream app. It’s so helpful in helping you break down all the elements of your dream, it offers interpretations for common symbols rather than having to use a different app for that, and I love the pictures feature to help illustrate your dreams. It really gave me so much insight into why I had the dream and what it meant in my life currently. It’s a beautiful, simple app. I paid for the premium version right away to help me analyze my first dream, which at $6/year is extremely reasonably priced, and it was worth it!

I LOVE THIS APP!

First, I’d like to say - I LOVE Oniri! You’ve done an amazing job on the interface. It is so easy to use even for a beginner.

I have always had a very active dream life going all the way back to the age of 4. I recall my dreams from that age as well - like it was yesterday. I love recording them in my Dream Journal and uncovering the deeper, hidden meanings.

I just finished testing out your app with a dream I had this morning. It worked perfectly. I especially love the addition of emotions (negative and positive). Kudos!

I do have a suggestion. Before I paid for the full version, I did a test of the Export to PDF. As soon as I saw how easily it worked, I uploaded the full version of your app. But then, I was disappointed that the interpretation (my responses and notations) did not export.

Thus began the painful process of copy/pasting between your app and my Dream Journal in Microsoft Word. This was a total bummer.

I can wholeheartedly understand your not wanting to share your database freely but my suggestion is, please allow our personal responses, notations, and interpretations to be exported with our dream and elements.

My hope is to utilize your app on a daily basis for a quick noting of my dreams with the ultimate intention of exporting them to my Dream Journal on my Mac.

I hope this makes sense! Either way, I’m very impressed and it was well worth the $2.99 I paid!

Top Place for Logging my Dreams

I admit that I decided to pay up for the premium version a long time ago, but by no means do I regret it. Every single night that I have a dream that I can remember vividly, I come here and I make sure to write it. I love that it allows you to rate how comfortable it felt to have, what emotions you had felt, the kind of people and etcetera. It's helped me to have a better connection with my dreams and understand them better. It also makes for an interesting time when I get to go back and reread my past ones. With how easy it is to use and how pretty it's design and color scheme is, I find it easy to get into doing. At the end of the day though, even if you don't need anything fancy, I'd still recommend using this anyway, just don't pay for it then. I look forward to continuing my use of Oniri in the future, I have been for about a year already!

Loved it, updated it, now hate it

So I loved Oniri. I would write down what happened in my dreams on the mornings I would remember them. It worked flawlessly. However this morning, it asked me if I wanted to update to a new version to which I did. When the updated version was downloaded, I started to input the dream I had. I wrote a long, DETAILED description of the events, the story, the people, places, etc like I always do. And that’s the thing about Oniri. It allows me to type in AS MUCH as I want with no limit, which is nice. I am also very cautious when it comes to making sure my info is saved, so I will save my post multiple times throughout my typing process. That way, IF something gets deleted somehow, I can just go back to resuming to what had been saved LAST. This was NOT one of those times. I had saved my post MULTIPLE times while I continued to write my post. When I was done, I made sure to save the final draft....again just to be sure! And guess what happened?? NOTHING SAVED! I had written paragraphs and written such a detailed post about my dream and it’s just POOF...GONE. So disappointing and not reliable.

My favorite app!

As a major in psychology, I really appreciate delving into my subconscious and figuring out how my past and uncovered thoughts and feelings influence my everyday responses. Oniri has helped me tremendously in doing so!
I try to log every dream I remember, even the dreams I think don’t mean anything. And what I’ve found astonishing is that even the dreams I don’t think mean anything, have certain solutions and explanations to how I feel in the waking hours.
Every time I close Oniri after analyzing the dreams I have, I feel euphoric and productive. I feel like I am working towards reaching a state of mind that was seemingly impossible to reach outside of this platform. I thank the developers and the interesting yet completely accurate knowledge whole heartedly.

I particularly love how you can attach HD images to your dreams which I feel really make you remember and feel what the dream was like for you.
If anything, if there can be any way Oniri can improve, maybe allow a contact book where you log your feelings about people that you know that often appear in your dreams to assist further connections and thought.
Otherwise, Oniri is complete perfection and I love the devotion Oniri institutes in me. Thank you again!

AWESOME but...

I’ve been recording my dreams for a while but I was always dissatisfied with how Oniri looked. This setup is perfect and cute, and it makes me want to write my dreams down more often. I quickly got the premium version and have been very please except with the “wake back to bed” feature. I actually really love the idea, but the timer doesn’t go down with my phone being off, which is sucky when I can’t have my phone running the entire night. Also, the alarms are a little bit too loud, I tried the “stay still” method, but the alarm was way too piercing and loud. I even tried picking the quietest one. I suggest no loud piano keys banging randomly. Otherwise, Oniri is amazing. I also suggest a help button because some things are not specific and I can’t understand them very well.

Very Therapeutic

So I would like to first say I’m a skeptic of most things, and I don’t take time to review anything. I didn’t think Oniri would be useful or that I would went to update it every morning. I decided I’d try it out for a couple days and see how it went. I’ve been having some crazy dreams lately and it would be nice to remember them. First off, the layout is beautiful on Oniri. I love how you get to analyze and rate your dream. Oniri gives you feed back that’s pretty spot on as to what certain things or themes in your dreams could mean. I’m schooled on how therapeutic Oniri has become. I actually learned more about myself. I high encourage you to try it out for a weeks worth of dreams, and actually fill out the questionnaire for the analysis. You won’t regret it!

Very Impressed!

I tried out several different apps for keeping a Dream Diary, and this one was the most appealing! I absolutely love the different categories to organize dreams as well as the overall aesthetic of Oniri itself. It is very easy to track dreams and in detail using Oniri. Likewise, it allows for creative flexibility with its association of pictures with dreams.

One thing that I am a tad concerned about, however, is whether or not I’ll lose any of my dreams? There seems to be no account-based saving feature, but I won’t go too much into that aspect, because I don’t understand all the in-depth programming incorporated into an app.

In any case, I would highly recommend this for anyone would wants an easy-to-use, aesthetically-pleasing, helpful app to record and track dreams. And the best part of it all is that the major feature of recording dreams is free! 😊

Hands down best way to keep a dream journal

I’ve been trying to keep a dream journal for about a year now. It takes so much time and effort to keep it organized in a random app that you can write in. With capture tho, it’s a LOT easier to keep one. When you write down your dreams, you can add lots of information about what emotions you were feeling, the people you met in the dream, and characters met in the dream, and lots more. You can then filter your dreams based on those things so you can easily find them again. Oniri is well made, easy to use, and looks good. It’s just a really good app overall. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get into lucid dreaming or just wants to remember their dreams. 10/10

First and only dream App I’ll need!

I rarely review any app or product that I use but Oniri is truly amazing. The interfacing of the whole thing is so beautifully put together; from the user friendly applications to the gorgeous and relaxing ever changing gradient background. I’ve just recently decided to start logging my dreams just for personal desire and I’m glad that this was the first app I found. Definitely my first and last because it is fantastic.

The only thing that I would change, or more so expand on, are the different elements and explanations in dreams. I definitely understand that that list is endless but some elements are perfect with coinciding explanations but then some other elements are not listed as an option. Maybe it’s just me and my crazy dreams! 😉

Dream Data Disappeared

I love love looove using Oniri to record my dreams and have found it immensely useful ever since I started using it. However, following the new update, I was in the middle of jotting down my dream this morning and all of a sudden, I wasn’t able to edit any further. I thought refreshing Oniri would fix it but instead, it deleted not only the dream I was writing, but also haha… EVERY single dream I’ve ever written. Thankfully I was able to get my old recorded dreams back through iCloud, but I basically wasted my 15-20 minutes of time writing a dream that I can’t get back. Idk if that’s a bug that came with the new update, but considering the other recent views I’ve seen, I’m not alone in this problem. Hopefully, things would change in the future, otherwise I might not be able to use Oniri anymore.

Best Dream Journal

I’ve been recording my dreams for years, and eventually decided to poke around for a dream journal on Oniri store. Capture immediately became my favorite way to record dreams; not only is it a journal, but by filling out the prompts about people, objects, and emotions, and rating dreams, saying whether or not you’ve had them before, and so on, Capture then provides you with an analysis that helps you interpret your dreams, and statistics to help you recognize patterns in your dreams.

I’ve occasionally had issues editing a dream and saving it (sometimes it just hangs), but typically I can close Oniri and re-edit the dream and it works. That’s the only issue I have.

Overall great app but can be even better.

The dream journal and the reality checks are awesome features. They are really easy to use and great tools to use for better dream recall. I purchased the premium version for a very low price which I was content about, considering the features that came with it. I was a little disappointed about the wake back to bed method. Why is it necessary to leave your phone on during the whole night? If maybe this feature would change to where you can turn your phone off and it still be counting down in the background it would be perfect. Personally I find it really inconvenient that I have to deal with this, but it’s not far fetched that maybe they can improve on this. Overall great app.

Won't let me in!

Hello! I have been on Oniri for a while now. I love it! I even paid money to get the full version, and I generally don't spend money on apps. This one was really good. But I didn't have my phone for over a month now, and I finally got it back. (My mom took it away) I wanted to write down some dreams. Oh wait! I have a password! Right. I typed in my password, it didn't unlock. I tried it multiple times. Maybe I'm wrong. it's fine, I have it written down. But the password is written down was the same one I was trying! It wasn't working! I paid money to Oniri and have many dreams written. The forgot password button didn't work either. (It just made Oniri crash whenever I tried it) pleeeease fix this! I love Oniri so much! If you can't at least refund my money!

The part where you it ask what does this element mean to you. And the interpretation

I really like Oniri because I find dream interpretation to be interesting. It’s a great way to keep a dream journal. How ever I think there’s something’s That should be worked on. I think that you should have a wider vocabulary and interpretation because I know there’s more meanings than that. I also think thank the part where I says what does this element mean to you shouldn't have the thing from you last dream put on to the dream you’re writing about . Because sometimes the thing that was in your dream could mean something different from your last. You could make it an option like if it’s something or someone very specific or if you said it was reoccurring

Best App I’ve used

I’ve recorded dreams for 40 and was delighted when phone apps started appearing for use. I tried many different ones over the years but always went back to paper for one reason or another. This one is the best I’ve used. I love the image adding feature and appreciate the keywords which seemed to be designed to be used for interpretation but I use them for looking at the dream stream and connecting ongoing themes. I do wish the emotion feature was set up to add your own as well as select from the list. I love being able to export a particular dream, a very useful feature for when my dream group meets.

By

wow !!

first of all, Oniri is incredibly easy to use. i personally used to use my notes to record my dreams, but capture is lots more precise! it has the perfect amount of features for someone who doesn’t want to pay for premium. and, when you do buy premium, it adds a little something to your experience that wasn’t mandatory, but it increased the productivity of my dream logging. overall, one of my favorite apps. it’s a definite download if you take an interest in lucidity in dreams or dream analysis, or you just like to read over old dreams and laugh at how ridiculous they are. the oNLY drawback is that the premium option is a tad pricey. but what are you going to, right?

By

Amazing

Download this now. This is by far the best dream app on Oniri store. You get to write down so many details of everything. For example, the actions, characters, title, theme, emotions felt, if it was lucid or not, and even put a picture to it. There’s many more features to it too especially if you become premium (which i’m not). I think it’s a really cool app and it’s good to write down your dreams. In articles i’ve read, writing down dreams can actually help boost your memory. Also, i think it’s just fun and very soothing. It makes me feel good when i remember a dream and get to write it down.
