I love this Dream App

This is the best Dream App I have ever used. It’s super simple to find a symbol and the additional links to other symbols really helps clarify. I also love the look of iDream and the cute pictures of each symbol really adds a lot. Very happy so far!

Was a great app now the developers are gone

I’ve had iDream for 7 years. I was able to transfer my journal from one phone to the other about 5 years ago. I paid for the pro version to save & keep my journal.
I went to a new phone around thanksgiving 2020 & emailed the support email twice & no one has gotten back to me. I’m pretty sure they are out of business.
DONT DOWNLOAD iDream!!!!

Good but needs improvement

I like how convenient iDream is. I think the journal feature is great and I love that it has a password lock.
The interface needs improvement though. The light colors are hard to read and iDream is just not crisp and clear. If I turn the brightness down in iDream then it's almost impossible to read what I'm writing. The text and background should contrast instead of blending into each other.
Also there should be a way to back up all the dreams that I've journaled. Back ups in the form of a PDF that gets sent to my email and to Dropbox would be great.
By updating the interface and adding a backup feature iDream could be perfect.

no good for vivid dreams

if you have really vivid or complex dreams iDream won't be much help

Great Concept, Poor Execution

I've been using iDream for over two years now, but finally reached the last straw today and spent three hours transferring all of my dreams into a different program so that I don't have to use this one anymore.

When I first downloaded this, I was very excited. I love the concept of iDream and if all of the bugs were fixed, I'd be very happy with it. Unfortunately, though, iDream is super buggy. It crashes frequently for unknown reasons, some of the features (such as "share") have never worked for me, and worst of all, today when I went to go in to copy all of my dreams (which each had to be done individually which was also frustrating), four of them were no longer there in the edit mode. I could view the text but could not copy, edit, or share it. So I had to manually re-type all of it into my new program, which took quite a while since most of my dreams are very long.

Also, I want to mention that the placement of ads make iDream very frustrating as well. I have nothing against ads in general and really wouldn't mind if they only showed up at certain times, like when you click on a dream or interpretation, when you save a dream, or something like that. But they will pop up randomly at any time. A lot of the time, this would be while I was writing and would cause me to lose my flow. This was actually the main reason that I initially decided to stop using iDream.

This app is fantastic!

I always wanted one of those books to look up my dreams, so when I saw iDream it caught my eye & I downloaded it. For those who don't understand it... Do you rarely understand your dreams? This is NOT to be confused with a dictionary folks, dreams can mean many, many things.. Hence the reason for all the highlighted words in each catagory. It's up to you to interpret what you think your subconscious mind is trying to say to you while you are sleeping. My advice, for those who are truly soul searching, or for you who all who are just trying to have fun...start with what you remember most and then slowly spin off that. You'll often find what you think your dream was about, wasn't, and it was something do small you wouldn't have ever thought of it hadn't the word been put in front of your face. Often seeing something, reminds us of other dreams we've had that would make a significant change in our life had we found out the message or the meaning behind it.

Great app

I think this is a great dream interpretation app. Definitely pay the extra money to upgrade to pro. It's cheap and it's worth it. I don't record my dreams as much as I'd like but when I do, this is a wonderful way to do it. I like that they added voice activation to record a dream, although I haven't used it yet. The only thing I found to be irritating about iDream is that, once a dream is recorded, when you view your list of dreams, it is very easy to accidentally erase one because next to every dream is the symbol to erase. So if you're not careful, you can erase a dream when not meaning to. I have done that and it is annoying. But otherwise, I would totally recommend iDream! Definitely worth the purchase. and I guarantee that almost everything you write about will have an interpretation matched to it...and a good one at that.

Everything I've been looking for and more...

All dreams have meaning behind them but it's never as simple as you may think.
iDream helps you distinguish every aspect of your dream. It's quite accurate and can actually be scary how the meaning of various parts of the dream can be so on point.
Hands down the best dream app I have found. It does need a little tweaking here and there. Sometimes your finger will hit an ad while navigating iDream and you'll find yourself having to get back from iTunes to the journal, therefore losing just a little of what you meant to write.

iDream lets you write or record what your mind "sees" when you wake from sleep. It's perfect for a vivid dream or for someone who has frequent nightmares like I do. A fresh look at your journal when u wake and all key words highlighted. When you read your dream in the same context and feelings that occurred and realize the meaning. Brilliant!
A night lettering option throughout the journal process would be helpful. It's quite hard to wake from a dream in the middle of the night and blinded by harsh iPhone light. It tends to distract from what you're trying to write.
Thank you for helping me answer the deepest questions of my mind.

Re-rating it from 2🌟 to 4🌟

Thanks for fixing the search option to allow multi-word meaning searches!! 👍😃.. Not sure how accurate the analysis is but I still ❤love💜 iDream .. Doesn't have some meanings in the free version 😏so that's why it's not a 5🌟.. But maybe the paid one does❔❔❔..

Previous post: I don't know if the pro version is better but I hardly ever find the meaning of my dreams with this.. I use another site and am able to quickly and easily put in a few words then it explains the dream.. With iDream it has only worked when I use one word because if I add more it comes up with no suggestions.. I love the concept of iDream but would be more helpful if it allowed for multi-word search..

Thanks for the update

This latest update of iDream is a god send. The first iteration of v3 had a couple of issues including a bug reading my journals. I contacted the developers to make them aware of the problem. They said they are working on a fixes for all the bugs and this will be in the next release. Indeed the new update has fixed my journal bug and now i'm writing happy once again.

If you have a bug or things you would like to see send the developers your feedback, they are quite good about fixes and responding.

Previously i reduced my rating down to three stars because of the bugs but its now back at five!

It needs MORE!!!

When there's a movie character in a dream, doesn't mean all of the characters are nice! And what about characters from a book? What if a car drives into a house? What if the house gets torn apart in a flood? What if in your mirror, is you as a hideous monster? And what if you have a pet deer? What if you are purposely locked in a clasroom? What if a teacher is evil? What if everyone else is a zombie and you're not? What if you're operating on an enemy? What if you cut open a stomach with an army knife? What if there's a key inside the stomach? What if someone's heart was rotting? What if the heart turns to ashes? What if there's a football field of stone? What if you're an octopus? What if everyone else is an octopus?

Okay

iDream is good for temporary recording of dreams and has 'meanings' behind keywords in your journals. I would NOT use this for long term recording of dreams and aspiring lucid dreamers. It crashes a lot and takes a long time to load. There is no easy way to back up your dreams either, unless you want to copy/paste every dream. After the last update it got messed up and disorganized all my dreams, putting them out of order and making multiple copies of each dream entry. I switched to a new journal. Also the white background is hard on your eyes when you try to record right after waking.

Enjoyable

Obviously not everything is going to be true, as it depends on things like how you feel and society's stance on the subject (after reading an older dream dictionary this is really easy to see), but I really enjoy how it lets me save my dreams because I have a horrible memory. Another thing I like about it is the definitions, I enjoy reading them regardless of if they're true or not. If it's something like I'll get asked out on a date, if I would believe that I'd hope I'd realize that it may not be who I'd think or hope it'd be and that I'd be openminded anyway. I don't believe that an app could predict the future, but I enjoy it nonetheless.

iDream

This is alright, it says a lot of the same interpretations for a many entries. And sometimes it's kind of obvious, like "seeing yourself being killed is a bad omen," etc.
And a few entries I have been quite offended by, not because I disagree, but because it sounds too biased. Especially the marijuana entry. That one should be removed. I mean come on, it basically says that it's a bad thing and you should stay away from it.
I think some entries are also a bit too closely following traditional gender roles and exclusive of other sexual orientations at times.
iDream is okay, but certain interpretations need revisions.

Quality app!

Dreams are always subject to the sole interpretation of the dreamer. Any dream dictionary gives ideas to the dreamer to help in the interpretation process. At times I will find these interpretations exact; other times I find the interpretation helpful in discovering a more personalized meaning. And at other times I haven't found the answer at all. No dream dictionary will have all the answers. This one is still a good reference though. The free version is mostly sufficient as well.

Awesome App

I've been using iDream for years. It's simple and easy to use. It doesn't complicate things. Pick the main ideas out from your dream and look the meaning up for each subject; combine and solve dream meaning. Takes a minute to learn the flow but all the other dream apps I've tried in the past have you type in the whole dream or make up this ridiculous definition to sugar coat stuff. I had a family member who did dream reading and these definitions are accurate.

I LOVE this APP!!!!!😍

I love iDream so much, when I first got iDream I thought it was just for writing your dreams down but there’s a whole dictionary and when you write down a dream and put a title it puts in a picture for you which I was SO amazed about. I love iDream and I use it whenever I have a dream. The only problem is that once you write something down and save it you can’t go back and erase something, and I don’t think that you can delete dreams either, but other than that this is literally like the best app EVER!!!!!

Needs more common words

I bought the pro version and I'm still annoyed with it. It doesn't have words that would be useful for me like dizzy or lightheaded, woozy, groggy, fell, etc etc, yet it has Adam and Eve as an option. iDream needs more terms maybe basic terms like the ones listed because in dreams those happen too. It seems like every word I typed in it didn't have. I would just like to see an updated dictionary. It's still a good app but it lacks use for me if it doesn't use words that describe my dreams. Not all dreams can be described but most of mine can.

Solid app, but made it worse...

I normally love iDream. I used to use it quite frequently, but fell out of habit. I decided to start recording my dreams again just last week, and to my dismay, I found that dreams cannot be edited once they've been written. I almost never have the time/patience to write a whole dream down in one sitting, and since the dreams don't auto save (which was a problem before), I constantly end up rewriting dreams. It's inconvenient and makes the task tedious. Otherwise, fun app that does the job. I love how I can lock my diary.

By

Good for simple people..

This is a good app and informative but when it comes to practically interpreting complex dreams it falls horribly short.. If you, like me, have a very.... Interesting mind with vivid dreams that are in lots of detail and very symbolic you tend to have a hard time putting those feelings into words because there simply isn't an english word that's simple enough to be in this dictionary or recognized by iDream that accurately describes how you feel or that describes the symbols that you encounter and how they affect one another to form the whole picture of what the dream actually means.. Like how could you symbolize pure terror that accurately describes how it feels?

Used to love! Update

I used to love iDream so much that I bought the pro version. A few updates into it and it changed to where I can't even look at what I've written. It doesn't underline words that I can look up in the Dream I wrote. I can't see what I'm writing at the time I am writing it. I can't even edit a dream once I've saved it. So frustrating! I stopped using for a while in hopes it would get better. I had a dream last night I wanted to write down and now it's in there but it's of no use to me just sitting there where I can't read it!
Update: now I have no saved dreams that I use to have. I had over 20. Some bs!

Not able to contact suport about problems getting dream meanings

Dreams all gone

I got a new phone iphonexr and have been tracking my dreams here for years, and they are all gone. I tried to write a new dream today and once I clicked save it also disappeared. I’m so sad I liked having all my dreams in one place.
It’s weird when you look up one word and there’s multiple entries that aren’t the same, like laughing and laughter.

By

Pretty informative but journal doesn’t save.

Good app. Has a lot of words to help create meanings from your dreams. The one issue I’m having is when I try to save an entry in my journal, it doesn’t save it.

By

Good app but one problem

I like iDream a lot. The dream search is awesome and extensive but when I wrote in the journal it doesn’t save it. Tried several times but every time I hit save it just disappears and is lost. Very frustrating since that is the main reason I got iDream

By

Useless

I loved I-dream. I started with the free version and liked it so much I upgraded to the pay version. This last upgrade has rendered it useless. If my dream is long, it doesn't record it forcing me to write one dream in several parts. And by long I mean several paragraphs. I am going back to old fashioned pen and paper after losing yet another dream.

By

Nightmarish Update

All of the dreams that I've written down have disappeared with this update! Several years-worth of dream logs are now gone with no apparent way to get them back. I wish I had just written them down physically.
I will be removing iDream today after I write down the five remaining dream logs.
I don't recommend iDream.

By

do not like update.

I hate this new update!!!! navigation is finicky. some definitions have the back button some don’t. it seems harder to navigate than before. and there’s no copy button anymore. I used to rely on that. now I have to select the whole text and copy it manually! ugh!

By

No way to backup or save

I really like iDream but I got a new phone and cannot move my journal. It won’t backup to the cloud. I have no way to log into my account on the new phone - the only option is to create a new account. I searched the website to no avail. Very disappointed.

By

Disappointed in the last update

The last upgrade messed up iDream ; it take more steps to search; it’s not user friendly

By

Does not save my dreams

Not only do I have to keep copying and pasting over and over to save my dreams sometimes iDream will not save them at all. And recently I just switched phones and I realized I lost everything that I wrote in the other one.

By

Lost all journal

iDream lost all my journal of over a year.
iDream can no longer keep any new one either, only capable of ‘limited’ information. We can just look up some key words online.
Disappointed.
